Sunchild - thinking of you.

coraltoes · 16/07/2010 09:42

Sunchild thinking of you, and really hope the situation improves soon for you. Limbo is the worst of all scenarios really...not knowing can be very draining. I hope you're getting lots of love at home. x

I am at work today feeling very woozy at my desk. shaky hands, awful typing, unable to focus...how is it only 9.40am i am ready for hometime! Still, at least the next two days will be realatively easier.

I should receive my booking in appt by post today (ha yeah right, Royal mail not losing important post?! pull the other one).Really curious as to my EDD as i have no idea when my LMP was! really hoping she says "oh you're 6 months gone love, how amazing" (hmmm)

Cramps easing up a touch at least, apparently just uterus stretching against stomach muscles etc...all growth related, and totally normal. Sadly normal never =fun.

me23 · 16/07/2010 10:33

Thanks for the welcome oceanbreeze,
Has anyone else noticied their areolas have enlarged mine are massive already
I've been having a few pains in pelvis hoping it is normal stretching.
Have added myself to the stats, GP changed due dat to 22/3/11 even though that's based on a 28 day cycle, however I think I ovulated around the 30th so is probably correct.

Morning

How is everyone? I've been feeling a bit rough for the past few days so am looking forward to the weekend and my husband being at home to help look after DS. I feel a bit sorry for my son as I don't think I have been as lively as usual, i've been taking him for a lot of walks and to the park so that I can get some fresh air. It helps a bit with the nausea! The nappy changes are fun when i feel ill, i have to open all of the windows and breathe through my nose! For those of you with young children you probably know what I mean. I wish when I was pregnant with DS I had taken advantage of having no one else to look after and rested much more!

Welcome to all of the new people. I had a thought that i'm not sure the stats have been updated for a while so I think there are some of the newer people not on the list. I have pasted what i think is it's most recent 'update' below so the people not on there can add themselves.

Hope no one thinks i'm being anal I just realised that it was many pages ago that it was last updated so people wouldn't have realised there was a list unless they read the whole thread

Looking forward to next week as I am on annual leave - hope not to spend too much of it feeling ill!

sunchild if you get chance tomorrow let us know how you are

EvianBaby · 16/07/2010 10:39

cross post with you me, you have the most recent stats! It must have taken me ages to type my message!

sunchild77 · 16/07/2010 10:44

Thank you, you are all so sweet. Im not in a good place. Im not clinging to any hope. We will have to dust ourselves down and try again in a wee while -maybe.

Really, I am very very lucky already, I have more than I could hope for, a beautiful daughter and a handsome son. This would be worse if it were my first pregnancy or if I didnt already have DCs.

I am sadder than I ever thought possible. I just feel that my body has played a cruel trick on me. I know it could have been much worse. Other people sadly suffer much worse things than this.

I wish you all very healthy and happy pregnancies, I so wish I was sharing them with you, another time maybe. I'm going to leave you's all now. Might pop by occasionally.

Look after yourselves, rest and make sure you try to enjoy being pregnant, its such a short time, and the reward is so great at the end...

KateandEmsMum · 16/07/2010 13:47

Hello

Can I join in? Think my due date is 21/3/11. Only found out last night and am in a bit of shock. Wasn't quite planned this time round. Already have DD 3 years and DD 10 months. Can't believe there will only be 18 months between number 2 and number 3.

This will be my fifth pregnancy so hopefully we'll improve our current 50:50 odds. No real symptoms yet other than constanly needing to go for a wee but no doubt the morning sickness will kick in around week 6 as per usual.

We originally wanted three children but as DD2 still isn't sleeping, had started to think of maybe keeping it to two but fate seems to have intervened. Funny how I've kind of gone from quite shocked to desperately hoping everything will be OK. I haven't even gone back to work yet. Quite how they will react.... well, trying not to think that far ahead just yet.

Hope everyone else is doing OK today. So nice to have people to share this news with as we will probably keep it to ourselves if possible until we've had a scan.

superpenguin · 16/07/2010 15:48

Hello ladies.

Thanks to everyone who has offered advice on combatting the nausea. It's almost constant and is getting me down a bit especially as I have no option of sleeping all day due to stupid work! Can't wait for the weekend!
Coraltoes I think we are having the same symptoms.

Celia I forgot to say before, that is so amazing to hear the heartbeat already. I am in awe!

Welcome to me23 and KateandEmsMum!

Sunchild I am sorry to hear you have yet more waiting. Take care. xxx

Bluebeach how's things with you now?

coraltoes · 16/07/2010 16:35

superpenguin you have my sympathies! not fun at all is it!? I went to the loo and put my head down on the loo roll dispenser for a few mins. heaven.

snapdragon3 · 16/07/2010 16:48

Hi to the new ladies!

