I've complained to the editor actually.
As follows:
"Dear Sirs,
I have read this article, and aside from being absolutely outraged by this woman and her ignorance on breast milk nutrition, I really feel I must take issue with one particular aspect of it. You call this woman, Annabel Karmel, an ?expert?. As far as I can see, she?s not an expert on breastfeeding, or nutrition in breast milk. At best, she?s an author of recipe books for parents weaning their children. She?s famous for making interesting ?pictures? out of vegetables and food to entice children, and for ?hiding? vegetables in dinners. Whilst you could say that her meals are ?nutritionally balanced?, that doesn?t make them the absolute best thing for a baby under 6 months and guidelines from the WHO and the Government certainly contradict this.
I object to her being referred to as an expert without anything to back up her ?qualifications?. She?s an author, not an expert. Or else is J K Rowling is an ?expert? on wizardry and magic........??????
Yours faithfully,"
I'm full of PMT, and in retrospect, the comment comparing her with JK Rowling was a little tenuous and childish, but I still feel it needed saying
