Lost 5 stone last year, gained back two - starting fresh today! Anyone want to join?

I lost 5 stone last year through calorie counting and 16:8 (eating in an 8 hour window). I went from 16st 9lbs to 11st 5. Unfortunately the back end of last year was very stressful and adding Christmas to the mix I'm now 13st 5lbsSad

Does anybody want to join me in calorie counting? I'm aiming for 1,200 cals a day, plenty of walking and a treat day every Tuesday (I ate a large dominoes each week which kept me on track and didn't hinder my loss at all)

The bonus of arguing is the calories worked off by a cool down walk. Grin I hope you’re both good now.

It’s day 7 for me and my first weigh in since starting at 215 pounds and I’m 209.8! Feeling pretty good about that and it’s a definite sign I’m going about things the right way.

tostaky · 20/04/2021 23:12

Ah we are not too far off! I started at 209 and i am now at 202.8.
I got some lovely Hobbs capri in size 14 on sale (super bargain!)
I cant fasten the button yet but hopefully... hopefully... i will be able to in a month (end of may) or two (end of June)! Thats my goal for now!
(After that i want to look ok in a swimsuit)

Apart from walking a bit, i do zero exercise. Do you do anything?

LargeInCharge · 21/04/2021 00:36

Those capris will be your motivation. You’ll be in them comfortably before you know it.

I walk (a bit) but I need to get myself back into exercise. I have a rowing machine that helped me tone up tons last time I lost weight so I’ll get into using that again. I also have weights that I’ll start soon too.
I might look at yoga or beginners Pilates on YouTube to ease me back in.

I find it teally hard to find motivation (and time!!) to do aome exercise. I ised to love yoga but with 3 kids... i need to ne a zen master if i want to do an hour long video! Im thinking of scheduling some swimming with a friend on a friday (day off)
I was quite hungry around 5pm and nearly, very neay gave in.... luckily i had things to do and could think about something else than food.
Im starting to really feel the restricting now. My body wants more!
I had some lovely houmous and some cucumber for dinner and that helped me stay within my goal.

Today and tomorrow are my biggest days at work and more sedentary as well, bring on friday!

tostaky · 21/04/2021 22:28

Sorry about all the typos! Im on my phone

LargeInCharge · 21/04/2021 22:45

You’re doing great and swimming sounds fun (I can’t swim 😂).

Well done for resisting and keeping within your goal too.

Protein is keeping my hunger pangs away and I’m actually enjoying my new healthy eating.

Hi I'm a bit late to the game here but would love to join if this thread is still going?
So fed up with my weight not budging, but struggle to get motivated too!

ChoccyJules · 14/05/2021 13:14

I will join it with you, I have just downloaded MFP today and done my first weigh-in. I want to lose just over two stone.
Going to be a tough weekend!
