chulita and dogwalker it is a bit of a relief to read it's all normal and not in our heads isn't it!

My turn for a whinge tonight (again! sorry girls). Just feel really tearful and fed-up. Reflexology was lovely and relaxing but don't feel as if it did any good in terms of kick-starting anything. Then ds came home exhausted, complaining of tummy-ache and proceeded to tantrum through dinner and bedtime. dh getting more and more wound-up but both of us trying to remain calm, especially in front of my mum (who would never judge us but would never interfere with how we were dealing with ds). All ended in tears (mine) and I'm now thoroughly fed-up .

dh had a bit of a dig about me finishing work too early and how I've only myself to blame for now being bored and fed-up. Yeah, thanks for that sweetheart...really helpful

liahgen66 · 22/07/2010 20:43

hi ladies,

Still lurk from time to time,

welcome to baby cory and james congratulations ladies.

Come on Star, keep going, not long now, it'll all be worth it when you hold your little babies in your arms.

Good luck aussie look forward to reading your birth story soon.

caz I am sitting here in tears reading your words, my heart goes out to you and your dh, it's a long long road but one day you'll smile again, and mean it. Little belle will always be your first born child and your beloved daughter and even though her time here was short, it was precious. Be gentle on yourselves and don't rush things, sands is a wonderful place and little by little you'll find yourself going there less. belles journey sounds like a lovely day. Thinking of you.

Just to update you all. I am 5wks 2 days pregnant and due 15th March, praying for a sticky this time and hoping to get an early scan in couple weeks.

Good luck everyone. Babies arriving left right and centre now. x

bouncingblueberries · 22/07/2010 21:11

Congratulations liahgen! Spring babies are lovely (my ds was a spring babe - born in early April).

Chulita · 22/07/2010 21:47

Congratulations liahgen! Fingers crossed for you

Went for a meal with DH but could only eat half cos of full on contractions. They've sort of petered out now but I got really narky when I was feeding DD. Mum's all excited cos she thinks it's kicking off but I had this 10 days ago (apart from the hormonal narkiness) so I reckon I'll be back on tomorrow morning!

Night night all!

How exciting Chulita! Good luck if it does kick off.

Homebirth team are on call for me from tomorrow at 9am

Star, meant to post earlier, I got thoroughly fed up at the end with the DTs too - remember you are more than a full-term size now and many of us are getting fed up at 8m PG! It is so hard to sleep and all the little pregnancy niggles are amplified. I was desperate to get the little buggers out by 36wks. I couldn't sleep and it was just dreadful. Have you tried using relaxation techniques like slow breathing to help you sleep? Take a deep breath in and count slowly to 4, then breathe out down into your body for a quick 8 counts, and let your body relax.

Chulita · 23/07/2010 04:29

I've been contracting since 2am, some of them are really painful. Going to time them and see if anything gets regular - want to wake DH up for some company cos some of these are eye-watering!
Where's weehector when I need her?

So exciting chulita! Good luck and send some labour vibes this way when you're finished please

vix206 · 23/07/2010 05:46

Rooting for you Chulita! Have you woken your dh up yet?

weehector · 23/07/2010 05:48

chulita I'm here! Just been reading this morning.

I think this is it for you, mrs and it is your turn. So.... ' Chuuulita Come on down!'.

Will be cheering you on from Weehectorland today as I'm sure most of the sisterhood will be. I'm such a stats freak, I love ticking everyone off the list by due date. I could probably tell you on any given date, who on this list is due or overdue. Good Luck!

pamplem0usse · 23/07/2010 06:04

Chulita good luck lovely!!!! xxxxx

girlsyearapart · 23/07/2010 07:40

Good luck chulita
Looking forward to hearing your news!

Congratulations liaghen hoping this one will stick.

star I have also been 'shouty mummy', just getting so hard to do anything with them I get really irritated when my efforts are met with whinging/constant asking for the next thing..

Had growth scan yesterday- baby weighs approx 8lb3 and will put on another 1lb at least by 40wks..Also apparently have a lot of water so chances of waters breaking before 40wks are higher. Fine by me!

12 days to go..

loobyt · 23/07/2010 08:08

Good luck chulita!

Congratulations liaghen!

My staircase finally arrives today so I will be saying good bye to the ladder and at nearly 36 weeks I think it's about time!

Looking forward to hearing some baby news later on today!

babyducky · 23/07/2010 08:28

Congrats liahgen xx

Good luck chulita!!!!!!! X

LittleMissSnowShine · 23/07/2010 09:21

Good luck chulita!! Exciting

Lovely of CazEm to post as well, I've been finding it so hard to know what to do and what to say to my friend whose baby was stillborn a couple of months ago, so it's really great to get an insight into how she must be feeling through Caz's story...

Had our first parentcraft class last night - two hours! First hour was fine, pretty useful etc. Second hour my eyes were closing, room was roasting hot and it was all about SPD, carpal tunnel etc, which (TOUCH WOOD!) I haven't had any problems with... Also got a scan and LO is def not breech any more, and is moving out of posterior and head is starting to engage - woo hoo!!!

