Fat airics

Now that I have safely got my order in for two lime green fat airics (chilli sadly out of stock already), I can tell you that they are back in stock again. I was on the waiting list and just got a message from them, they have 400 in stock. So glad Aldi didn't have the cheap ones in stock on Monday now!

Have just ordered exactly the same having had the call from them that the chilli are out of stock - here's hoping they transform our camping experience into a more comfortable one - happy camping glastocat!

muffle · 20/05/2009 16:26

Have started the exact same thread (after ordering mine ). Two jaffa ones here.

troutpout · 20/05/2009 16:27

ooh me too!
i've gone for one lime and one jaffa (which is completely irrelevant)...but it's so exciting

muffle · 20/05/2009 16:31

Irrelevant???! One's camping equipment colour scheme is surely the entire point a big part of the fun!

Looking forward to the "hyperventilating as we rip open our fat airic parcels" thread now!

troutpout · 20/05/2009 16:36

lol muffle

glastocat · 20/05/2009 17:14

lol muffle, so funny that no-one posted until they had their order in! I wonder who got the chilli ones, they were gone within minutes?! I fecked up my credit card number the first time and when I reinput they were already sold out of the chilli!

bounces excitedly

I am quite evil though, I only ordered two. My kid can sleep on a spike when camping so I reckoned he didn't need one.

Same here glasto, but DS loves his readybed so I didn't think he'd mind.

It's sharing an airbed that's the problem and that's why I'm looking forward to test-driving these babies so much. Imagine a night's sleep without being boinged 4 feet into the air by DP turning over in the night. Bliss!

(they'd better live up to the hype now...)

spokette · 20/05/2009 19:06

I bought my chilli coloured Fat Airics just before they ran out of stock[smug emoticon].

Will be using them for the first time this bank holiday weekend!!

VanillaPumpkin · 20/05/2009 19:53

Got mine ordered after an email from them! Had to go for the very dull kelp and black . Was seriously tempted by the jaffa but DH making noises about it getting dirty so I complied with his dullwishes. He is not entirely convinced by my claims (from you all on here) so I thought I should keep him sweet (as at he at least let me order them......)

Yay!!!

smee · 20/05/2009 20:27

I got the kelt/grey one - deliberately boring so DS won't try and snaffle it

bea · 20/05/2009 21:45

i got a lime one.... very excited....!

pootle1803 · 20/05/2009 21:58

2 lime ones here - ordered literally minutes after I happened to be on line and got the email saying they're back in stock. From the looks of all the messages here, I wouldn't be surprised if they're out of stock again already!
I really hope they're all they're cracked up to be as I haven't actually told DH yet that I've just spent £80 on our new sleeping mats that he wasn't convinced by..........whoops!
Think it's hilarious that everyone ordered before doing the decent(?) thing of letting everyone know they are back in stock!!

Doodledoo · 20/05/2009 22:35

Ahhh so t'was Spokette who managed to bag the chilli option. Ours are arriving tomorrow and I'll be logging on to hear how everyone got on. Two limes for myself and my parter. Incidently, we'll be encased in an Outwell Montana which we put up in the garden the other day and it nearly dwarfed our house. So if we fall on hard times ...

muffle · 20/05/2009 22:54

We can't put up our coleman galileo in our garden - doesn't fit!

glastocat · 20/05/2009 23:02

Our Aldi eight man can probably be seen from space. Mind you, eight man my arse! Its big enough to stand up in, but has two tiny pods that each are just about big enough for two adults and a wriggly seven year old (and only when he comes in from his pod when he's cold). I can't imagine how 'close' four adults would need to be to sleep in each pod.

I'm gutted as I bought two 5cm thermarests last weekend! However, have done the three granite coasters under the thermarest test, the lying on a concrete floor test, and also the lying up the stairs test, and they seem perfectly comfortable (desperately desperately angry that missed out on fatties, am pretending they wouldn't fit in the car!).

muffle · 21/05/2009 08:11

Paws - looooooosssaah!

troutpout · 21/05/2009 08:18

Oh but thermarests very exciting too Paws...and sound very good. Long as they are comfy and do the job.

I am hoping my dodgy back will stop being so stiff now that i've got the fatties.(got one for dh too so he couldn't moan about me spending money )
Mine coming today

so...its coaster test and concrete floor test ...i'll let you know how i get on.

smee · 21/05/2009 09:25

So did you get an e-mail confirming your orders? I printed off the invoice saying I'd paid but haven't had an e-mail saying it's coming [worried emoticon..]

Surfermum · 21/05/2009 09:30

My pc went tits up yesterday so I didn't get the email - but still managed to order 2 last night around 9pm thanks to a tip off from VanillaPumpkin (my new best friend [weirdy internet stalker emoticon].

Sunshinemummy · 21/05/2009 09:44

Damn I missed them as was waiting from confirmation from DP that I could have them. Amn just going to buy next time.

glastocat · 21/05/2009 10:43

I think they are still in stock Sunshinemummy? Ignore the out of stock bit, click on it and you get the colours available.

Sunshinemummy · 21/05/2009 10:51
