Hi SORKY! Yes, I thought girl too for CANT Grin. Also,do you have any info'on this implantation dip I've read about? By dip do they mean below coverline? Confused

CANT any opks would be gratefully received Smile. I have a few left but have a feeling I'm in for the long haul so would love to take you up on your offer Smile

cantmummyhaveabreak · 26/08/2010 12:26

diege- think i have about 25 left... will bring what i have for you :)

I also feel resigned to another female birth!! The last 2 times i was PG was the same mths cycle's, due around the same time's, and both girls...

We moved the sofa into our bay window on tuesday, and DD2 started walking more in the open space from a couple of mins after we moved it... She'd been crawling more than walking still, but would walk if only 5-6 steps... well this morning she's barely crawled- she's walking most places!! walking across the room from sofa to sofa!! Wuhoo!! Grin

bumpsnowjustplump · 26/08/2010 12:51

morning.. Thank you diege and sorky for the cake comments lol, at least i know where to come to for support Wink.. Still very Envy of you all ttc and those that are pregant though.

Cant that is really interesting about how the couple will become legal parents.. Can I ask a few more questions? Tell me to sod off if you like I wont be upset..

I am still loving the job but am struggling a bit with the work/children balance. I have been working lots of extra hours as other carers are s**t and think nothing of letting our clients down... but ds is started to wake crying alot at night and dd is starting to play up during the day (nothing major)so think maybe i am working too much and not giving them enough attention.. what do you think?

bumpsnowjustplump · 26/08/2010 12:52

see i am so Envy I cant even spell pregnant

cantmummyhaveabreak · 26/08/2010 12:59

Bump- ask away- i dont mind!! :)

How long have you been working now? how long have you been working the extra hours? are't you working the childcare between yourself and your DP? or am i worng? It could just be coincidence that they are doing this now, but may also be a sign that they're after a bit more mummy-time... Not really sure myself with not working since having DS... Sure others can help tho.

Moosy · 26/08/2010 13:03

Can't, B6 comes in 10mg tablets so you can easily adjust the dose. My GP said to start with 30mg a day (spread out over the day for a more constant release) and if it didn't help then to take more, but not to go over 100mg a day. It helps to even out blood sugar levels so you don't get the crash that makes you puke if you don't eat straight away.

Diege, it's all sounding good, cx should be getting higer and harder and closing up. If AF's going to come it will prob start getting lower but still staying hard.

5 days to moving day and we have a working toilet, woohoo!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 26/08/2010 13:23

Moosy- thanks for info on B6- will try and get some tomorrow while i'm out. and wuhoo for working toilet!!

bumpsnowjustplump · 26/08/2010 13:27

Thanks cant.. I was wondering (as I am nosey), who will be at the birth? And also when the couple will take the baby..

I have been working a month now and the plan was that dp and I share childcare but as I have been working extra hours then my mum and my sister have been helping as I start earlier than dp finishes due to said extra hours. I have also been working extra at weekends so not seeing them much then either... Have said I can no longer work more than the 12 till 9 every other weekend though as I got really upset last time because I hadn't seen the dc's all day..

Diege · 26/08/2010 13:36

Hi BUMP! That's a tough one about work.I wouldn;t see the dcs' behaviour as necessarily linked to your working longer hrs. It might be an entire coincidence, or more down to the change in routine as opposed to your absence per se if that makes sense? Your dcs will adjust, and if you are happy working longer hrs then that will have a knock on effect on them...However,if you're not happy that's a different story. You may have to be tough with work and make sure you have more predictable hrs (and maybe dh can ensure when/if he has more time off?) Remember, it's very early days and reminds me a bit of the some of the threads when people go back to work after mat leave. It all settles down after a few weeks x

sorky · 26/08/2010 14:27

woohoo for toilets :D

Diege implantation can result in a dip of 0.3 degrees or even below Coverline, but it must soar back up the next day.

