Susieloo · 19/11/2012 18:44

It did not go well.....

MummyV18 · 19/11/2012 19:42

Oh dear amey sounds like you have had a right day of it. I can't imagine having another child to deal with atm so you are doing amazingly well IMO. Hope dd is well soon.

I'm trying a full formula day today.tge day time has been fine & the last feed before bed went ok, it didn't take long to settle him at all after the bottle but he's now woken up 45 mins later so I know he's not hungry. I just can't settle him, I'm trying so hard to resist the urge to bf him as I know that's not what he needs but don't know how to get him back to sleep Sad

MrsNPattz · 19/11/2012 20:46

How do you view people's profiles (sorry if that sounds stupid!)?

We have a clingy boy today - when he had been put down for nappy changes he cries when he usually likes it! Do your little ones have days like this?

Smallgreenone · 19/11/2012 21:18

I don't have a profile, perhaps that will be something for me to create tonight! Just viewed yours susieloo baby loo is sweet! I thought you'd be blonde too no idea why but I was right Grin

MrsNPattz · 19/11/2012 21:33

On my IPad I could see susie and goats (very cute little ones!) but I can't click on anyone else's names - I have no idea how I got into those two!! And my profile says I have no children with no way to change it Hmm

Ameybee · 19/11/2012 21:39

Well DH has taken over with the vomathon going on downstairs whilst I attempt to get some sleep! I'm feeling so stressed I hope I actually can sleep if I get chance. Every time I hear DS mumur I think he's being sick now!
Mummy v can imagine that's really tough when you are use to bf to settle him, I seem to remember feeling like that with DD when we switched but I think after a shoet while it just settled as I never remember it being a huge big deal. Could u try a dummy? X

HeffalumpsAndWoozles · 19/11/2012 21:53

Oh poor you and DD amey you deserve a break :(, really hope the bug is short lived.

I wonder what everyone looks like too, I have a picture in my head of some of you but no idea what makes me imagine you that way. mrsn You can view profiles by clicking on a posters name if its in blue, them if they have any pictures click on the link on their profile.

susie I thought you'd be blonde too! Babyloo is gorgeous, what a cutie!

So,I reckon mrsn is about 5ft5", has brown wavy mid length hair in a ponytail, glasses and a vintage style thats well presented and quite feminine. Now you're going to tell me you're a 6ft2 rocker with spikey hair and a lip ring aren't you?!

Who's next?!

Ameybee · 19/11/2012 21:58

I attempted some pics but it will only let me put one on?! When I put more than 1 they all change to same pic - so u can see baby bee anyway! X

MrsNPattz · 19/11/2012 22:19

It will only let me put one up too amey

Haha heff you are not far off - I'm 5ft 6in, I had my hair cut last week so it's too short to go up now but it is brown and wavy, I do wear glasses! No lip ring but i do have my nose pierced and lots of earrings and 8 tattoos (very tiny ones - my friend calls them doodles Smile)! I'm really not sure how I picture you guys - I think you are brunette heff and amey blonde?

Grin
MummyV18 · 19/11/2012 22:27

amey hope things have settled down and your all managing to get some sleep

I tried a dummy but I had to hold it in. It kept him quiet for a short while but then he just spat it out & screamed. He continued crying/screaming laid down, in my arms, on my shoulder nothing worked Sad after 2 hours I gave in and put him to the breast - he then fell to sleep in 5 mins. Sad

Smicha · 19/11/2012 23:40

Thanks all for the good luck wishes for the GTT...I'm very head in the sand about it as I'm convinced everything is back to normal so it will be quite a blow if it turns out I have diabetes!

goat it was very strange going back to the antenatal clinic but in a strange way I was hugely proud to be going in there with my LO!

We have had quite a nice evening, ds slept in his cot from 8 til 11 so dh and I had a nice dinner together and a sneaky Wine Just finishing first feed now and hopefully he'll go down for another 3 hours!

In terms of what I look like...a sleepy version of the real me, who disappeared about 8 weeks ago! Smile

Ameybee · 20/11/2012 00:06

Mrsn I am brunette but with a few golden highlights - which I wish id not had now as I have roots and will have no time to get done!!

Well baby bee is awake 2 hours on and sounds really snuffly - no suprise as DD had cold before sickness! He's also started doing this weird cough thing, which sounds to me a bit reflux like, as its mainly when laid down...

I wouldn't worry about bf him to sleep - I'm positive I did this a couple of times with DD (without telling DH) but eventually she use to completly conk out after her bottle so I didn't need to.

Really hoping my little man is ok :( I so don't want him to be poorly too - he's too little!

Haven't heard any comotion from DD's room so I'm hoping she's stopped puking. I would really love it if DH stayed off work Tomo but I daren't mention it as dont like to pressure him.

Hope everyone is zzz ing! X

missingmymarbles · 20/11/2012 00:23

Hi all. So much for my early nightHmm but DH is taking DD to school in the morning. Missmarbles went down at 7 but had vomited twice prior to that virtually full feedsSad due to coughing rather than vomiting, iyswim. She then vomited again at 7.50 without really waking up, so woke up hungry at 10ish. Hopefully, that's hersrytled now for a good stint.

Sorry the lurgy has got your household, Amey. Hope it doesn't last long.

