Congrats Emster and hello everyone else!! I'd fallen off the thread there for a couple of days...

Anyway, it seems like breech baby has finally turned!! Had appt with GP this morning because the MW wanted me to go and see him and get his opinion, and he had a good feel around, listened to heartbeat etc. So he thinks LO is no longer breech and head has started to engage! He also thinks that I'm measuring at least a week and probably 2 weeks ahead, so instead on having 5/6 weeks to go I might only have 3/4!!

Have to go back and see him again a week today and see what's going on!

So all the stuff I'd been planning to do in a couple of weeks time, I'm frantically trying to do today - ordering heating oil, rearranging parentcraft classes, hiring a TENs machine etc. And we're picking up our new (well, second hand new lol) car tonight - cheerio 3 door fiesta, hello family car!

Spoke to DH on phone half an hour ago, tho, and he was moaning because our first parentcraft class (we only have two to go to btw, so it's hardly a big deal!) is now going to be this Thurs and he wants to go to a gig starting at half 8 and the class doesn't finish til 9. I got really annoyed because we're clueless first timers who really need to the classes and I spent a good 15 mins on phone to hospital trying to get them to change our classes and that's all he could think off to say . He'd better come home feeling penitent!!!

Hope everyone else is doing well? Not long to go now!!

Arggh....
Have been sick three times today already. Can't work out if it's a bug or a continuation of my evil morning sickness (hoping not the later, I've still 5 weeks to go).....

Congrats Emster so exciting!!! And terrifying! I've booked for a moxibustion session this Saturday to turn this breech baby so I'll let you know if it's any good. £38 for the session and I get herbs to burn at home too?

Start maternity leave on Friday and am looking forward to it but hope LO isn't too late as I might go off my head being at home for 5 weeks if it goes 14 days over - like many of you, backache and SPD rendering me not v mobile. SO I've joined Love Film - any recommnedations for my movie list? Shutter Island is on there - what else have you ladies seen lately?

Looks like we're in for a bumper crop of boys eh!

It's ok, found her! I'm not due for another 6 weeks, but keep convincing myself it will be any day now - wishful thinking I think!!

Although I have got loads of work going on in my house at the mo in preperation for new arrival - so probably wouldn't be a good idea for baby to arrive just yet!

Ooh, LCR, Lovefilm changed my life . I just LOVE it. Don't know what kind of films you like - let us know, and I'm sure we can come up with some recommendations. One I loved recently was Tell No-One - it's a French thriller, and I found it really gripping. Another tip - make sure you put plenty of light/short films (or even better, TV series) on your list for after the baby's born. When DS was born we kept getting 3 hour arthouse numbers through the post, and we were so knackered we couldn't face watching any of them. So we went back through our list and prioritised anything that was under 90 minutes or looked nice and easy .

LCR - we use lovefilm too...have you seen Area 9, white chapel, burn up (about global warming), breach, blues brothers, (and completly girly bring it on - its very teenagery but perfect for maternity leave)... we are about to get the girl with the dragon tatoo,

And dd3 has just done a poo on the toilet - ohh the minor things that bring the most pleasure

LCR - Watched Whip It last night, real feel good film, very girly but not a rom com, good soundtrack, def recommend!! Lovefilm is fab!! Also been watching Nip/Tuck boxsets - on season 2 at the min, easy to watch, quite funny, hoping it'll see me through to D day

I went to see the midwife this morning and it's all good news, lo is still in the right position (he was breech until two weeks ago) and he was having a proper little wiggle while I was being examined. My midwife had a few minutes of fun poking at lo's foot while he kicked back. I really like my midwife but the chances of her being at the hospital when I go into labour are pretty low, she only works part-time as she's only just back from maternity leave herself. I've yet to come across any midwives on visits to the local hospital who've been horrible but the one who did my antenatal classes was really dismissive and I took a bit of a dislike to her, it'll be just my luck to get her.

I've used the first day of maternity leave well today and actually managed to make it to the shops for a few bits and pieces. Bloomin' heck these babies are expensive, I only bought a basket of odds and sods and it came to fifty five quid! How old legally does this child need to be before I can send him up chimneys to earn his keep?

The top of every page of this thread has when we are all due, Emster is on there as being due on the 25th, so her LO just slightly early. Gives me hope that any of us could pop early

My DH was saying the exact same the other day, when I was trying to point out, that our money was no longer ours and we would be shelling out for years. He suggested the chimney sweep option. As they are due on the same day, they can be chimney sweep buddies!!!

I have been getting quite a few bh today, hope its not real cx (just feels like strong period pain real low down but lasts quite a few seconds) as am off to bingo tonight for the last time in a long time with my mum and sister. I better win

The hospital just phoned to change my time and place of appointment the day before my section, I thought it was to see anesthtist (sorry cant spell it) as it was in labour ward day unit, but now its in outpatients midwife clinic.

Been to the hosp today at 37+5 I am measuring 40 and baby has dropped down a little to being 4/5 engaged.

Growth scan on Thursday then consultant on Monday to assess and do an internal to see if I'm favourable for induction at 40 wks.

Shame my sister will be away for a week from Saturday - only around 45 mins away but she is the Guide leader on camp so will be tricky for her to get away and come be my birth partner..

well im not a happy bunny. My consultant (who i met for the first time today) has decided she wants to wait till im 39 weeks to give me a section as emily is now transverse. I explained that dd starts school on the 17th aug and i would like to have had the babies and be out of hospital so i dont miss her first day of school. She told me she would rather do it on the 19th which would mean dd would miss a week of school just as she starts (she will need to stay with her dad while im in hospital). Gonna go have a cuppa and try and calm down. She really wasnt very nice. Made me feel like i didnt care if something went wrong with the twins just cos i wanted them here early

Oh god I just had to cycle to pick up dd1 and got home dying because of the heat - felt really ill and then my boss came round to drop off some things - oh god I was so not with it!!!
