Extended breastfeeders - come and answer my 1 question poll

I've read a number of posts recently from extended breastfeeders who mentioned that they've pretty much had enough, but their kids are keen to carry on.

I thought it was an interesting contrast to the stereotype that extended bfers are just needy mums are forcing breastmilk down their protesting children's throats.

So my 1 question poll, if there was a magic button to make your child/toddler self-wean, would you press it? At what age?

Or, if you've stopped bfing but used to be an extended breast-feeder, would you have pressed it and if so at what age?

sorry -DS is 2 and has been fiddling for ages - probably the last 9 months at lease

Depends on the day....Today I wouldn't give it up til he (DS2 2.1 who is nursing in tandem with DD 5 months) wants to. Yesterday I wish I'd never started.
So, at the moment I wouldn't use the magic button but we'll see.

I could never let ds fiddle, used to hold his hands when he was younger. Now he's older I tell him that if he does it we have to say Bye bye milkies!

my first three all self weaned, ds1 at 18mths, ds2 at almost 4yrs and ds3 at 3 and a half yrs.

ds4 had to stop feeding because of illness and i was gutted

i would say at about 3yrs ish.

and it is advisable to think of a good name for it, with one of the madboys we joked about him having 'titty two' after 'titty one' which wasnt a good idea in hindsight as he would come up and ask for titty one, then come back later and ask for titty two

i learnt my lesson and the others called it 'milka'

ds is 2.5 and I'm quite happy for him to feed for however long he wants to
