Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
essenceofSES · 14/08/2010 21:03

Yes Diege - it was our first month ttc. Why is it we think every month it's going to happen? (Even the first month with only one well timed GOF!) I've worked out that when I'm due to ov next could be when inlaws are staying....
I have an appointment with GP on Monday re my thyroid levels so it would be best to get that sorted first, but doesn't change the fact that I want to be pg!!!

Re tantrums, I think change of routine really does affect them a lot. even now with O if we do something out of routine, he seems to become unsettled.

Have you anything else planned for the rest of the hols?

maxxymoosmummy · 15/08/2010 07:51

morning everyone ... had a really good night last night was shocked Shock

DIEGE welcome back, hope you had a good time away despite the tantrums, and hope they calm down now your back home, to normality. and also sorry that AF turned up Sad

SES sorry for AF turning up with you too. love the linen dungarees Smile will look very smart.

TINK next order sounds good Smile ordering DSs on tuesday i think. Grin

hi to anyone else ive missed / any lurkers.

as for the night last night ... M is off a dummy in the daytime whilst playing etc he would only have it when going for a nap or bed. but last night was the first night putting him to bed without a dummy, he cried for no more than 2 mins when i first put him down in his cot, then went quiet, ( i ended up thinking the worst of him, thought he must have found another dummy in his cot ) turns out i was wrong as when i went in to check on him he was led trying to get to sleep without a dummy still Smile but i had to change his nappy, so disturbed him. but luckily when i put him back down he went without a dummy still and no crying this time Grin and he was fast asleep within 5 minutes. and the best thing hes slept all the way through like he normally did with his dummy, but hes been able to do it without now too. im sooo please and proud of him Grin thought i was in for a bad night from him waking for his dummy, but no he proved me wrong.

sorry for long post just about a night haha, but im sooooo proud. Grin Grin

tinktellyaddict · 15/08/2010 09:15

morning Grin

diege and ses - sorry for afs Sad

my dd1 is 5 end of aug and she is very moody and the moment!!

hi max

when r people ordering in school shoes?

Starshinetiger · 15/08/2010 09:17

Well Done MMM - that's fantastic! Very brave of you to try to stop the dummy while he's still little, so doubly well done - you are right to be proud and to post about it Grin

Diege - sorry for AF and for tantrums whilst on hols. Nice to have you back with us though.

Ses - sorry for AF too and for D&V. Am sure you will look lovely at your DB's wedding - was only going to comment the other day that I thought you were looking slimmer in your photo with the fire engine.

Tink - glad you had good hols. Good to see you are back to shopping already. I picked up my Next order for DD for autumn last week adn the clothes are lush! Looking forward to putting them on her in next couple of months.

Am hoping some of her summer clothes will still fit her in 7 weeks time as we're off on hols - going to same place we went with DS when he was 25 months and I was pg with DD. Is v child friendly and only 15 mins transfer from airport so should make for an easy break we hope. Our first hol since DD was born (if you don't count weekends away to DM and PIL or our weekend in Edinburgh), so really very much looking forward to it Grin

Hope you all have good Sundays - off to Tescos with DC shortly while DH does more on the tiling at home.

Starshinetiger · 15/08/2010 09:18

Cross posts - Morning Tink!

tinktellyaddict · 15/08/2010 09:22

hi star

when r people buying school shoes?

maxxymoosmummy · 15/08/2010 09:31

hi TINK and STAR ,
STAR sounds great about holiday with such a short transfer too.
im off on holiday next year with DS, and our transfer is going to be 1 hour 30 mins, with a 4 hour 30 min flight or something silly. but will all be worth it, and weve gone for night flights. looking forward to it already, but sooo far away haha.
you off anywhere nice then?

TINK dont know about school shoes as DS isnt at that age yet Hmm sorry, but i do know a few friends that have DCs at school and there waitin till bout 2-3 week before they go back just incase there feet grow in the mean time.

Diege · 15/08/2010 10:27

Morning!
That does sound a good night MMM - good for you on sticking to it, must be tough.
TINKS, I've already got dd3's school shoes when on hols, and will be gettinbg older dds' ones this week I think. They really do seem to run out of stock so quickly here (not sure whyHmmI mean they know they'll be a rush around this time...So my advice wo0uld be to buy now!
STAR, your holiday plans sound great, and lovely to have a 'late' holiday to look forward to.
SES agree with others that I'm sure you'll look great for the wedding. You were looking very trim in London Smile
I,on the other hand, am not, having out on 6ibs while on hols Blush. So back to the old Slimming World from today.
CANT, have had a skim through and sounds very pos about possble implantation bleed!

tinktellyaddict · 15/08/2010 11:29

morning

hi diege

dont seem to run out quite so quick here!!
was going to order them to collect in store in a few weeks

tinktellyaddict · 15/08/2010 15:27

hi

ordering in shos to collect in store a week wed
getting school shoes for dd1, and probably trainers for both of the girls
what winter shoes do others get?

cantmummyhaveabreak · 15/08/2010 19:33

Tink- ordering DC's shoes end of aug, DS goes back 2nd sept and DD2 starts 13th. Would it be wrong to send them back in shoes from sept if their feet haven't grown? only just got new shoes a couple of weeks before they broke up as their feet grew... and i swear they still fit fine!! just feel nasty not sending all shiny and new, but dont wanna waste money when they'll need some prob end sept-oct time when their feet do grow!!

Diege- good to have you back!! DS has them sort of tantrums (as you saw at the beach) and it's not nice, but it really makes me feel so stupid, like i can't control him etc... i'm sure some snotty old ladies must be giving me Hmm looks!! Are we still on for Underwater street on 28th? hadn't told DC's for certain just to be safe.

Sorry for AF too... was so sure you were PG when i'd heard the news from your postcard!!