Our babies are working together again, SusieGrin

Hi everyone else. Can hardly keep my eyes open nor I have laid down. I have short black hair with a few bits of grey in the front that I can barely keep up with the roots if I dye it. I'm quite tall, and am a lot fatter than I normally am, and have dark circles under my eyes - a real treat, I amHmmGrin

Ameybee · 20/11/2012 00:28

Hmm he's doing it Everytime I lay him down now, coughing then screaming - it appears reflux like to me except no vomiting but I think if I left him he would vomit, upright he's fine.
Tonight is turning into a nightmare :( only thing I can think to do is raise the head of the cot so he's on a slant. Might have to get DH to help...

Goatbongosanonymous · 20/11/2012 00:51

amey so sorry to hear about your horrible day. Hope everyone (including you!) is well on the way to recovery.

vicky Kid is probably a funny one, being a master of reverse psychology, but he does feed to sleep on the bottle now - perhaps just a matter of getting used to it. Have you tried holding LO in bf pose with bottle against breast?

We just had the first ever evening in which I put Kd down to sleep then returned downstairs to spend an uninterrupted hour or so with DH. It was lovely! and now having first feed!

As for what I look like: inherited the family gene that dictated that I would go grey in early 20s so have always dyed hair back to auburn. However currently have roots worthy of a rubber tree. Am tallish and now always wear contact lenses, thanks to Kid semi-destroying glasses. Check to bags under eyes, also somewhat heavier than usual, and often to be found in a fetching outfit of knickers and DH's T-shirt... Blush

Susieloo · 20/11/2012 01:27

Can't keep my eyes open, 2nd feed, eyes stinging, zzzzzzzzzz

Ameybee · 20/11/2012 01:36

I want to cry :( I'm getting about an hours sleep at a time, can tell he's not well bless him.
How's everyone else doing with babies who have colds? X

MrsNPattz · 20/11/2012 02:28

First feed here - early for us but he went down early. He is now wide awake Hmm

amey oh well I was completely wrong Grin hope little ones get better soon!

I am 2 stone heavier but I lost loooaaaaads of weight for my wedding so still not overweight and I don't really want to get back down to that - to much like hard work!!

funchum8am · 20/11/2012 02:33

Having a funny one here - babyfunch was conked out by 5.45pm so DH put her to bed early (still with bib on, and with no blankets, as I discovered when I came to bed....). She then slept til gone midnight, woke to feed and went back to sleep. Woke after half an hour and for the first time I managed to settle her just by patting her tummy and shushing, not feeding her, which is progress. Just fed her again now too. I think she has reflux as she keeps coughing when she is quite full, and is often sick. However if I feed her lying down and don't get her upright to burp but just put her back in her cot she isn't sick, so am not doing the half hour upright thing (and thus getting more sleep!)

amey your day sounds utterly horrific and you are building some serious karma there - you are due some lovely times ahead! I hope DD feels better soon.

No advice re babies with colds I'm afraid - babyfunch has only ever had one and I didn't cope very well! Just stayed awake as she was struggling to breathe through the snit and comforted her when it distressed her.

Re how I look...Er, dark brown dead straight mad overgrown haystack stylee hair just past shoulder length, glasses, 5 foot 5, size 18 (normally a 14 to 16) and bags under my eyes too!

Hope there is some sleeping going on out there :)

Smallgreenone · 20/11/2012 03:21

I can't do my profile on my phone, grrrrrr. I'm 5'4'' dark straight hair, father Chinese so look a bit foreign always fun when people try to guess sometimes I pretend I'm from Peru as its much more fun, used to be 8.5 stone now just under 9 but am working on it!!!
Baby small was in bed for 7 up at 9,11 and now so not doing too badly considering although now I've written that expect it will all go pear shaped!

Goatbongosanonymous · 20/11/2012 03:52

Second feed of night. Do I dare hope that this is the start of things to come?...

Or should I just whistle nonchalantly and pretend I haven't noticed?

daisychain76 · 20/11/2012 04:25

Hello everyone. Been up 2 and a half hours and too tired to namecheck (huge admiration for people who do it so well at this time) but hope the rest of the nigght is gooddfor everyone.

Honkyponk · 20/11/2012 04:25

I am amazed this is our first feed since half eight. . . Breaking lifetime record of continuous baby sleep. There have been some cracking grunts and abdominal squeezes going on from baby so I'm not sure what I'm going to find inside the grobag at nappy change. Had first mums bums and tums session today managing not to empty the bladder with my own abdominal squeezes which went fairly well. Sympathies to everyone else with weight loss challenges ahead. I'm just wondering whether it would be unacceptable to creep downstairs after feeding to pick the top burnt layer off the Christmas cake?! It's got to come off anyway before the marzipan goes on!

Smallgreenone · 20/11/2012 04:26

I was right it did go wrong- up again!
goat I'd whistle if I were you otherwise it will all change!

missingmymarbles · 20/11/2012 05:15

Another crappy night. She woke just as I posted last time and we were up 2 til 4. She was asleep on me then had transfer failure so brought her in here, where we had singing til she's just conked out now. I'm knackeredSad
Agree well done to midnight name checkers. I'm truly crap at it. Mist tones u can barely focus on screen and then remembering is varny out if the question.
