I would rather not give some 'joe blogg' off ebay the business as I have ordered sssooooo much from breastfeedingheaven and always had a great service. was gonna get some more lansinoh washable bra pads too so would save on postage anyway..

Banana, be sure to update us on your experience with the 'wonder stuff!'

I think there's a bit more, I accidentally squished my boob with my arm as I was getting dressed this morning and milk sprayed up my arm, but they're usually full in the mornings so we'll see! never seen them squirt/spray before though.

determination · 06/09/2007 18:34

well banana, come on any update? robin and I are patiently waiting to see if your noticing a real difference.

  • quicker feeds?

  • do u feel a stronger letdown?

  • longer time between feeds?

what's happening?!!

bananabump · 06/09/2007 20:53

nothing much yet although oddly my boobs feel fuller! haven't had a chance to really see today cos we went shopping and had errands to run so he had a bottle of formula and slept for hours

will report back tomorrow!

robinredbreast · 09/09/2007 13:49

how u getting on now banana?

Hi Robin, well, I've been taking it a few days now, and I do think I have more milk (haven't been leaking/spraying loads but when James is feeding I can hear lots more swallowing than before) HOWEVER, James's appetite has also increased, meaning I still don't seem to have enough to satisfy him.

I usually sit feeding from when we get up at roughly 6.30-7.30am til about 3 or 4pm, he just feeds constantly til I feel drained and tired and he's STILL asking for more. I end up giving him formula at dinnertime just so he'll sleep and I can get something done or eat something. He loves formula cos he can guzzle it faster and there's always enough. He sleeps deeply afterwards, but when I try to make him just have breastfeeds he doesn't sleep for longer than 30 mins at a time, and wakes up screaming and ravenous.

I don't know how to stop it happening, he can drink constantly from me and still happily guzzle 3 or 4 bottles of formula a day if I let him. I may as well just accept that we're mix feeding and get on with it.

OP posts:
determination · 22/09/2007 13:45

I think they both do the same thing really. I didn't notice much of a difference between them. But definately the alcohol free is FAR FAR more pleasant! 4oz lasted me 1month that is the biggest they have im sure.

I just got my package today from them i ordered 2 bras and 2 vest tops - figured the tops would be good under jumpers in the winter. What a great service.. i order late on Thursday night and recieved it today.

robinredbreast · 22/09/2007 13:47

can you overdose on this stuff lol
i want to drink the lot lol

OP posts:
determination · 22/09/2007 14:24

If you take too much you would almost cerainly run the risk of blocked ducts, Mastitis, abcesses... which having had experience with those kind of problems would strongly suggest not to take too much I definately is good stuff though. Do you have enough to donate yet?

robinredbreast · 22/09/2007 15:40

is that causes abcesses? i didnt know that

well i only took it for a coule of weeks
so im gonna start taking it again

OP posts:
determination · 22/09/2007 17:58

it is really good for increasing your milk as long as you stick to the guidelines. You would really only run the risk of further problems if you start to majorly overproduce.

robinredbreast · 22/09/2007 18:29

ok dont worry i wont
i guess you dont really think of other probs you could have
only the ones you do

wonder how bananais

verylittlecarrot · 25/09/2007 13:30

Hi Ladies
I received my bottle of more milk plus alcohol free today, but the liquid looks suspiciciously like pondwater scum...hmmm. Is it meant to look like this or have I got a duff batch? there is a green slimy coating on the dropper...most unappealing. In any other product I would assume this was a nasty growth that shouldn't be there, but since it's a herbal extract, perhaps it's meant to be like this... Can you please let me know if this is what it's meant to look like? Thanks!