Sunchild I'm so very sorry. How awful. But you sound remarkably stoical, even though you're heartbroken. Much love to you
KateandEmsmum hope this works out for you. Sounds like your household is going to be a bit like ours!
Me23 my areolas are permanently mahooossive these days , but yes, the difference is incredible when it happens! A bit of a surprise when you notice it!

Have just been for my booking in appointment. I can't quite believe it but they've aready given me appointments for my 20 week scan (21st October) and a Glucose Tolerance Test (big babies) on 29th November. Quite nice to have it all on the calendar.

The MW was very sympathetic about all the sickness but it looks like I'm managing to keep things ticking over at the moment. The blood tests and urine sample were okay so for now, I'm happy to keep plodding on. Superpenguin sorry it's getting to you - it's awful feeling so crappy and having to soldier on with work and keeping it quiet. I had a few tears the other day because I had so much to do and felt so rough. I felt a right wuss! But then I just keep thinking - it means things are okay. So I try to console myself with that thought and get through one day at a time

DD had been very sweet about it all. She keeps pulling up my top and kissing my tummy ("I give baby a kiss, Mummy"). DS is oblivious, which is good . DH told MIL and she went silent. Then asked why we hadn't waited till we could move into a bigger house . We'll manage! Then she asked us if it was an accident!

Anyway - hope you all manage a nice weekend and thinking about those having scary, uncertain times.

spilttheteaagain · 16/07/2010 20:51

Well I have graduated from the all day nausea club and joined the all-day-nausea-plus-morning-puking club. Joy!

Campervanfan · 16/07/2010 22:06

Sunchild, that's such a poignant post, I'm sorry but glad that you're thinking of trying again if the worst comes to the worst. Like you say, you already have a great family by the sounds of it. Take care x

I read thro the whole post from the start last night, I'm one of the older ones at (just turned) 36 and live in Cheshire. The facts about twins rather scared me as I'm tall, in the right age group and only stopped BF my DD 2 months ago!

polkadottytotty · 17/07/2010 07:57

Hello all

Welcome me23 and Kateandemsmum

Best wishes Sunchild - keep your chin up.

Well I am 6 weeks today and still not feeling too sick - which is good in a way but also worrying. I'm still incredibly tired, have very sore boobs and am constantly needing to wee.

Am very tempted to get some more pregnancy tests today - just to double check (again).

We're in a similar postion to you snapdragon in that we were planning on moving to a bigger house (we have 2 bedrooms) before we had no.3 - but we just threw caution to the wind, were fed up of planning our life so rigidly.

One of my best friends had her third child in October and lives in a 2 bedroomed house with 3 children under 5 - we went to stay with them and they are coping brilliantly - space not an issue at all - you just make do and get on with it.
Am going to have a big declutter over the summer holidays (I'm a teacher) and rearrange our bedroom to make room for the cot.

Anyway hope you all (especially those who are feeling so sick) manage to get some rest and relaxation time over the weekend.

Madasajarofwasps · 17/07/2010 08:42

Hello everyone, and congratulations to me23 and kateandemsmum

Oh Spilt that doesnt sound like fun. I am still with the all day nausea and have had a couple of near misses with the puking. I was talking to my friend yesterday and my mouth kept watering and I had to focus so hard on not throwing up while trying to work out how far away the toilet was. I managed not to puke but this is the fourth time its hit me and I am getting a bit fed up with all the nausea morning noon and night.

I am so tired too its debilitating. I just can't function at the moment. I am trying to squeeze in a nap every afternoon which helps, but if I can't manage it I feel dreadful.

My other worry is my constipation has become the complete opposite, with cramps too. Its horrible, I am sure the cramps are just my bowel but its hard not to worry so I am back to knicker checking.

7 weeks today ..

Still thinking of you sunchild and your blood test. I hope you have some answers xx

NoSleepTonight · 17/07/2010 09:17

Hi all, just checking in from my hospital bed
Been having severe pains on one side of my abdomen, dizziness and extremely low blood pressure. So far had bloods and urine taken and two scans. They can definately see one bean in the right place but no heartbeat, they are unsure what's going on, they can see something else but need a second opinion on the main machine not the portable one. So hour 21 in hospital for me, playing the waiting game

Harriet75C · 17/07/2010 09:58

Hello

Just found this thread and thought I'd join! 6 weeks +1 day with pg1, after TTC for 7 years. Booking appointment with consultant on 29 July - counting the days! EDD 11/3/11.

Was hoping for sickness to kick in, but so far just tired, weeing all the time and sore boobs.

