My Boobs Wont Stop Growing

Hiya...
Im BFing my DS (which I presume is to blame) and although I was never small, its getting abit OTT the "growth spurts" im gowing through! I was D/DD pre-pregnancy, about an E at the end... and they keep growing now! Im not putting on weight, im actually on abit of a diet - is Bfing causing this? I bought an F nursing bra (biggest I could find) and I still spill over the top! Will it ever stop??????

going, not gowing

I think this is normal, when I was bfing dd1 mine became gargantuan and I am normally a 34 - 36A! but they are small again now. I was incredulous at how huge mine were, like Jordan's but without the financial gain. What a missed opportunity for me!

archiesmummy · 03/10/2006 11:06

LOL QuootieSpookypie, Mine actually just got bigger again and my DS is 9 months now, although I'm only a D cup now... not sure when they stop growing really, sorry

QuootieSpookypie · 03/10/2006 11:10

I'm a 32DD normally , get a little bigger during pregnancies. First nursing bra after this baby was a 32F, then a 32G. Then that got too small and the last one was a 32J . baby is 9 montsh now so I hope they wont get any bigger.

i find it a real nuisance, I can get in my pre pg jeans but my tops were a size 8-10 and I'm now a 42 inch bust which is an 18!! I've had to go out and buy loads of tops which fall off my shoulders ( revealing a sexy bf bra strap) and make me still look pg. You cant get nice Bf bras in my size. Even teh ones I have are not a good enough support and so my HUGE bust isnt even shapely. Sigh

They dont tell you about thsi in all the Bf propaganda leaflets. GRRRRRRRRR

QuootieSpookypie · 03/10/2006 11:21

lol, yeah. Anyone know any SUPPORTIVE bf bras?

No sorry I've had 2 babies and now pg with third and my boobs now nearly scrape the floor!! I know you're not supposed to wear underwires whilst pregnant but all the other bras I have tried just leave me looking like my boobs and bump have merged into one.

poppiesinaline · 03/10/2006 12:49

Wish I had that problem >

jennster · 03/10/2006 12:49

At least they aren't as wonky as mine. Just recently they look like like they are several cup sizes apart...men have noticed....

poppiesinaline · 03/10/2006 13:09

least you've got boobs for men to notice

jabberwocky · 03/10/2006 13:12

Lol, I know what you mean. When I was bfing ds mine were enormous! A friend of mine referred to them as my "big milkies" I always had thought it would be nice to have slightly bigger ones, but tbh I couldn't wait for them to go back down.

dollyp · 03/10/2006 13:49

If you have big boobs (34h here without being pg or BF ) then try Bravissimo for a decent nursing bra. They offer decent support and come in 2 exciting colours (white AND black!!). Definitely worth a look, and not too harness like.

Ruth2808 · 03/10/2006 13:50

The problem is that although they get big during pregnancy they turn into big but deflated balloons when I've finished breastfeeding.

Mumpbump · 03/10/2006 13:53

There is an underwired bf bra - think it's called Anita, but can't remember who makes it. Would probably turn up on a google search...

QuootieSpookypie · 03/10/2006 13:57

cheers - ill have a good look. lol@ deflated balloons - my DH said spaniel ears!!

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 03/10/2006 13:59

I read a story in Take a Break about a women who was 34C before she fell pg with her first. By the time she'd had her 2nd she was something like a 36GG !

jennster · 04/10/2006 21:03

Anita underwire here

jennster · 04/10/2006 21:05

and another brand here

jennster · 04/10/2006 21:05

DH uses the expression spaniels ears, and it aint for deflated breasts......

QuootieSpookypie · 04/10/2006 21:17

Great stuff - thanks! they stock my size

It says that DDD is the equivalent of E. HTH

tigi · 04/10/2006 22:04

I used to be a 34b/c and now a 36dd. They never went down- my son is 4 now!
They aren't floppy though, but I do wish they were smaller!

OzJo · 05/10/2006 03:03

I can remember some midwife going on about making sure the babies lips were properly placed whist bfing...and thinking that when the poor buggers head is about 1/4 of the size of my breast it was a bit accademic really. i ended up with an f cup, though could have gone higher (there just weren't any to be found). My tits have returned to a normal, though deflated, c cup. I was more freaked out by the enormous dimensions that my nipples took on! Most glad when they reverted to the usual size.

footprint · 05/10/2006 06:40

Hi Quootie, happened to me too, I thought they'd never stop! But they did!! I can't remember when the change happened though. Anyway, they are back to a normalish (C/D cup) size now and I'm still breastfeeding dd who is nearly two and a half. So, don't despair, it will stop and just keep reminding yourself what a great thing you're doing for your daughter.

I can recommend bravado nursing bras. I wore the largest size for the first year and now wear the medium "plus" size. They are stretchy and very supportive. You can buy online.

bobsmum · 05/10/2006 08:05

I clicked on this thread expecting to find some guiness book of records sizes - but these are all teeny!! You're all v lucky!

I was a 36D and went to a 34J (which was snug tbh). I'm now only a 34G, but at just 5 foot tall - you can imagine I'm not exactly in proportion Aching back too... DD is nearly 16 months now and down to 2 feeds a day, but I don't think that's making them big - only weightwatchers can sort that out now!!
