Hi all

I'm being admitted to hospital for a few weeks and was looking for some books to take with me.

Nothing sad. I like stuff like "this is going to hurt" or a guilty pleasure something naughty and dramatic.

Any recommendations please x

The Bean Trees and Pigs in Heaven by Barbara Kingsolver.

I loved American Dirt but did find it a bit sad myself.

Oh I loved these so, so much. Feel bereft now I’ve finished them!

Yeah I didn't realise they'd dramatised it! Not worth the time?

It’s had mixed reviews, but she’s nothing like Rhiannon and is just a wet mess with homicidal impulses