Can't wait for that first scan - the Clearblue tests started off by saying 2-3 weeks and are still saying it 9 days later, so worried that hcg isn't rising. Want to get excited, but until I've seen that heartbeat I can't...

Purplefan · 17/07/2010 13:36

Hi ,

Can I join please... We have been TTC no 2 for about 16 months now. Have had AWOL periods and completely confused as to where I am in cycle - last period was 22nd April , but testing regularly just in case.... then BFP this morning!!
Have 1st appointment booked for fertility clinic in Sept (guess won't be needing that then!!)
Not sure when my due date will be due to strange cycles...but guessing March sometime.

mixedmamameansbusiness · 17/07/2010 14:08

NoSleep - Thinking of you. How awful.

The hospital had said the MW would call to make an appointment, but yesterday received a bumper pack of info with my booking apopoitment (30th July) and my scan 23rd August.

Nausea and puking galore here. I am actually have absolutely no idea how I made it though work yesterday. DH gone to work today and feel soooo rough and then he called to say he was going to his mums for dinner as they had wedding plans to discuss (BIL is getting married in Oct) possibly irrational but all day feeling crap now having to wait until about 9pm for him to come home by which time i will have had to deal with DC all by myself all day when I am ill. Why couldnt he just say "sorry mixedm is ill".

Anyway rant over.

Sorry many of you are feeling as bad as me, fingers crossed it doesnt last past the 12 week mark.

coraltoes · 17/07/2010 14:48

A friend of mine had ms all the way until labour!!! This terrifies me! Mine seems to last till lunchtime, then the exhaustion kicks in. Urgh.

Nosleep-- I hope they give you some positive news soon xx

flower11 · 17/07/2010 20:35

Hello all

Just got back from holiday in cornwall, which coincided with the start of morning sickness, which generally lasts all day, though havent actually been sick, just feel awful. Also been feeling very tired, lucky we were self catering, cause was too tired to go out most evenings, even with afternoon naps most days. Spent several evenings in bed watching tv!
not sure how i will manage back at work without the naps!

Madasajarofwasps · 17/07/2010 21:21

nosleep* how awful for you. What a trauma, I hope the pain is under control and you have some good news soon. Thinking of you xx

Congrats Harriet after 7 years ttc you must be in shock. Try not to worry about the CB tests, they are inaccurate when calculating how pg you are. Hope you feel sick soon .

Congrats purplefan too. Wow a surprise for you too. I hope it all goes well for you.

Mixedmama how pants to feel so awful. I am finding it hard with the dc at the moment as DH works late. I am not really looking forward tot he summer holidays if I still feel this bad. Hope you perk up soon.

Flower that sounds like me, feel awful all day but havent been sick yet - been close a few times. I too live for my naps, but come the summer hols I don't think I'll get any.

Take care all x

NoSleepTonight · 18/07/2010 10:43

Good morning, just to update, I'm at home now.. few days bed rest for me! I've been given cocodamol and some tablets for nausea, my blood pressure is still very low and I'm uncomfortable, but so much better than I was.
I am back at the hospital Monday and again Thursday/Friday for scans and to be reviewed by a doctor. Fingers crossed there's a heartbeat and they can tell what the other things they could see is.

Sorry to hear so many of you are now feeling sick and tired

KateandEmsMum · 18/07/2010 17:48

Nosleeptonight - thinking of you and hoping for some good news tomorrow.

Am completely knackered today after our usually lovely neighbours threw a party with fireworks and loud music until 2am. Now I don't want to sound like a spoil sport but given DD2 still wakes at about 3am, this was not good. Just managed to doze off after all that racket only to be woken up 30 mins later by a crying 10 month old. Lovely.

Also have a week of full time work to look forward to having been on mat leave for the past year so am clearly well up for that. Can't even hit the coffee to keep me going. Ahhh!

Hope everyone with sickness is feeling a bit better. Mine doesn't seem to have kicked in yet but as only 4.5 weeks, I know I have it to look forward to in about 10 days. Yipee. Travel sickness bands helped me a bit but are a bit of a giv

KateandEmsMum · 18/07/2010 17:49

Ahh, accidently posted before finished.

Was going to say they were a bit of a give away esp when wearing summery short sleeves.

Madasajarofwasps · 18/07/2010 19:50

Glad you are home nosleep it must be nicer to be in your own bed. At least the pain is better than it was. Fingers crossed you have good news next week. Keep us posted x

Kateandemsmum how annoying for you - I know people like to enjoy themselves but 2am is a tad antisocial. Hope you get a better night tonight.

Much the same for me today. Does anyone else's tummy feel really swollen already? I am sure I can feel a lump when i bend over. Trousers are getting tighter (although this could be due to all the pork pies, which I am cutting back on!!)