Ses- sorry for AF- such a shame when you really believe you must be!! (i'm trying not to get like that- got till fri to test!!)

Haven't really been up to much. DH was back at work yesterday, but kids behaved, older 2 stayed up late with me and helped me eat pizza, garlic bread and chips- they loved it- felt so grown up having a late night with me (all of 9pm)!! But i was so super tired that i went to bed at the same time as them!! So they really thought it was much later!!

essenceofSES · 15/08/2010 20:37

Hello!

Feeling lots better today :)

MMM - Can't tell you how impressed I am with you and DS! Hope it continues for you - congatulations!!

Star - v exciting about your holiday! We've not had a "sun" holiday abroad since our honeymoon 4yrs ago and can't see it happening again for a few years if we want to concentrate on enlarging our family and our house!

Cant - your "late night" with DC sounds lovely

Hello tink, Diege, Gruff, Giraffe and anyone else around!

DH made a lovely chicken salad for tea with lettuce from the garden. I had 2 mouthfuls left when a small slug crawled to the edge of my bowl Shock Shock Shock
DH said "I did wash it!" and laughed! I saw him wash it - just think I'll wash it myself in future Grin My first day without nausea for 4 days and now I feel sick again...

maxxymoosmummy · 16/08/2010 08:02

morning all, 2nd nite witout a dummy and result again Smile so pleased. yesterday i didnt even take one out with me. thats how determined to stick to it i am Grin
feeling a little worse for wear today. not much sleep, and few drinks last night. but ill be fine. haha.
hope everyone is ok.

tinktellyaddict · 16/08/2010 09:08

morning Grin

hi mm - well done

cant - will send dd1 in her current school shoes if her feet havent grown

Moosy · 16/08/2010 09:52

Sorry for the BFNs, hopefully we'll be hearing lots of honks soon. Diege it sounds like the agnus castus is maybe doing its job, hopefully next month it will have worked?

Yay for losing the dummy MMM, well done both of you.

Fizzy has been going to sleep in the evenings without BFing to sleep for the last few nights - hooray! And last night she only woke once for one very quick feed from one side, so this morning I'm feeling very well slept but also rather (oO) roll on 4pm when I can feed her again!

We did the first bit of painting in the barn yesterday, the girls' bedroom is finished apart from curtains and carpet! We move in on friday next week so there's still a lot to do, most importantly the hot water and lights!

Ses, your extension looks like it's going well, do you have a date you're aiming for to finish? Hope your tummy's feeling better today.

Moosy · 16/08/2010 10:01

Oh, and we're getting DD1's school shoes this week hopefully

tinktellyaddict · 16/08/2010 13:37

received nectar statement today have requested amazon vouchers Grin

hi moosy barn sounds good Grin

Diege · 16/08/2010 14:07

Hello! At work, but have only just got into office as key wasn't working and 'maintainace' have been fiddling with the lock all morning Hmm
MOOS, barn sounds great - you must be so excited that things are finally coming to an end after all the work. I liked you Oo sign Grin
SES, lol and retch at your slug story. I had a spider in my soup once, which was bad, but a slug does sound a little worse I think!
CANT yes, still up for the 28th! I'll have a think about where might be best to meet and e-mail you Smile
TINKS, good on the amazon vouchers - I might finally yield to corporate domination and sign up to a nectar card!
Right, better go on my course (it's just me, so no hiding at the back..)

cantmummyhaveabreak · 16/08/2010 15:05

Diege- we'll be driving, so parking as close to underwater st as possible so we dont get lost... but can meet most places i'm sure- DH is much better at orienteering than me!!

I'm buying tests today... gonna do one tomorrow, and every morning till AF arrives... Friends are getting super excited now!!

Moosy- the barn sounds fab!! Been watching your FB pics of the development and it does look super lush!!

Ses- slug? YUK!! [puke face]

Tink- i have a nectar card, but never recieve any statements... prefer my clubcard really...

cantmummyhaveabreak · 17/08/2010 04:22

think it's about time this wagon had a HHHHHHOOOOOONNNNNNKKKKKK!!!!!!

Yes, we've only gone and bloody done it!! 1st try!! I'm bloody pregnant!!!!!!!! Did a super cheapie test yesterday afternoon, i could see a very very faint line, thought it was in my head- but both sisters could confirm the line!!! for the last week i've been waking at 4-5am for the loo, just tested, BFP!!Grin

smithylovesme · 17/08/2010 05:36

Congratulations!!!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 17/08/2010 07:49

text friend at 4am when the BFP showed!! she's gonna ring in a bit... think she'll be over asap to see it with her eyes but i'm about to email her a pic!!

DH was half asleep and i told him, he's so relaxed it's untrue!!

I can't flipping believe it!! I'm so excited!! I kinda suspected i was PG, but i didn't 'feel' PG... and hadn't told them my list of symptoms till yesterday as was scared to get their hopes up and then only get a BFN... but no- my suspicions were right!!

tinktellyaddict · 17/08/2010 09:42

cant - great news Grin

how exciting Grin

hi diege and ses Grin

Diege · 17/08/2010 09:53

Wow CANT that's amazing news Grin I had a feeling you might be, based on the symptoms you've been having. Many congrats to you and your friend!Due date please!
Morning TINKS, SES, SMITHY Smile. TINKS, dd3's coat from Next arrived yesterday (green parka with furry hood and bunny on back). Really nice, very impressede with it.
Ds at nursery today, and dds at home. Also expecting dd2's friend any minute for the day, so a full house. I am supposed to be working from home, though doubtful of getting much done...
Gearing up for gof time here - lots of EWM today (cd7) so hoping ovulation might be in a few days. Dh out tonight, but have 'booked' him for weds and subsequent nights Grin
Hi to everyone else!
