Hello!
Carrying on are good work from the first thread , how do we keep are selfs awake? By chatting to each other sleepy heads!

OP posts:
funchum8am · 14/10/2012 02:58

I had a bad afternoon but then babyfunch slept 9.30 to nearly 2am. This was great for me sleepwise but now I'm worried she will get dehydrated going that long. I have fed her but she has thrown up what looks like most if the feed, and is making lots of nappy noise so must be empty. She is sleepy but cries when I put her down, but falls asleep on the boob if I feed her! Aaargh!

Think I am going to let her sleep on ne for a bit.

sarita you have done brilliantly to feed your baby only breast milk for a whole 7 months ans congratulations on success with the bottle! Keep us posted.

Re weight loss I have got to goal with weightwatchers before (more than once cos I always lapse) and will do it again I'd exercise and BFing doesn't work.

BabylonPI · 14/10/2012 03:00

I haven't had sleepy mice either Sad

I've slept for about 40 mins in two stints since 9.30pm.

DNephew is colicky so it takes a while to settle him after a feed - and I'm so awake I've just been and unloaded the dishwasher, sterilised DNephews bottles for morning, fed him, changed him and now feeding DS - crikey people really do this day in day out with twins??

I am enjoying having a tiny baby in the house again though Blush Grin

Susieloo · 14/10/2012 03:14

3rd feed of the night!!!!! A whole hour and twenty mins since the last. I've just zipped him into his grobag for the first time in case he's waking through cold, he's so tired because he's been awake all day so he desperately needs some sleep and so do I!! Sounds like we are all having rough nights.

BabylonPI · 14/10/2012 03:16

Oh SusieLoo Sad

It is quite chilly tonight actually. I think I've decided to just stay awake now - I'll sleep when DH gets back tomorrow!!

Smallgreenone · 14/10/2012 03:26

Yes it's chilly here too. DH is going to have to have this little monster tomorrow cold or no cold I can't do this I am so so tired. Wish there was some sort of magic trick you could do to make them sleep longer at night!

Susieloo · 14/10/2012 03:26

How's your tummy babylon?

Babyloo is now not settling even with his heartbeat noise on, it can't be good for a 3 month old baby to be awake this much in a 24 hour period surely. It's not good for his mother to be awake this much in a 24 hour periodGrin

BabylonPI · 14/10/2012 03:29

Tummy seems ok now thank you - just a rogue tummy ache I think Hmm

I shall blame it on the tiredness!!! Grin

Susieloo · 14/10/2012 03:29

Agree small I wish you could hypnotise them!!

My dp is going to have to do something tomorrow so I can try and have a nap or he's going to have to get up with him on Monday morning and do the half five till seven shift, feel bleugh. Think it's just starting to rain here.

Smallgreenone · 14/10/2012 03:36

Looks like he has drifted off now I just need to get him in his basket. Ewan failed me at my last attempt Sad.
See you all again at 5 or in 10 minutes if he wakes up!

Goatbongosanonymous · 14/10/2012 03:43

More starlight barking by the looks of things, everyone having a broken night.

Here's hoping for a veritable infestation of sleepy mice between now and morning...

funchum8am · 14/10/2012 04:05

I'm up again too, babyfunch realised she was on empty after half an hour in her basket. Good job though, my right boob has leaked everywhere! Need to buy a sleep bra!

Saritabean · 14/10/2012 04:13

Here again, here goes 3rd bottle....!!!

Emmiedarling · 14/10/2012 04:13

I wonder if I might join u all. My little boy is 2 weeks old and is feeding every 2-3 hours. So tired already and in only 2 weeks in!

Goatbongosanonymous · 14/10/2012 04:29

Welcome emmie it's hard in the beginning isn't it? Keep going though, you're doing great!

And we have biscuits and hot choc on this thread... Smile

Hope your tummy is feeling better babylon

Susieloo · 14/10/2012 04:30

Hello emmieSmile

We are still awake and have been since 1.40 ish really, no idea what's going on with himSad

IShallCallYouSquishy · 14/10/2012 04:33

Hi all and congratulations on your new baby emmie!

We have been going on and off for round 2 for an hour now. I'm knackered. And to top it off when I had a quick loo break when I thought she had fallen asleep (ha!) I smashed my hand into the door handle and it now hurts like hell Angry

Emmiedarling · 14/10/2012 04:36

Yes please to hot choc & biscuits. That'd be lovely thank you!!

I'm just not used to being up and down, up and down. I'm living on my own and sometimes wish there was someone else to moan too/get to make tea/sing baba to sleep/change a nappy pr two...or in reality do your dp's not do that?!?

What on earth is a Ewan? Sorry I haven't been back that many pages...I did an amazon search - is it a sheep?! Do I need one?!

MrsNPattz · 14/10/2012 04:39

Hi guys, feeding again here - think we got about 2-3 hours since the last feed. Sorry everyone is having a tough time Sad

babylon is that persevering by trying it every night, or putting him back on all night until he works lol

sarita glad things have gone well for you bottle wise Smile

Grin
MrsNPattz · 14/10/2012 04:39

Welcome Emmie Smile

IShallCallYouSquishy · 14/10/2012 04:42

Hmmm, arms have flopped and sucking has become practically non-existent, do I brave the dreaded delicate art of the cot transfer?!

Who's got the biscuits? Could really do with some as my bottle of squash just isn't really doing it for me at the moment!

Goatbongosanonymous · 14/10/2012 04:47

I have heard longstanding rumours about these peanut butter kitkats but have never seen them. Are they a mirage really?...

Emmie Ewan is indeed a sheep, and we are all hoping fir sleep miracles after babylon's enthusiastic endorsement!

Kid is wide awake and squawking despite being newly fed. I shall be indulging my very sad angry birds addiction.

MrsNPattz · 14/10/2012 04:48

They do exist and are a thing of beauty Grin however I just ate an apple instead - very proud Grin

Goatbongosanonymous · 14/10/2012 04:49

Squishy ouch about your head Sad

Will a Fox's selection box meet requirements?

HorridHeffalumpsWickedWoozles · 14/10/2012 04:49

Hi emmie good to see you :) Ewan the dream sheep is Babylon's recommendation, mine hasn't arrived yet but we seem to have bought a heard if them between us on this thread, and by the sounds of it he is pretty good!

After a shaky start baby lump was v good to me, I think the sleepy mice must have been to see us as I came up to bed with her about 1am and we're only just finishing her first feed since then Grin I'm wondering if its anything to do with where she's sleeping, tonight Ive put her in the Phil & teds cocoon which she always sleeps well in during the day and its worked! Lets see now though I've got to put her back down, will I be lucky twice?!

Susieloo · 14/10/2012 04:50

Peanut butter kit kats are amazingGrinGrin anything with peanut butter and chocolate in is amazing, going to sleep now dreaming of reeses pieces, night night Smile
