Chulita · 19/07/2010 19:09

Congratulations emster though cos you're due after me! Hope you get on soon to let us know the details

Still just BH all day for me. alice I've been feeling nauseous too, and I permanently feel like I've got the squits (sorry!) but I haven't...really messed up guts! Not a sign of anything though. I must remember that DD was 2 weeks late and just be more patient...argh!

OP posts:
chickieno1 · 19/07/2010 19:27

Congratulations Emster! Jealous and terrified at the same time . Have 5 weeks til my due date and sooooooo much to do before babba arrives!

Hope everyone else is okay and trying to say sane. Will chat more when on mat leave in 2 weeks and will def bring cake then

neenz · 19/07/2010 19:55

Star that really sucks. 39wks seems ott cos they are considered full term at 37 so why wait and run risk of you going into labour naturally and needing emcs? My SIL is pg with twins and in same boat as you (one breech one transverse) and her consultant has given her date for CS at 37wks. Ask for a second opinon, go and see another consultant (can you see the head of obstetrics?). You are not being selfish wanting them to come at 37/38wks so your DD can start school ffs.

Anyone else feel like they could murder someone ? I have been feeling pre-menstrual the last few days - I got really annoyed at DH cos he cut the kids' toast wrong at the weekend and then this morning too when his alarm went off at 6.30am and he didn't get up [grrr]. It really annoys me cos it wakes me and I can't doze off again like he can! The DTs didn't wake till 8.10am either

neenz · 19/07/2010 19:56

I am hoping said PMS symptoms mean my hormones are gearing up for labour!

starshaker · 19/07/2010 20:04

neenz if the PMS means that then i may be joining you lol. Ive been having tightnings all day think it might be because im stressed out and pissed off

bouncingblueberries · 19/07/2010 20:20

I'll join you in the severe PMS symptoms girls! Felt murderous most of last week and only just starting to feel a bit more balanced today...poor dh and ds!

CherryPie3 · 19/07/2010 20:25

Evening girls

Nothing much to report here, mw (supposedly) coming tomorrow to weigh Corey as he had lost 8% of his birthweight after a week but he's a greedy little milk monster and on Thursday he was 8lbs 0.5oz - so he's not doing bad for gaining it all back again . Lovely to know that it's because of me and breastfeedin that he's even surviving - very surreal!!
When I say she's supposedly coming I mean someone said I'd get a visit at when Corey was 5days but no-one turned up - I went to the drop-in clinic 2days later to get him weighed and they said if I hadn't gone in they wouldn't have even known I'd delivered!! It was a student mw that had scheduled the 5day visit and she hadn't let anyone know about it!! So Corey had his guthrie test done later that it should have been . I'd string the bloody student up if I saw her again I tell you.
It's gonna chuck it down tomorrow too, and I don't have a raincover yet - boo!

Sorry so many of you aren't feeling your best lately and also to those having rubbish days, it will be better soon! The ball is rolling now so prepare for a flurry of babies joining us shortly

Star Sorry your consultant wasn't very helpful . Would it make any difference to talk to your mw about your dd's school dates?

Chulita the squits was one of my pre-labour symptoms . The race is between you and Blueberries . Keep it fair ladies keep it fair.

MrsZaC Hope the rib pains ease up for you!

kcoffin Good luck at bingo!!!! Hope the period pains do eventually develop into something for you tho - after you win the jackpot of course

Aussie Lovely to hear from you - I was starting to think you may have popped!! Hope you're enjoying your well deserved maternity leave

Dibby at your dh's 'contraption' - did it work?

Hows this list Vix? This way we're not having to scroll up or down to find out peoples due dates.

Looby I can't find you on the list to update it with your little girl, could you post your stats please (I've popped you at the bottom for the time being so I can do a baby count)

Congratulations Emster
Im soo pleased that someone has graduated this weekend, i've been checking as often as possible just in case.

Excellent list work Cherry Im so impressed you are managing to organise us lot as well as take care of your new addition!

I had a terrible nights sleep last night. Woke up at 3am and was unable to get back off to sleep. Then the smoke alarm decided to go off at around 5 (no fire - just being a nuisance) so then i definately wasnt going to go back to sleep. I gave up at 5:30 and went downstairs and had my breakfast.
Lets hope tonite is a bit better!

CherryPie3 · 19/07/2010 21:35

Quick check on FB and Emster is home and well with baby James

vix206 · 19/07/2010 21:37

Yay thanks Cherry Pie!!

Add me to the PMS list, been so grouchy these past few days but I put it down to severe sleep deprivation and having to carry on working full time.

CherryPie3 · 19/07/2010 21:38

and fingers crossed for a better nights sleep for you Tah!!

babyducky · 19/07/2010 21:48

Aw just seen that too cherrypie, he is so cute

I want my baby now!!!

I'm so grumpy too!

Loads more crampy pains & back ache again tonight aswell.

Alicetheinvisible · 19/07/2010 23:23

Looks like i am on nightwatch this evening. Combination of a sore back, too hot and chinese fucking water torture does not make for a good nights sleep.

When we had the plumbing for the bathroom done, the system was flushed out and apparently if a washer has gone, this can make the overflow, constantly overflow, so have got water running down the outside of my house trickle drip, trickle drip

weehector · 20/07/2010 00:34

Woohoo emster fantastic news, congratulations. And finally, a virtual graduate buddy for cherry. Bet it's loads of fun for you listening to us whining our way through our last couple of weeks when you've got Corey to look after!

Poor you, elusive. A new boiler is up there with a funeral plan in my book, completely different if you were spending it on stuff for the baby or a holiday. It must seem never ending at the moment but hopefully the car will be fixed, your conversion work will be completed and all the hassle will magically disappear leaving you with a shiny new suite of rooms & a shiny new baby.

