I know this hass been done before but feel free to contribute anyway
My most extreme places are:
bus
train
plane
circus
sea lion show
every spermarket
walking round farm park
fairground

Mine are a bit lame so keep them coming. Points will be awarded for originality, distance from home and opportunities for disapproving looks

Hard shoulder of the M6, in the front of a police armed response vehicle. They were the 1st police on the scene after our crash on the M6, DD was 4 months. Only after I'd fed her did I realise there was a video camera filming the inside of the car.

Haylstones:
It was a low flat branch & the tree was on a hill, so I just slide along the branch & leaned against the tree trunk. Did have both feet on branch, so I reckon it counts as up a tree
I did feel a bit like some hippy tree elf

Haylstones · 06/05/2008 15:26

Definitely counts as being up a tree

on the train but standing up which was quite tricky
the bounadry at the Oval ( Eng vs South Africa) the nice steward saw baby was getting too hot and let me sit in front of the stand on a picnic blanket. Fantastic view!
Crystal Palace. Right by the 100m start and DS bit down every time the gun went off. Ouch.

During a students party games social at our Church, just kept getting grins off the students.
During pretty much every service we go to.
During a meeting at my local branch of the Halifax, the manager who was doing my customer review was raving about how wonderful bfing was and she couldn't wait to have her own babies so she could bf them - her sister has bfed her 2 kids

Kathyis6incheshigh · 06/05/2008 15:51

I think tree should win the prize.

Best expressing location for me was at Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons. The very helpful waiter provided me with a very lovely room, a bottle of chilled water and a newspaper while I expressed in piece.

Haylstones · 06/05/2008 18:07

Nobody bf at the top of a mountain or at Buckingham Palace then?

No.

But I did startle a group of teenagers doing DofE who trooped past, whispered to each other, then several of them trooped back past to see if it was really true.

humpf - I haven't really done any 'extreme' feeding. Usual places - crowded service stations, hospital waiting rooms, pretty dull really...

I did take 4 month old DS along to my works Christmas party and fed him a few times during the afternoon.

The worst place had to be after DS had screamed his way round the supermarket I found myself crouched on someones front wall in mid-january trying to discreetly latch him on through about 6 layers of clothes.

Rhubarb · 06/05/2008 18:34

I could manage breastfeeding whilst standing up after a time, and then even whilst walking around doing stuff.

I've fed in the back of a catholic church whilst visiting custy. Also in a pub whilst having a pint of Guinness. Oh and on the telly. But I was the Queen of breastfeeding whilst never so much as showing an ounce of flesh.

tori32 · 06/05/2008 18:38

Sgts mess.
Cafes
swimming pool cubicle.
car while parked on a high street.
bench in town.
Not extreme, but they are for someone who had to express to go out with dd1

bramblebooks · 06/05/2008 18:46

In the back of our Anglican church, after which ds2 did a very loud nappy during prayers, which sent the old dears in front of us into paroxysms of giggles.

Everywhere really.

Persuaded friend that it was ok to feed outside of her house, took her to quiet area of pub, she got out her boob ready to give to baby (all of about 2 weeks, so not too experienced) and the window was suddenly lit up with floodlights and a load of old men staring in as it was their evening bowls game. Think we made their night.

At MIL's funeral

Planes, Trains, ferries, boats, and automobiles too many times to list...

Art Galleries, museums, aquariums, ferris wheels, cathedrals cinemas, the opera house, the Mall, open top bus tours, the UN...

I have fed babies in Canada, France, UK, Italy, USA, Slovenia, Austria, Hungary, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and now in Switzerland.

When DD2 was 5 days old I fed her at the top of the Empire State Building and was warned that it was illegal... The employee was incorrect but I really wished that I could be caught so that I could put it in DD2's baby book.

Hey! This must be the most extreme place: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roosevelt_Island_Tramway

I am an anywhere, anytime baby is hungry feeder. (The only exception is in the first days of life when I am disastrously uncoordinated. I don't like Nork displays...)
