When I was growing up my parents had bought their house-an ex council house in a street where at least a quarter of the houses where private-and I got bullied all through primary cos ‘your parents have money’ (they didn’t-dad just refused to rent) what was the worst/daftest thing you where bullied for?

I went to a different riding school from the other girls in class. Same prices just I went to one near my Gran's farm and they went to one nearer our town. The one in the other town did better in competitions etc so I got bullied for trying to "cheat" the other girls by going to the "better school".

I never entered a riding competition... But still got bullied for it.

Rainbowknickers · 05/04/2019 14:08

Oh yes the same group of girls bullied me cos I had riding lessons honest to god they reacted like I’d murdered someone!xxx

I was her friend when no-one else would be. Once we got to secondary she bullied me into silence.

Warmhandscoldheart · 05/04/2019 14:19

I got bullied for wearing glasses, 'speccy four eyes' being a particular favourite taunt.

cliquewhyohwhy · 05/04/2019 14:21

I got bullied for being tall lol.

veeboo · 05/04/2019 14:22

My name, its unusual. Also being tall. And being good in school!

aposterhasnoname · 05/04/2019 14:23

Being “rich” cos my parents owned their house and being a “pauper” cos my mother made my clothes. Often called both in the same breath.

LostPlatypus · 05/04/2019 14:34

Having "strawberry blonde" hair (it was ginger but refusing to call it strawberry blonde was one reason I got bullied aside from the more usual reasons of having ginger hair).

Being a lesbian (I'm bi not gay but accuracy never seems to bother bullies) and supposedly fancying the only obviously lesbian teacher (this was before Section 28 so teachers couldn't discuss stuff like that). Said teacher was in her 50s, which obv to teens in ancient but I hugely respected her, which the bullies (and some teachers (!)) took as confirmation FFS.

Oh and having short hair like another girl in another year so her friends called me her name (when she was there too) and generally followed me around being dicks shouting stuff at me pretending they thought I was their friend. So like "Jane, why are you ignoring us?" usually in a busy corridor so everyone looks at me.

BlueMerchant · 05/04/2019 14:40

Living on a council estate.
Not having Reebok's 'The Pump' trainers.
Strangely I was bullied at Sixth form because I was getting my University tuition fees paid as my family could not have afforded it. We met the criteria.

BollocksToBrexit · 05/04/2019 14:46

For breathing too loud.

Having full/big lips Confused. Makes me laugh now in the lip filler age, although people now ask me where I get mine done Grin

Lllot5 · 05/04/2019 14:52

Tall flat chested red hair glasses. And useless at and kind of sport.

TheQueef · 05/04/2019 14:53

My Dmum having affairs. Blush

Saucery · 05/04/2019 14:53

The coving round my bedroom ceiling was only on 2 walls because it was a larger room converted into 2 with a small landing. She sat there with her nose upturned and sniffed “oh, THAT looks weird!”, then kept bringing it up at school. I remain to this day completely baffled why she picked on that. Coving wasn’t a thing in her much more modern house, perhaps it confused her or something. Or perhaps she was just a total bitch.

Longdistance · 05/04/2019 14:54

Having big ears. I’ve had surgery to have them pinned back since. Also, my parents were foreign, my clothes were short (I’m tall, thanks mum).
But, tbh, these people are still arseholes 🤷🏼‍♀️

FromDespairToHere · 05/04/2019 14:56

From about the age of 12/13 for having big boobs. I used to be called a slag and a tart and accused of sticking my boobs out for attention. In fact I had been sexually assaulted at age 9 and was terrified of male attention. I didn't stick my boobs out, they just stuck out because they were (well, still are!) big.

TarragonSauce · 05/04/2019 14:59

In essence, I was bullied because I removed the source of the staff room's gossip. The school seemed to thrive upon gossiping about one woman - she was lazy/she didn't do her job/she was always hiding in the office/she allowed the students to run riot. Needless to say, they were all nice as pie to said woman's face.
A number of suggestions I made at a staff meeting were taken up by management, which meant that it was clear that everyone was doing their job and was where they were meant to be when they were meant to be. And boundaries were set for student behaviour.
They were all so pissed off that I'd denied them their daily bitchfest, they all stopped speaking to me! Even the lazy woman! Go figure.

ItsAllGone19 · 05/04/2019 14:59

Because I had large breasts, because I enjoyed learning, because my family were poor, because I played an instrument, because I didn't smoke...

I'm sure there was more to be honest. I went to school with arseholes!

BadTigerKitty · 05/04/2019 15:00

My nostrils.

s0ckswithsandals · 05/04/2019 15:03

Because one day I decided not to wear the hair band I usually did.
