Sorry I haven't been posting very much. I've been too tired at night time!

Ds is fast asleep now. We've already had one waking but he fed for about 10 minutes then went back to sleep. His cheek is really red again and he's now got two teeth pushing through so I think that may be why he's been waking up very upset.

Sky setup man is coming tomorrow morning... I'm so excited! Finally will have some proper telly to watch in our new home! We've got baby massage in the morning so I will be dying to get home!

Wow it really has gone quiet around here!

Madam is undergoing her 4mth sleep regression a bit early well I bloody hope so, it can't get worse again can it? and it not only taking hours to get down with lots of screaming etc she's waking u every 2hrs.

I am shattered plus something's just twanged in my neck. Ouch!

larlemucker · 07/06/2013 04:29

Baby larle took forever to get to sleep last night. Ended up taking his gro bag off and he has slept in a baby gro. Think he was just too warm.

Think we're up for the second time tonight so not bad going at all.

Water babies is back on today so looking forward to that. Also the woman who runs booby group has some new wraps which she is selling so this morn we will be testing them for her!!

Hope it's quiet cos everyone is asleep and not just too tired to post!!!

abi2790 · 07/06/2013 06:37

Ds slept from 8 until 6!! [Grin] He stirred quite a bit when getting onto his tummy but it didn't wake him. He's still tired though but refusing to go back to sleep. He keeps trying to play whilst rubbing his eyes and yawning! I bet as soon as I take him downstairs he'll go straight to sleep.

Afternoon all! Back from a lovely sunny week's holiday. Sleep still shocking but nice to beep at all hours in new surroundings!!

Had told myself that we'd have to 'sort this sleep thing out' after Holiday but not actually sure what that means now. Sleep training? Is she still too young though?

Wll read back through thread later to catch up. Hope some of you have had miraculous improvements. I just glimpsed sight of a thread called 'how to cope when your baby starts to sleep through'!! Seriously!! How to cope!! I'd be having a bloody party! Oh no, hang on....I'd be asleep!

Anypants · 08/06/2013 02:13

Morning!
We're trying DD in her cot in her room tonight. Can't claim success as she's awake and feeding now. She went down at 8.30 though so could be just first night nerves and am praying she'll go back to sleep without a fuss Hmm

SoYo · 08/06/2013 06:02

How did it go Any?

Anypants · 08/06/2013 08:29

Well - not too bad. She was up at 2am and only fed for 15 mins and went back to sleep quickly. Then she woke again at 5am and I angrily fed her, again for 15 mins but then realised she smelled of poo... I've put up blackout blinds and had to change her in the dark (with the door slightly ajar) so as not to let her know it was 'morning'. Tricky but it worked.(although there is a pile of pooey clothes and a blanket that I need to address fairly soon). I fed her back to sleep Blush but she then lasted until now - I woke up at 8 and went in to see her awake and happily playing. Nothing helps you after an up and down night like a big smile from your LO when you say 'good morning'! Grin

abi2790 · 08/06/2013 08:47

Morning all.

Ds was asleep at 8:30 and woke at 12, 3 and 7. Not a great night for us but I don't feel too tired. We had some drunks shouting outside our house at 2am which really pissed me off but luckily only woke me and not ds.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend in the sun :)

Aaaaaaarrrrrgggghhhh. Screamy crying from 5pm until 10pm - just wouldn't go to sleep. Is now asleep but feel I haven 't won yet.

Just saying. Envy

Anypants · 09/06/2013 01:04

Nooooo. Up already? WTF have I done wrong today? DH is away tonight and I am really having a s*it time. Why me and why now? No fair.
Angry

larlemucker · 09/06/2013 03:29

Teething or colic any?

What happened on BGT tonight with the eggs? Those poor blokes, very impressed that they carried on singing.

We've been product testing carriers today, baby larle has enjoyed it as he has been facing out for the first time!

Urgh, so tired! Can hardly keep eyes open

Hope it's quiet cos people are sleeping

Anypants · 09/06/2013 08:11

Larle - I think colic as I couldn't feel any teeth and she hasn't got red cheeks. Also, it was on and off crying so she'd get louder amd louder and then be quiet (not asleep) for around 10 mins. And she was fine and happily played at bathtime (7.30) but just continued screaming after that. Followed the bedtime routine but she was wide awake after her feed and just got more screamy. I finally gabe in and fed her to sleep at 9pm which did the trick. She woke at 1 and 5 last night and I even popped her back in the moses between those times but after the 5am feed she wouldn't settle so I put her back in the cot (where I couldn't hear her so much Blush )
So, in addition to the colic, we've gone from 8.30pm - around 5am most nights to an extra wake up now at 1 or 2am.
To make matters worse, DH was away last night (back later today) but I was literally losing it at several points and had noone to hand her to for a break Sad
Rant over. Now I have to face going to church this morning to sort out DD's christening - right when she'll ne due her next feed. Smashing - everyone loves a crying baby in church, don't they? Envy

lazzaroo · 09/06/2013 10:47

Morning all. Thank god the sun is shining....makes it slightly easier to drag myself out of bed!