How many dpo are you? It normally occurs between 5-10dpo, depending on how long your LP is.

It's not a reliable indicator of pg, as you can get a dip without being pg, but many women who do chart and get pg can clearly see the implantation dip around one week post ovulation.

The best indicator for pg using temps is a triphashic chart. 18 high temps above Coverline will also indicate pg (but I never waited that long before poas!)

All my charted pg have shown this.

Rather than an implantation dip, I get a second tier of temps higher than the first 6 temps post ovulation.

I do not use the site linked, I just googled it Grin

BUMPS
I work 1.5 days and the kids are used to that.

If I have to do an extra days for meetings etc, and Dh can't be at home, then they are very clingy for the rest of the week.

My mam has them one afternoon a month and they do okay with this.

We've tried me upping my hours to 1 day and 2 afternoons and it's carnage.

See how they go, see how you go. It's very hard finding the happy medium.

At the end of the phone if you need me......but not tonight Mistresses is on and I'm completely hooked! Grin

Does alcohol put weight on you, anyone? I've been drinking the 'ol vino (not too much) and have put on 5lb's Shock

bumpsnowjustplump · 26/08/2010 14:54

sorky thanks for that I will see how it goes and will cut back to normal hours if things get worse...

A glass of wine of an evening wont make you put on weight but if you then eat lots of rubbish because you are a little merry then that could... i always eat crap when I am drinking .... I think a glass of white wine (175ml) contains 150 cals .. red wine is more...

sorky · 26/08/2010 14:56

Blush might be the red wine then. Have enough left for Mistresses tonight, then I'm cutting well back.

Dh reckons it's lack of sleep, which would also make sense, as I get very little atm Hmm

bumpsnowjustplump · 26/08/2010 15:00

yes could be lack of sleep, try sleeping before you cut back on the wine ;)

sorky · 26/08/2010 15:08

How do you get out of the habit of waking at 3am every night though. It's driving me nuts!!

The moon was lovely at 3am this morning though :)

Even when X sleeps through, I still wake up and cannot get back to sleep until at least 5am, grrr!

bumpsnowjustplump · 26/08/2010 15:24

more red wine is the answer Wink.. I hate it when that happens though, is there something on your mind at all? is X sleeping through? could you take a nightol one night to see if you can break the habbit?

sorky · 26/08/2010 15:31

hmm, yes lots of stress at work recently.

maybe it'll sort itself out.

she sleeps through inconsistently atm, though I reckon it's linked to a drop of daytime sleep.

when she has a morning and afternoon nap she sleeps better at night. 'course it's difficult to reason with an 18mo that she does actually need the sleep Hmm

GiraffeYoga · 26/08/2010 15:31

Hi - sorry for complete conversation hijack....

But Sorky has put on weight.... and is waking at odd times in the morning.... that sniffs of a pink line to me...... Grin anyone else??? Just saying!

Hi bumps :) I feel your pain on missing the kids thing. It the key source of angst in my life. Not sure of a solution though.

Sorry for feeling sick Cant. Hope you are keeping it in :-S

Hi Ses- good for you for standing up to your dad- its his decision, even if it might be a bit misguided! :)

Grin

i read a thread on here the other day about someone pg 4 years after the snip. told Dh about it and I swear the colour drained from his face Grin

bumpsnowjustplump · 26/08/2010 15:43

Has dh been back for the [ahm] test yet?

GiraffeYoga · 26/08/2010 15:44

LOL. Poor chap. Better not joke incase he reads it over your shoulder.

I have phases of that waking thing. Always exactly the same time of night. It usually hormonally related as it happens at specific times in cycle. But also randomly. No idea of a cure.

Mine definately isnt related to a pink line Grin

bumpsnowjustplump · 26/08/2010 15:46

ps sorky ds never has a morning sleep anymore... But does go down every afternoon after lunch and does always sleep better if he has a good two hours...

If you are stressed at work then that could be it so I stand by my first bit of advice, more red wine will help Wink
