Thanks amey hope your LO goes longer than 1hr so you can get some good sleep till morning

I'm sure baby J knows I've got plans lol he's been sleeping well for the past week and I've had more energy so when I was invited out for tea I said yes. Now he hasn't slept all night really and now I'll be knackered at tea.

MrsNPattz · 15/11/2012 04:25

First feed here since half 10 - wasn't expecting that!! Ewan sent him to sleep then so thanks Ewan (even though you don't play music any more Sad good job we don't use that foot much).

Hope the other babies who had jabs are ok - what can I expect from today? Will he be back to normal?

Yes I have missed a bit of food porn!! I just had a Naked bar (not as naughty as it sounds in case anyone hasn't heard of them lol) but also have some mint Aero choc tempting me!

We are not moving from the sofa today, we have been so busy since Friday that we both need a rest, especially if the jabs might still effect him.

Hope all the teeth, eyes, colds etc are doing better, and I hope our absentees are ok ()

Smallgreenone · 15/11/2012 04:31

We went to buggyfit today/yesterday funch and really enjoyed it. It was great to get out and run about. Baby small did wake up and want feeding though so I missed a bit of the class but it didnt matter. The other babies were quite a bit bigger- more like 6 months plus but I'm going to go again as really enjoyed myself.
I'm going to pop into Bakewell tomorrow to buy some bakewell pudding to post down to my mum and brother. We ran out of time when he visited and didn't get to bakewell even though its only 10mins away so I thought I'd post him one as he loves it. If you've not been to bakewell there is the Bakewell tart you can get in the shops but Bakewell pudding is the traditional version and much yummier i think and for some reason you can only get it locally.
Also on food I saw some mini stollen bites in the supermarket today, I resisted them but I think I may go back in and get some tomorrow- I love stollen!

missingmymarbles · 15/11/2012 04:35

Second feed, so not too bad. 4 1/2 hours since her little concert. Hopefully this will see us til morning. She's sounding really snuffly/chesty. I hope they still do the jabs to get them out of the way. I'll see how she is in the morning. I hope she's not coming down with what DD1 has had/got. She doesn't seem to have a temperature, so ok so far. I was going to get my hair done this morning but I think DD1 may still be off school.
Very sleepy zzzzzzzz............
Going for transfer.........

MummyV18 · 15/11/2012 04:41

Mmmmm.... Now you've mentioned bakewell I really fancy chips lol

We used to love having chips by the river Smile

missingmymarbles · 15/11/2012 04:45

Transfer failure.

Mmmmm I'd love some Bakewell pudding, SmallSmile

NervousAt20 · 15/11/2012 05:15

We didn't even get 2 hours between feeds! muma net needs a crying emotion

Susieloo · 15/11/2012 05:16

Babyloo has just slept from last feed at half eleven till 5!!!! This means two long sleeps rather than one long one followed by 3 hours then 1.5 hours etc. I had to pick him up at five because my boob was going to explode, hoping this dream feed means he will want some more sleep!!

I had a toffee crisp at about 2 and for lunch I had warm chicken livers with mushroom sauce followed by pork with prunes and calvados, it was like a stew so quite heavy but yum. Might make a chilli for the weekend. I am walking up to my friends for a coffee, she had her second baby recently so will be good to catch up with herSmile

Attempting transfer.......

MummyV18 · 15/11/2012 05:33

Hope you have a nice day susie Smile

funchum8am · 15/11/2012 06:15

I have been up ever since 1:53am!! Babyfunch had another massive feed, then was wide awake and cried whenever I transferred her so I fed her again after attempting to settle her. This happened about four times then she threw up magnificently and I had to change nightwear and lose a wet sicky pillow! And she smiled at me like she was SO proud of herself too!

Then she wanted more boob and is now asleep on me. Thank God I managed an early night and a good stretch between wakings earlier, else I would be on my knees by now! As it is I am merely completely exhausted....

Sounds like there are some other dodgy baby sleep antics also going on out there... Is the starlight barking back in action?

MrsNPattz · 15/11/2012 07:55

Second feed here and possibly up for the day! We had a transfer failure after my last post but Ewan worked his magic again.

Buggyfit sounds interesting! What do you do?

missingmymarbles · 15/11/2012 09:00

Excellent work, Babyloo. Have a lovely day, SusieSmile
Have to cancel hair appt as DD1 still off, but much better. Debating Missmarbles jabs as she has a little cold. Was up at 7.30 after smooth second-attempt transfer.

MrsNPattz · 15/11/2012 09:19

Sweet dreams website now has Ewan Snuggly's if anyone is interested Smile

missingmymarbles · 15/11/2012 09:21

Excellent work, Babypattz, too! Second feed at five to eight!
Sorry cant easily name check on phone.

MrsNPattz · 15/11/2012 09:56

Thanks marbles yea was really pleased especially as it was after his injections yesterday Smile

Susieloo · 15/11/2012 18:43

Evening all, babyloo has been trying to go to sleep since 6 but woke after five minutes on first transfer. How did the jabs go marbles?

For the first time in what feels like ten thousand years I do not feel particularly tired!! Last nights epic sleep by both me and babyloo seems to have been just what we both needed, not holding out much hope for tonight in case it was a fluke!! I'm going to make the most of it and read more than two pages before falling asleep, feels like heaven, I've desperately missed reading.