Last night was ok by our standards. Only one feed between 7pm and 2.30am and she stayed in her cot, but it all went a bit pear shaped after that!

larle how's the weaning going? Did carrot puree with baby rice last night. That went down well. Just wondering if you have any kind of routine? I had read somewhere that they shouldn't be replacing milk feeds at this stage but my annabel karmel book suggests otherwise. I'm still offering boob loads, probably too much! And feel like between milk, meals & naps there's not much time left in the day for anything else!

lazzaroo · 09/06/2013 13:02

First tooth has broken through the gum!

GoatBongosAnonymous · 09/06/2013 20:48

Good evening all.

Well, I wouldn't quite call it graduating as we still wake every night, but things are 1000 times better. BG feeds once or twice and goes straight back to sleep; waking for the day is now between 5 and 6. Early but doable for me! So I shall drop in every so often to see how you are all doing but won't be able to be a regular.

I hope improvements are just around the corner for everybody!

larlemucker · 09/06/2013 21:41

Hiya goat

lazza we also have our first tooth!! Dunno if we are replacing milk feeds as I feed on demand.
Our routine is booby for breakfast, usually both, then porridge about half hour after booby.
Booby feed all day then tea between 6 and 7. Tea is 2 cubes of veg and 2 cubes of fruit (ice cube trays slightly smaller than normal ones).
He then usually wants a boob after tea. Then he feeds to sleep. Still feeding about 3 times a night too!!

I'm not planning on introducing a lunch just yet. He usually has a boob just before or just after food.

We tried papaya tonight, glad he liked it considering it cost £1.45!! Won't be having that very often.
The only thing he has struggled with is apple, he finds it a bit tart so I mix it with pear.

Tomorrow we're going to try butternut squash!!

Sleepy dust to all

Hope the colic is better any. I had a night like that when DH was away, it's horrid. He got an earful for going away!!

abi2790 · 09/06/2013 21:58

Evening all.

Woohoo finally bedtime :) Ds had his first sunday roast today! He loved it too. I've found weaning much easier if I just feed him what me and dp eat.

I'm shattered tonight so I'm hoping for a good night's sleep. Spreading lots of sleepy dust!

Oh and why has it been so quiet lately?! I hope it means we have lots of sleeping babies!

Hi Abi & everyone

Sleeps got worse again here, 4+ times between 8-6 & usually far too tired to post.

We're currently on holiday in Cornwall & madam's had a bad evening. I can't decide if she's just hot & bothered or a bit poorly as she's had a couple of big nasty vomits & definitely more crying than normal.

Last night I didn't get her down until midnight so today she's shattered on top of it so been in bed for an hour. Fingers crossed for a better night!

lazzaroo · 10/06/2013 00:47

First wake up at 11.20 but she's still awake! Won't feed to sleep or be rocked. Not grumpy, just awake....so frustrating!

lazzaroo · 10/06/2013 01:03

Finally gone back to sleep on me. I'm desperate for some sleep so going to put her back in cot.....how soon will I regret that!?!

abi2790 · 10/06/2013 10:02

We had a bad night too lazza. He woke 3 times last night when he usually only wakes once. He has just had two teeth come through so I'm not sure if it's that but I thought the worst bit would be them pushing through?

OP posts:
lazzaroo · 10/06/2013 12:02

Was beginning to think I'd been abandoned & everyone was sleeping soundly!!

2nd tooth through here too. I'm not sure if it was teeth as she was not crying at all. Just awake! She didn't settle in cot so was in with me & up for the day at 5.30. I am beyond tired!

abi2790 · 11/06/2013 02:22

First feed here. I wiah I knew what is waking him. Surely it can't be hunger if he has done 10 hours in one go a coiple of times?!

OP posts:
SoYo · 11/06/2013 02:55

Morning. First feed. I was really solidly asleep so struggling a bt o be awake. So tempting o just rest my head back & snooze! Madams still snotty & snorting away & has been very difficult to settle in her Moses basket here. I'm so so looking forward to the day I get more than a few hours consecutive sleep!
