I wish I could do more but I've recently discovered Audiobooks on Spotify so they're great to keep your mind occupied. I had a 4 hour round trip in the car yesterday and really enjoyed it as I listened to Lessons in Chemistry the whole way.

OP if you’re self employed you can actually get ESA. It’s not much but every little helps. I think you can apply online so that will make it easier for you too, ring your GP for fit (sick) notes.

Peclet · 01/10/2024 17:14

So pleased you can go home, that will be better. Being in hospital is really stressful so it will be good to be in your own bed.

TealRaven · 01/10/2024 17:30

So sorry to hear that x

They said they need to do a biopsy. I will get an appointment to see neurologist for that. They are going to slowly reduce the steroids I'm on but I'm They said I can go home and wait. I'm still panicking about it being in right front.
They are sorting my tablets out now and dh has just gone home to phone my parents and get the car. Ds is at a friends house till later.

Sending light and prayers....

A family member was diagnosed with a brain tumour a couple of years ago. It was a scary diagnosis but it was all benign. It was removed and recovery was quick.

Sending lots of love to you. I hope you have a full diagnosis soon. Flowers

Tinaforshort · 01/10/2024 17:53

I just wanted to give you my very best wishes going forward OP Flowers

letiton · 01/10/2024 17:54

Please try not to panic OP, a very close family member was told they had a brain tumour 16 years ago now. Yes it hasn't been all smooth sailing with surgery and treatment but they are still with us and doing very well today although living with the tumour. There is more than one kind of brain tumour and not all are as you might fear. They will need to biopsy to find out what kind of tumour you have and determine what to do next. Please try not to panic.

Dollydaydream, you absolute arsehole.

This woman doesn't need your bullshit.

Dollydaydream is this really the best you could come up with? This is all you have to offer? Nasty.

nunsflipflop · 01/10/2024 18:19

Glad you’re going home, you always rest better at home I think x

Kate8889 · 01/10/2024 18:31

The one thing that helps me when I'm feeling untethered is interacting with my pets. OP I hope you make time to do what makes you feel joy, be it going out in nature or spending time with loved or anything else similar to help you feel better at this tough time.

Partridgewell · 01/10/2024 18:38

OP, you are in my thoughts. I hope you get to go home with some positive news soon.

Lookingforward01 · 01/10/2024 18:38

@Wells37 I've been thinking of you all day. Sending positive thoughts and well wishes xx

spiderlight · 01/10/2024 18:43

Glad you're going home - you need your own bed. I hope you don't have too long a wait for your neuro appointment and your biopsy.

TheBerry · 01/10/2024 18:44

So sorry OP. What a scary time for you. There’s nothing I can say, but sending hugs.

Askingforafriendtoday · 01/10/2024 18:47