Hope everyone has had good days and I'll be catching up on the thread properly at first feedSmile

Have a good night everyone.

missingmymarbles · 15/11/2012 19:13

Hello.

Doing bed time feed. Missmarbles is soo tired. Her jabs were ok, as they go (they're horrid, aren't they?), thanks for asking. She has cough and is a bit snuffly, but no temp so they did them anyway. THREE! She was very good and still tried to smile at the nurse through her tears. She's been ok since but I think she's teething as well as has one red cheek (pre-injection), and that combined with cough, jabs and barely any sleep today, she's exhausted. I hope she's not over tired and sleeps well.

Oooh enjoy your reading, Susie. I used to love reading, no, I do love reading, but am out of the way of it since having DC's.

See you all at first feed, which I hope will be between 2 and 3Wink ---- Grin

Smicha · 15/11/2012 21:00

Well mini smich has been awake ALL DAY! He is still wideawake and looking round and smiling. Even trying to get him to sleep lying on my chest, which usually works, prompts him to push himself up on his arms and look around. I think he was overstimulated by being taken to my nct class and meeting all those other babies! Nct class was good, very informal and a good place to share experiences as all babies there were born within two weeks of each other.

Who knows if we're going to get any sleep any time soon...

missingmymarbles · 15/11/2012 21:46

EeeeK! I just read on another thread that chocolate is anti-lactogenic!! I have eaten loads of chocolate. It also said something about caffiene, which apart from one cup of full caff-tea on a morning occasionally, the rest, and I don't have many, are de-caff. I have gallons of milk!! If I didn't eat chocolate my boobs might actually burstGrin And on that note, they are particularly leaky today. I think because DD normally troughs like I-don't-know-what, and today she is under the weather.

MrsNPattz · 15/11/2012 22:24

First feed here which is super super early for us!! I put him down at 9, he woke but Ewan sent him back to sleep and I thought that was us - I was just dropping off when he woke up again. Quick nappy change and now a feed and am really hoping its a straight back down jobby! Confused

marbles I eat lots of chocolate Hmm and 1 or 2 cups of weak tea a day!

daisychain76 · 15/11/2012 22:37

Evening, having read these threads l think Santa will be bringing a Ewan to the daisychain household. small l really want a bakewell pudding now (l live in Derbyshire but not near enough Bakewell for a regular fix!). Well, have been up every hour in the night for about a week now (other than when dh gives a bottle of ebm and sits with him on his chest for 2/3 hours a night to give me some sleep). Here?s hoping tonight is a good one Smile

missingmymarbles · 15/11/2012 22:43

Maybe you have to guzzle it in even greater quantities than we are, MrsN, if that's possible Wink

Poor Missmarbles Sad I went up about 10 because there was simpering over the monitor. She was asleep but really unsettled and snuffly. I gave her a dream feed but haven't tried to put her down again. She's been upright in my arms and is more settled, and is now laid horizontal but still in my arms. She's much quieter now. I hope she sleeps well and feels better in the morning. I hope she's ok overnight. I hate when my girls are poorly. DD1 is going back to school tomorrow -yay! Although she wants tomorrow off as wellGrin

funchum8am · 15/11/2012 23:26

missing I have my fingers in my ears and cannot hear anything negative about chocolate for nursing mothers!

DH read today something about alcohol messing with the let down reflex and leading to baby taking less milk, so there goes my regular glass of wine, at least til after the 6 week growth spurt :(

I got 3 hours' sleep from 1 to 4pm today since babyfunch decided that this morning began at 2am....hoping for a much better night tonight!

Goatbongosanonymous · 16/11/2012 00:20

marbles isn't it funny how everything NICE is bad for nursing mothers?... All the things that actually get you through the night in particular. I never in my life, including pregnancy, particularly had a sweet tooth, but boy have I made up for that since Kid's arrival! (I guess I no longer have an excuse to imbibe vast quantities, but will delude myself that sleep deprivation is excuse enough!)

We had one breakthrough today. Kid had a nap for over an hour in his own bed! A friend knitted a beautiful snuggly blanket in bamboo wool and he seems to love it. Hope this is not a fluke, I actually got some stuff done!

Is bakewell almond?

Sounds like some LOs have been deciding as a group not to settle tonight Sad sleepy mice and sandbags of sleepy dust all round!

Ameybee · 16/11/2012 00:47

We've only managed a 2 hour so far! Am shattered! Spent whole afternoon cleaning/tidying with MIL - house looks fab tho n I feel much better.
Tried giving baby b some ebm tonight but no way was he taking it :( he got very stressed and real tears! Part of me just thinks I'd rather feed him and then at 6 months hopefully he will take a cup. I don't have time to regularly express so I can't make a bottle a regular thing anyway. What's everyone else who's bf doing about regularly giving a bottle to get them use to it? I just think I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving him with DH and bottle anyway just incase he didn't take it.
Hmm bakewell pud sounds lush - we live in sheffield small, only 30 mins from bakewell! I've been a pig 2day - eaten loads of DD's bday cake from weekend (a huge crocodile sponge made by lovely SIL) I can't leave it alone!!!
Hope everyone is zzzzz x
