I know this hass been done before but feel free to contribute anyway
My most extreme places are:

walking round farm park
fairground

Mine are a bit lame so keep them coming. Points will be awarded for originality, distance from home and opportunities for disapproving looks

While going down a slide, climbing a climbing frame and generally following my toddler round a playground

Up a hill in the Lake District.
While steering a narrowboat.... but Mrs Badger has beaten me to it

peasholme · 06/05/2008 13:54

fire engine
tuk tuk

peasholme · 06/05/2008 13:55

can't beat going down a slide though!

belgo · 06/05/2008 13:55

On plenty of planes. Was even told on one plane that I couldn't bf during take off and landing as dd2 had to sit on my lap with her back to me.

I have managed to bf dd2 in the back of the car, with her in a rear facing car seat and me sat beside her, all seat belts still firmly on!

I've mentioned before on mumsnet, I have a friend who bf her dd whilst in her wedding dress standing at the alter

HeadFairy · 06/05/2008 13:55

Gatwick airport departures... then a couple of hours later (big delay at the airport) as we thundered down the runway.
On the same theme... on the beach in St Lucia
In the back of a jeep driving along an unmade road (very slowly, ds was screaming and we still had hours to go!)
more restaurants than I care to remember
Wandsworth common (sw London)

Brangelina · 06/05/2008 13:57

At the notary when exchanging contracts to buy my house
On loads of planes
In the aisle at the local DIY superstore - cue 3 shop assistants running up to me with a chair and cushion.
Every restaurant going
At a gallery opening
In a bathroom shop

HeadFairy · 06/05/2008 13:57

x post belgo... I asked the stewie and they had no problems with me bfing as we took off so long as he was in the extension bit of the seat belt.

weasle · 06/05/2008 13:57

walking round the park

lots of weddings and 1 civil partnership sitting at the top table

crematorium (had to detach ds to stand up and give eulogy for my grandma)

whilst opening bank account for ds1

walking round london zoo in january. chilly tummy!

sitting waiting for an interview this morning!

i have no shame

belgo · 06/05/2008 13:59

Headfairy - It was only one airline which had a problem with this. Like you, I had previously bf with her strapped into the extention seat belt. But this one airline where insistent I wasn't allowed to do this as she had to sit with her back to me. We had had a four hour delay, and it was midnight, so it was all rather stressful.

belgo · 06/05/2008 14:00

that's great brangelina!

hatwoman · 06/05/2008 14:01

this is such a fab thread. 'twould make good fodder for a pro-feeding journo...

and surely the prize for the most "extreme" - in any sane person's book - goes to the dank smelly Mothercare loo?

Brangelina · 06/05/2008 14:01

Which one?
Did I win?

belgo · 06/05/2008 14:02

I meant the DIY shop assistents win for being so helpful!

Brangelina · 06/05/2008 14:03

Yes, they were pretty cool. I must admit I did panic a bit when I saw these 3 guys running in my direction, then I spotted the chair.

mrsgboring · 06/05/2008 14:06

at Llareggub. I once fed DS throughout the bathing, drying dressing and placing in cot process. He didn't latch off once. Will have to try the mummy in bath method some time

Kathyis6incheshigh · 06/05/2008 14:22

Has anyone done sailing yet? Have fed ds while sailing down the Medina at Cowes. In lifejackets, of course.

funnypeculiar · 06/05/2008 14:34

Am loving these - down a slide wins for me so far.

charchargabor · 06/05/2008 14:38

Thanks belgo! Twas either that or hear DD roar!I have bf in church as well during Mass, didn't hear any tuts then! Then again, we are quite practised now. My great aunt asked me on Sunday if I was still bfing - 10 mins after I fed DD!

NorwichMummy · 06/05/2008 14:47

Took ds to Oz to watch the Ashes Nov 06 and fed him whilst watching cricket in Brisbane and Adelaide surrounded by the Barmy Army and Aussies all pissed. No tutting but one bloke did comment that ds looked to be enjoying his cuddles!

That's probably the most extreme I've done, but done lots of aeroplane/train/park/bus stop feeding in my time

mumclaire · 06/05/2008 14:48

Just been to Disney world and pretty much fed dd2 (10 wks) whenever I sat down on a ride so Finding Nemo, winnie the pooh, its a small world, buzz lightyear, pirates of teh carribbean the lot. Couldn't quite manage it on flying dumbo though - mostly cos I had 2yr old dd1 next to me making elephant go up and down which made it difficult . Also did dolphin and sealion show at seaworld and of course the plane there and back.

kiskideesameanoldmother · 06/05/2008 14:50

sitting on a plinth in the loading bay at Ikea w/ 2yo
sitting on a fence infront of Lidl in Javea
(class bird, me) also w/2yo

in a pick your own strawberry field in Northumberland

my aunt's funeral and cremation (and every sunday I went to church)

on a steam train between Dartmouth and Paignton (see my profile)

The Louvre, Paris

The New Angel, Dartmouth

extreme expressing: in an Executive Box (unoccupied) at St James' Park (Newcastle)

freakypenguin · 06/05/2008 14:55

Whilst talking to a Bishop.

I don't think he even realised!

pampam · 06/05/2008 14:59

numerous train journeys, once in the guards van on the floor as there were no seats, next to the bags of rubbish (bleurgh). Outside Tropical World in Roundhay park about a month ago (extreme cos she was 22 months old) to calm her down from a tantrum.
Have fed on aeroplanes, in shops, cafe's and on the floor at the wedding show when i went with my sister last year (and at her wedding).
Not that extreme i suppose, love the feeding from the bath idea, might have to try that although i think dd would just want to get in as well.

Haylstones · 06/05/2008 15:09

These are all so fab, am glad I asked now!
Like belgo, I have also managed to feed in the back of a car with dd in a rear facing seat without undoing any seatbelts
I still want to know how funnypeculiar fed up a tree though

Whilst addressing an AGM
In the study of a 'the Very Reverend' during a meeting
In a promenade performance a show featuring lots of naked men in a darkened art gallery
On a ferry in a storm while everyone else was throwing up all around
In the drivers seat, on the M11 (traffic totally standstill for over an hour, everyone out of their cars, doors wide open etc etc - not doing 70 in the middle lane...)
