Is the GMTV breastfeeding piece going to be shown on Wednesday?

I had heard a rumour it was, but it isn't in their "what's on" listings.

However, I did find this on their website today, which seems to be a little more balanced in terms of debate. Perhaps it is hoping to do the piece without warning us [cloak and dagger emoticon]

Dr Hillary's comments will make you want to flick his silly head though.

You have been warned.

oh my &^%$

StealthPolarBear · 06/02/2008 08:24

"bizarre unusual and not necessary" - he could be talking about himself really, couldn't he?

PortAndLemon · 06/02/2008 08:25

Hilary Jones is the only person I've ever encountered who actually and seriously used the line "Don't you know who I am?" (well, actually he used it to a colleague/friend of mine, rather than to me directly). Blech.

It was also meant to be on last week. I suspect they are moving slots to try and find a time and date that they won't be covered in complaints by viewers.

Little did they consider how fast information travels online.

MegBusset · 06/02/2008 08:28

My god, what a twat

StealthPolarBear · 06/02/2008 08:30

is dr hilary a man or woman? I had to carefully phrase my comment to gmtv

StealthPolarBear · 06/02/2008 08:30

has it been on?

MegBusset · 06/02/2008 08:30

A man... I really hope that no woman would ever come out with this level of complete nonsense

MegBusset · 06/02/2008 08:33

They have just trailed it on LK

princessmama · 06/02/2008 08:36

This is going to really irritate me, I can hardly bear to watch. Did anyone see the woman who thought it was'ewww' on the trailer?

StealthPolarBear · 06/02/2008 08:39

did they mention a time?
Have just had the quickest shower I can manage and now plan to have breakfast with the TV on in the other room!

BabiesEverywhere · 06/02/2008 08:40

A mother like this , still feeding an 4.5 year old.

This is going to be so biased

StealthPolarBear · 06/02/2008 08:43

are we going to have a bet about how long until someone says "bitty"?

pooka · 06/02/2008 08:45

Dr Hillary Jones says that feeding beyond a year is "bizarre". And all about the mother.
I find it amazing (and bizarre ) that as a doctor he is publicly spouting crap completely contrary to WHO guidance and other respected sources.

Jaysthird · 06/02/2008 08:46

I only breastfed for a short while with my first two, am currently pregnant and intend on BF again but personally i wouldn't want to be breastfeeding my child when they they reached 4 1/2 its just not my cuppa tea - HOWEVER, i do feel its a choice that every mother has, i hope this report is going to be reported with a balanced view and not just how 'bad' it is.....
coffee and toast at the ready, kids off playing, will be watching with interest!!

StealthPolarBear · 06/02/2008 08:46

pooka I sent a comment to gmtv alond those lines
At least this weeks seems slightly less mind numbing than the mascara fest of last week

StealthPolarBear · 06/02/2008 08:47

Jaysthird, we can hope...I hope at least they've moved on from the parading the freaks attitude of last week

pooka · 06/02/2008 08:49

How annoying is Lorraine Kelly?

princessmama · 06/02/2008 08:54

I hate her ever-so-slightly condescending tone.

StealthPolarBear · 06/02/2008 08:57

on in a few minutes apparently

princessmama · 06/02/2008 09:02

I hope so, I can't watch this utter drivel for much longer.

runnyhabbit · 06/02/2008 09:07

omfg

lk just said they have teeth at 4.5yrs

hello? my 10mth has 8 teeth - should I stop?

ffs

PortAndLemon · 06/02/2008 09:07

"There's nothing wrong with it"

vs.

"It's bizarre, unusual and not necessary"

???

He just doesn't want the woman to slap him...

PortAndLemon · 06/02/2008 09:07