I've had tinnitus for about a week tho! Has anyone else had this? I've never really had it before and it's only in one ear but it's driving me crazy Read somewhere that it can be a sign of low iron levels so started taking iron tablets yesterday just to be on the safe side. But it's a pain!!

Dibbydab · 23/07/2010 09:44

Liahgen that's wonderful news - keeping everything crossed for you.

Chulita hope things are moving along for you and your little one puts in an appearance shortly.

Bouncing pass the Kleenex when you're done lovey - I had a good sob last night as well, must be something in the air. DH also can't understand why I finished work 4 weeks before due date, but I just wanted some "me time" (although I am getting a little bit of cabin fever now on rainy days...) I don't even have another little 'un to look after just the dog!

Loobyt still shinnying up a ladder at 36 weeks - respect!

Pample hope you're feeling a bit more like yourself today now you're back at home - take it easy - have you decided on whether to find out sex on Tuesday? We had a 37 week scan and held our nerve so we still don't know, though it was very tempting at that late stage when I was feeling v. fat and fed up!

Only 10 days to go, not that's I'm counting!

xx

marzipananimal · 23/07/2010 09:53

morning all. Hope everything's going well chulita. of all you nearly due people!

I had a hideous dream last night. It started off lovely - I had a baby girl and me and DH took her home and were looking after her. She slept through the nights and rarely cried. However, the first day DH went back to work and i was looking after her alone, I dozed off briefly while feeding her and she vanished . I was desperately rushing round everywhere looking under things only to wake up practically hyperventillating. Don't think I've ever been so relieved a dream wasn't real as that moment i woke up!

Alicetheinvisible · 23/07/2010 11:52

Liahgen fingers crossed for you

Marzi DD is 2.8yrs now and i still have nightmares where she disappears or i am out and realise that i have left her at home and can't run home quick enough. Really horrible. When she was a baby (it got better as she got older) i would have visions of dropping her down the stairs, or spilling hot drinks on her, or her drowning while i was bathing her, or having a car accident. I think it was just my worry that she was so small and precious and clumsy me was the one responsible for her, scared the life out of me. Strangly though, i am now possibly the most laid back parent i know, could all change with two though.....

Bit of sympathy please..... Last night i caught my second smallest toe on the corner of the bath, it is black and so sore today, and no one is giving me any sympathy.

marzipananimal · 23/07/2010 12:33

ouch! poor you alice. That definitely deserves lots of sympathy. Stubbing your toe can be unbelievably painful.
Glad to know I'm not the only one with dreams like that, hopefully I'll be a laid back parent too

Alicetheinvisible · 23/07/2010 12:36

Thank you Marzi much appreciated

Alicetheinvisible · 23/07/2010 12:36

Oh, and did i mention i am going to see Razorlight this evening?

vitapulchra · 23/07/2010 12:39

Congratulations, Liaghen! That's wonderful--hope all goes well for you.

Chulita Good luck! Thinking of you and hope to hear the happy news soon!

ElusiveMoose · 23/07/2010 14:18

That's wonderful news, Liahgen. Do pop on now and then to keep us posted.

Thank you so much for posting, CazEm. You are never far from our thoughts.

Alice, big ouch. Toes are nasty. I broke my little one a couple of years ago and it didn't stop hurting for six months . I sympathise.

Marzi dreams like that are extremely common - I'd be surprised if you didn't have them occasionally. And not just dreams - you need to watch out for the can't-sleep-so-lie-awake-worrying-about-the-worst-that-can-happen nights as well. When DS was tiny I once spent a totally sleepless night worrying about what would happen if he wanted a motorbike at 17, FFS .

All good here. DH is now on holiday for the next 6 weeks - woohoo! The car is mended (albeit at vast cost), and KwikFit have refunded our money - double woohoo!! The messy plasterers have finished for now, and the old boiler has been removed - triple woohoo!!! And it's now the weekend, so I have two blissful builder-free days .

marzipananimal · 23/07/2010 14:57

yay that's good elusive!

I've just been bra shopping and come away pleased but rather confused. Pleased because I got a pack of 2 nursing bras for £7.50 in the debenhams sale but confused about my size. Pre-preg I was a 32 C ish, then quite early on in pregnancy I got measured and bought 34 DD (in M&S). I got measured in debenhams today and the ones I bought are a 36 C . This is strange as I'm still filling out my M&S DD cups! Anyway, for £7.50 for 2 I can't complain even if they don't do my ego much good!

soontobefatnat · 23/07/2010 16:05

Marzipan I'm a weird size in M&S bras myself - and I seem to need another bloody bra upgrade only a few weeks on. Tempted to hold on another fortnight until I'm 37 weeks... But will my boobs get bigger between then and the first few days after birth? Any clever (i.e. stingy) way to account for this?

Congrats Liahgen - lovely news!

Got my fingers crossed for you Chulita!

Just left work for the last time until 30th Aug 2011. Whoop de whoop!!!

bouncingblueberries · 23/07/2010 19:04

Wonder if any babies have been born yet? Thinking of you both aussie and chulita!
