Ihaveneedofwaternear · 01/10/2024 10:35

Thinking of you, OP. The shock and tiredness will.makr everything seems much more difficult. There are lots of possible outcomes; it's so natural to focus on the worst, try to stay in the moment as much as you can for now xxx

spiderlight · 01/10/2024 10:39

I hope it's a nice big ward they've moved you to, because all of us will be crammed in there with you today, holding your hand.

Maybepossibly22 · 01/10/2024 10:41

Sending you love OP. Just another one pulling up a chair to join you - we’ll be sitting on each others laps round your bed at this rate x

Thinking of you too xxx.

Get your husband to bring some earplugs in, was the only way I could sleep in hospital

crumblingschools · 01/10/2024 10:42

Another one pulling up a chair and offering a hand to hold.

Plippleton · 01/10/2024 10:59

Edited to add: recommending a podcast!

Bringitonnowibeg · 01/10/2024 11:10

Hoping for positive news today x

Janedoe82 · 01/10/2024 11:41

Hope good news today x

Alltheyearround · 01/10/2024 11:43

Fingers firmly crossed. At this point we're taken over the ward and the nurses have run out of things to put flowers in.

I also know of someone who had quite a large tumour removed and is fine. There is a lot science can do. It's a shock but let's hope for some positive news once consultants and more tests done.

You are not alone. So many of us rooting for you here.

Grmumpy · 01/10/2024 11:43

My sisters partner had a very similar experience. First surgery everyone terrified but all went well. Then monitored for a year. All good. It is understandable to panic but try to think of anything but what is going on and also definitely stop googling. Hope all goes well.

MounjaroUser · 01/10/2024 11:43

Sending you my best wishes, OP. I really hope everything goes well. Flowers

Isthiscorrect · 01/10/2024 11:47

Joining the ward to hold your hand and fluff your blankets. Could we sneak in a nice candle? To go with all the flowers?
Big hugs and a hand hold. Fingers, toes, eyes, arms and legs crossed for you.

WWGD · 01/10/2024 11:49

Sending love OP

Why on earth would they discharge people in the middle of the night?!

You're doing great, OP. Good luck with the scan.

Edited

They discharge old people frequently in the middle of the night. Makes it harder for relatives to refuse them. It's a horrendous way to treat people.

Hogglehedge · 01/10/2024 11:58

Sending huge hugs and love ❤️ 💐💐💐💐💐

Apparently there's lots of swelling around it.

Not sure if it's a good idea to to phone anyone

what do you need? A hug? A cuddle from Mum? Space to think? would want to be there for my DD.
I hope it turns out well in the end for you xxxx
