In a&e just told I have a brain tumour

Just that really. It's 2cm ish on ct scan symptoms for 5 weeks. I can't stop crying. I just sent dh home as kids are at home.

Just seen this post pop up. I've been where you are, but mine was front left temporal lobe. Lots of scans, emergency brain surgery, discharged two days later and back to cooking a full roast dinner for husband and kids 48 hours later. What goes through your brain is horrific. It does get easier, kind of. There are still dark times, BUT, I am still here. If a fat and frumpy 50odd year old can do it, so can you.

Once you find out exactly what it is, and what the plan is, as there will be one, please (as I always recommend) go to Maggies if you need someone to talk to. They are all over the country.

Apologies if I've just re-typed what someone else has said, I have just read your posts, as its still too raw to do more, but I wanted to show you some support. I will be thinking about you and hope you come back to let the wonderful people on mumsnet provide support, as I have no doubt they will.

I’m so sorry you’re facing this. I had a similar situation last year - a 6cm brain tumour with a lot of pressure on surrounding brain tissue. I’m very happy to connect if it would be useful to talk to someone a little further down the path you’re about to travel.
