Second feed here after only an hour Confused I'm so tired - thankfully I have some mint Aero to keep me going!!

marbles 7 hours is brilliant - did you sleep for long during that time?

Ameybee · 14/11/2012 04:36

Quick question does everyone wait for a burp before putting down after night feeds? I try but rarely get one and am often too tired to stand rubbing his back & it doesn't seem to bother him.
He's currently feeding half asleep - I know I should change his nappy to wake him but i just don't have the energy! X

Susieloo · 14/11/2012 05:33

Up again after an hour and a half and this has better not be morning-so tired

Susieloo · 14/11/2012 05:34

amey I don't wait for a burp but babyloo isn't very windy and if he does have wins will try and fart it out!!

Evilwater · 14/11/2012 05:41

Still up, but no screaming. Hurray!!

Evil.

missingmymarbles · 14/11/2012 05:47

Not sure what the 4.15 thing was all about, but she went back to sleep at 4.30. I'm now up with puking DD1 Sad

Ameybee · 14/11/2012 05:59

Oh no marbles! I feel for you :( you start to wonder if you'll get any sleep between 2 of them don't u?! I'm praying my DD doesn't catch the bug, not that long since we had one anyway! X

Twobuttonsaway · 14/11/2012 07:04

Marbles hope you feel better soon, I swear by lucozade sport still and plain bold rice once the worst is over.

Amey I wouldn't worry about winding or changing at night unless there's an obvious cue - get back to sleep ASAP!Smile

Goatbongosanonymous · 14/11/2012 07:07

Well that was a fun night!! Kid screamed solid from about 9pm to 5. And then in bits until 7. No idea what that was about, fed, winded, changed, checked temperature... Hope he is not catching DH's tummy bug Sad

I am knackered. Will read posts when my brain is returned to me.

missingmymarbles · 14/11/2012 07:13

Missmarbles up for the day at 6.30. Knackered but not complaining about that as ages done really well. Hope it's not a fluke but the beginning if a habit Smile DH has taken her downstairs just now, as DD1 poorly and in with me. Hehe bonus for me as she's sleeping ATM, albeit restlessly, so I'm going to get some more shut-eye while he's got the LO, until the next puking onslaughtSad

missingmymarbles · 14/11/2012 07:19

Oh Goat that sounds rubbishSad Hope it's not a bug, and hope you get caught up on some rest today.

Amey I don't bother with burps or nappy unless I obviously need to.

MrsNPattz · 14/11/2012 07:41

Another feed here and it will have to be up for the day as we have baby massage zzzzzzzz hubby is coming with us so maybe I can sleep in the corner!!

We also have little man's first injections - aaaahhhh I'm dreading it, it makes me fill up just thinking about it Sad got to be brave got to be brave got to be brave!!

amey I don't change nappy or wait for burp unless he tells me it needs doing or is wide awake.

MrsNPattz · 14/11/2012 07:42

goat poor you - hope you get some sleep today!

NervousAt20 · 14/11/2012 08:39

MummyV18 · 14/11/2012 18:44

Evening all, hope you have all had a good day Smile

DH has been off today and has been with me to baby group Smile it was really nice for him to see what me and baby J get up to. Also in baby group one of those pottery painting companies came & we made a bauble with baby J's hand print on it Smile

Just putting baby J to bed now, fingers crossed he doesn't get up too many times

Susieloo · 14/11/2012 18:47

Hope all the poorly ones are feeling better, I'm so tired I have just got into bed, babyloo has been up since half five and had two 30 minute sleeps all day so he was asleep by twenty past six, funny how the sleep deprivation catches up with you after a few days feel totally exhausted and like I could sleep for a year, have good nights everyone Smile

funchum8am · 14/11/2012 18:54

goat that sounds so awful, hope you have had a better day than night.

susie I am off to bed soon too. DH has been allowed out for beers with my friends' husbands...hoping they will swap tips about parenting and he will learn something! They meet up without us girls every few months for what they call 'ManFest' :)

Good luck for tonight everyone!

MummyV18 · 14/11/2012 19:02

Hope you manage to get some hours of sleep in susie & funch

Bad nights are truly awful.

Evilwater · 14/11/2012 19:33

Had a good day, got LO weighed, and he is now 8,13. Bought some more hungry milk, had lunch at my mums. In the afternoon went for a walk in the woods, the pram and I got covered in mud, and I almost lost my boot!

Off to bed now. See you all later.
Evil

MiniPopsMum2012 · 14/11/2012 19:40

We had a ryvbish

MiniPopsMum2012 · 14/11/2012 19:42

We had a rubbish night, followed by a day of crying & not much sleep - one 25min nap, one half jour, then an hour. So bedtime feed was a struggle, and he's only taken 2/3 of just bottle. Think it's his teeth playing up. SO tired and am very envious of you all already in bed.

Fingers crossed for better nights all round

missingmymarbles · 14/11/2012 19:52

Evening.

Sounds like a nice day, Evil. Hope you are feeling better.

Hope everyone that needed it has managed to get some rest.

I'm just getting rid of the 45 minute intruder (I like that whoever put us onto it Smile), then hopefully that will be us for a good while. Missmarbles sounds a but chesty so hope she isn't coming down with something. It doesn't seem to have bothered her today though. She has her last set of jabs tomorrow too. Need to do a transfer then see to DD1. She's been off again today. I though she was on the mend and dies seem a lot better but spiked a temp about 4ish and took a nose dive. She's exhausted too, so I think I will keep her off again tomorrow.

MrsNPattz · 14/11/2012 19:56

Well little man had his first jabs today - he was braver than me! I cried, he cried but stopped once the injections were finished and had a good feed. He is very sleepy tonight though - just keeps feeding then sleeping. Brave little man. It was awful in the waiting room cause we could just hear the babies crying and it nearly got me going. So glad hubby came with me as he kept me strong until it was little man's turn. Everything else was fine as he had his 8 week check too. I'm so proud of him.

Baby massage was good again thanks nervous, hubby came to that too so it was nice for him to be involved.

I'm thinking I might head to bed soon as hubby has gone to see a friend, little one is asleep on me and I'm knackered after last night.

Who knows what tonight will bring - Calpol at the ready!!

Smicha · 14/11/2012 20:03

Hi all, I've been a bit awol with regard to posting last few nights but have been reading. It turns out that I am suffering from oversupply and fast letdown which is making feed times very stressful as DS screams and screams Sad I had a good chat with a counsellor at the breastfeeding network today and she gave me some great advice and reassurance, and I'm now block feeding on each side for few hours at a time to try and calm the supply down and we are doing as many feeds as possible lying down to stop the fire hydrant squirting in his mouth too violently! It will hopefully calm down with the block feeding but tonight has been particularly stressful and I ended up having to express the feed and give it to him in a bottle. It seems that the evening feed upsets him more than any other.

My dad is currently walking round the house with ds on his shoulder trying to calm him down so we can put him to bed. I'm being very naughty and having a (weak) g&t!

Hoping for a calm night as ds tends to be able to manage the jets of milk at other times!

Sounds like lots of you have been having fun! evil I'm really pleased you've had a better day. My local cinema does a baby screening on a Wednesday so I must get to it sometime. I've got my first nct postnatal class tomorrow so I'm looking forward to that.

Right, off to take over from my dad and pour him a gin!

Smicha · 14/11/2012 20:14

My dad is the baby whisperer!! Grin ds is fast asleep. He has so much patience, might have to get him to move in!