I'll be night shift tonight as well I think - just made & devoured a bowl of really spicy noodles, overdid the chilli oil, garlic & togorashi so expecting the heartburn to be spectacular soon. So sick of it, it disappears for a few days, I think I'm finally free then it comes back again for days on end. alice & anyone else...see you for a cup of tea & a whinge around 4ish?

Have started pre-labour grooming here - had my hair done on Friday (yay, no more grey) & managed to shave 70% of legs & give myself a bit of a slapdash pedi (OPI Samoan Sand so fairly neutral & they might not notice if I need surgery..). DH is stalling at the major task in hand which is tackling my bikini line. Can't say I blame him to be honest.

Don't think tonight is the night here - absolutely nothing since 3 big wallopers from 10am on Sunday..my sister says she had a similar burst to the two lots i've had exactly a week before going into real labour. DH finishes his week on tomorrow so this weekend would suit me great.

vix206 · 20/07/2010 00:59

Hi girls another sleepless night for me too too hot, acid reflux and basically just wide-awake as usual. It wouldn't be so bad if I could nap in the day but can't as I'm working. Boo hoo!

Dh sound asleep next to me, it's lonely when you can't sleep isn't it?

weehector · 20/07/2010 05:37

vix it's shit, innit? I do count my blessings that if sleep does come during the day I can have a nap. Hang in there

Alicetheinvisible · 20/07/2010 08:01

Morning.

I am feeling murderous this morning. The trickle of water down the outside of the house ended up coming through our kitchen roof at midnight, so i have been up every 2hrs to turn the tap on to ease off the water pressure despite the water being turned off So i have no water, no flushable loo, can't use the washing machine or the dishwasher and i have told DH that if the plumber doesn't come out to fix it this morning i am off to my grandmas!

I have also got a huge fly buzzing around which is going to get the laptop thrown at it if it doesn't fuck off!

isheisnthe · 20/07/2010 08:29

morning all - terrible nights sleep here too - ds1&2 are on holiday with their dad - 1st one abroad with him since we split up so i am anxious about that I think which doesn't help - when i did sleep all i did was dream about them :-(

I also can not breath - its driving me mad...

bouncingblueberries · 20/07/2010 08:46

Oh alice honey - think you need to find yourself a punch bag and get rid of all that frustration! Sounds terrible! Not having a flushing loo really is the pits. I hated it when we were having our bathroom done Much, much, much sympathy - the only thing that will help is copious amounts of chocolate. Hope your day improves.

Well, still pregnant here. No signs of labour and I've had ENOUGH! I know I'm not officially due til next week but I DON"T WANT TO GO ANY LONGER! Do you hear me baby? Enough is enough.

Sorry - whinge over. Hope everyone has a nice day. MrsZAc Is it your last day at work today? Hurrah if it is!

Alicetheinvisible · 20/07/2010 09:07

Blueberries plumber coming late morning, may have one flush in the loo (can be slightly thankful i am a bit bunged up atm, unlike last week - that would have been a nightmare!) Eating a pack of chocolate biscuits

I am really grumpy about it because i was just starting to get organised in the house after having some work done.

Well, after telling baby he can come from monday, have had to change my mind. Kitchen work is starting monday and the girl who is going to help with the horses is at Pony Club all next week, so from about friday next week will be ok. Think i will go into labour on my due date though..

loobyt · 20/07/2010 09:30

Just a quickie - isn't baby James lovely! , well done and congratulations Emily!

Cherry I named changed to Chrunchienutter and then for some reason decided to change it back so I am on the list but under a different name!

LittleMissSnowShine · 20/07/2010 09:37

Morning everyone!!

Sympathy to all PMS ladies - I'm having chronic moodswings as well, excited, cheerful, moody, angry, tearful all within an hour. It's like being a teenager again, I can't cope!!

Was v excited LO is no longer in breech and pleased that head is beginning to engage but starting to get increasingly nervous that (a) GP thinks it'll be here a few weeks sooner than expected and (b) it's still posterior/back to back. Pictures terrify me - how is that head supposed to fit through that gap at that angle!!!

Supposed to be working from home today but think I'm going to do bugger all until lunch lol

Hope everyone has a good day

cazzybabs · 20/07/2010 09:43

Our roofers seem to have buggered off ... 2 days now ..I hope they finish before the baby comes - however it is nice and quiet !

I need to ask the midwife to come and take my bp again... am supposed to have it taken twice a week and now and nearly 2 weeks without it being done as I have lost the will!! I just can't be bothered... I want to just stay at home with my girls until the baby comes ... can't be doing with all this medical people!

pamplem0usse · 20/07/2010 11:26

LittleMiss how dare your baby be starting to engage when you're not due till after me ;)

Pleased (sorry ladies... you know what I mean) to hear I'm not the only one ending up in floods of tears over nothing.

Alice and Elusive hope your home renovationy things start going a bit more smoothly, and that your LO's arrive perfectly coordinated with when the work is finished/less disruptive (same for you cazzy!)! I'll have a word with them if you like?!

Am now v jealous that I'm not facebook friends with Emster and therefore cannot see her baby piccies!

vix any chance you could set up a little blow up mattress in your office?! Sorry probably not very helpful... hope the reflux eases off soon and surely it's got to be cooling down!

Just taking Caz and Belle's parcel to the post office.... I'll try and upload some piccies of the various bits and bobs onto my profile later, assuming I can work out how!

Pamplemousse I have a futon here but we're just too busy for me to be able to get any rest Plus the doorbell and phone never stops so there's no time or opportunity to rest. I'm starting to feel really stressed about it all now, not sure what to do to be honest.
