What an idiot AW is

ravenAK · 26/02/2010 22:59

Another email sent.

Amy-Louise, cheeky request...I'm an English teacher - would you mind if I used the article/your posts on here as part of a GCSE resource?

My year 9s are doing spoken presentations on 'Injustice' as part of their early coursework - I know they'd be gung-ho for this example!

(No problem if you'd rather I didn't...)

Good for you for taking it further btw.

FatherJack · 26/02/2010 23:10

this seems to dispute that the incident ever took place according to the CCTV footage

pigletmania · 27/02/2010 09:37

I will be writing a long one this evening when dd is in bed and my mum has gone home so that i can give her a more detailed repsonse. Silly woman, she is probably one of those DM readers that made those stupid comments.

pigletmania · 27/02/2010 09:38

To Anne Widdecome, they should wheel her back to retirement.

StealthPolarBear · 27/02/2010 10:25

7days come back an explain. I am annoyed if this didn't happen that you have potentially caused a man to fear for his job - for what?

LilyBolero · 27/02/2010 10:28

It's like media-trolling!!!

McSnail · 27/02/2010 10:28

Yes. I was thinking the same thing.

StealthPolarBear · 27/02/2010 10:28

yes, i thought that

McSnail · 27/02/2010 10:28

As SPB, that is.

StealthPolarBear · 27/02/2010 10:29

Of course I believed her and was probably quite rude to him, if by some miracle he's reading this then I apologise.
Don't want to make the same mistake again but if she did make this up, then I hope they will prosecute. Can they??

Comewhinewithme · 27/02/2010 10:35

7dayweekend I don't understand you at all.

Somebody asked mners to look at this Breastmilk stinks I have read it and am quite shocked just thought I would link.

NoahAndTheWhale · 27/02/2010 10:52

We don't know that sevendays was the person in question anyway do we?

Babieseverywhere · 27/02/2010 11:26

I suggest we wait to hear from 7dayweekend before sharpening pitchforks and all that.

Plus companies can get things wrong. I'm in Lancashire not Bristol but as I said I know a RL mum who DID have this happen to her (a couple of years back mind) So even if it turns out that this particular story is incorrect, this company would still benefit from overhauling their staff training etc.

Plus I wrote a complaint to First Bus company years ago. The bus driver set off as I tried to get to a seat and drove so fast that I was thrown into the bus side window, luckily DD was tied to me in a front carry in a sling and we didn't suffer injury. I spoke to the driver before it happened, asking him to wait for me to sit down before setting off as I have very poor balance (related to inner ear damage) he ignored me. I shouted at him after it happened he just shrugged and ignored me again. The other passengers were so cross and verbal with the driver

When I got off the bus I rang the complaint lady at First. Her first reaction was to tell me the bus I had just got off didn't do the route I was on and that particular bus (I got the reg and bus model number off the front and wrote it on my bus ticket when I got off.) wasn't in that area either

I pointed out it was good manners to at least look into things before telling me I was a liar. The written complaint got a response of a letter saying the driver didn't recall the incident and implied I was lying.

Bearing in mind I had no injuries and my complaint had only requested that they advise all their drivers to keep to the suggested speed limits and to be considerate of older people and mothers with babies allowing them time to sit down before setting off again. i.e. I wasn't after money just improvement of service and I was lied to time after time

In short let's wait for a reply from 7dayweekend a reply or lack of one will say a lot about this situation.

DuelingFanjo · 27/02/2010 11:29

is it possible that the bus driver's complaint was verbal only and so wouldn't have been picked up on the CCTV?

Agree riven.

We do know that Amy is 7day as she was at the Bristol meet up yesterday.

Ivykaty44 · 27/02/2010 13:35

I really am confused

the article I have read say she was not seen to get of the bus at the stop she said on the camera..?

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/02/2010 13:45

seems weird that here says it was all an lie

the driver didnt speak to her and the cctv show her getting off the bus as normal and not being thrown off

the compmay want to contact amy and get her side again, but she hasnt responded to her calls

cctv doesnt lie

7day/amy - if this is really you, then why lie?

Babieseverywhere · 27/02/2010 14:00

Ermm, "cctv doesnt lie" Unless the video was edited, or you are looking at the wrong section, or the wrong day, or the wrong bus or the timecode is not right, or problems with the backup etc.

I honestly have not made my mind up yet. I would like to hear from 7dayweekend again, as without her take on the article in question, I can't decide what to think.

Kamikatze · 27/02/2010 14:10

How very strange. If the story turns out to be untrue, maybe the mother is suffering from postnatal depression/psychosis? In either case, I feel sorry for her.

pigletmania · 27/02/2010 15:20

I am confused . Now i am thinking there must be two sides to this story, there is CCTV footage too and accounts from the driver. I hope that Amy did not lie, if she did, it not only caused upset to those who were lied about but to other bf mums and does no favours in promoting bf.
