Bionicear I'm thirsty constantly - I had to get up in the night (as well as to pee) to drink about three cups of water because my mouth was dry. Hope your leg gets better soon. I've found with pg cramp it takes a whole day or a bit more to disappear, but that does sound extreme. no dancing indeed - let there be cake instead .
Nymph a question for you. You recently bought some Hot Milk bras, didn't you? Did you go to a shop for them - if so, if it wasn't an independent in your area, where did you get them from. I'm looking at them online, but I can never seem to find the right size, or at least, I'd like to know if there are more options out there.
Elsa and Shieldbug - last time around, my last MN antenatal thread gradually moved across to a postnatal one as the babies were born. It was an absolute godsend for me with DS coming so early, because I didn't know anyone in RL who'd had a baby, and because he was in hospital it took me about three/four months before I started meeting people, other than one or two I was in hospital with. I would have been very lonely without my MNetters then. They were brilliant support. By chance, one of them had my address as she'd sent me a birthing video, so she sent a card on behalf of all the group, signed with all their usernames, which was lovely. The threads carried on for a few years, with the last posts just the start of this year I think. Many of us are now Facebook friends - in some ways that's what killed off the PN thread. There were quite a few RL meet-ups among those who lived near each other with the babies/toddlers.
I got my cyst results back this morning. It's fine, phew. Actually, it was a blessing in disguise, because I've been seen by a different consultant who is extremely on the ball, and I've been transferred to her care, which I'm very happy about. As well as being extremely knowledgeable about endometrial cysts and the likely prognosis (unlikely to grow more, but almost certainly need to have it removed post-birth as it's not going to go away), she talked about all aspects of prematurity and swabbed me to check if I had bacterial vaginosis, which can be a trigger for prem labour . No-one else had suggested doing that. If I do have it, I'll have ABs, and whatever the result I'll get swabbed again as the pregnancy progresses. She's really nice too, and treats you like someone with a brain - she asked me if I was from a medical background, which I was dead chuffed about (I'm not, but I only changed my mind about doing medicine at the last minute and have always been fascinated by the body and its systems). So I must have sounded as though I knew what I was talking about a bit!
Long post! Bedtime now. Hello everyone else.
