morning all, the weather is awful here, very very windy, and raining. god i thought it was meant to be summer.
the wind has woken M up early so no dubt he will be a pain because of being tired later. think im off out to my cousins again this afternoon, for tea like every friday :D
hope everyone is ok its very quiet on here lately.

Rugbylovingmum · 16/07/2010 08:14

Hurray hurray, moving day has finally arrived but OMG we are so disorganised!!! I have packed up the living room and most of the dining room but that is it . I've just been sooooo tired all week I couldn't be bothered. I think we will be frantically packing this afternoon (I'm taking a half day holiday) and tomorrow. The bedrooms shouldn't be too bad - we are just leaving everything in the drawers and sticking them in the van so really just the beds and wardrobe to do - but the kitchen could take ages and then it's all the 'bits and bobs' you forget are there but take up a van load of boxes.

Moosy - fingers crossed you are on the move soon! Urgh for headlice, thank goodness C is too young to get them yet. Just the thought takes me back to my school days and makes me itch. Luckily I only ever had them once but my poor cousin seemed to get them all the time.

MMM - I hope you don't have a grumpy boy today. It's very windy too and my poor apple and plum trees keep getting blown over - we've lost half the fruit already. They will be much happier out of their pots and into the garden in the new place.

GYo - are you okay?

Right, got to dash. Should do some work this morning if I'm leaving at lunch. Please keep your fingers crossed we get the keys today without any more problems!!!

maxxymoosmummy · 16/07/2010 08:22

RUGBY i have my fingers crossed you get the keys, and all the packing done how exciting.
your poor trees, but yes im sure they will be happier out of the pots
DS has gone quiet again in the past 15 mins, so maybe hes back asleep. thought id leave him as he normally doesnt wake up till at least 9.30

Rugbylovingmum · 16/07/2010 08:47

MMM - 9.30 . What time does he go to bed? DD usually gets up between 5.30 and 6am and it's very rare for her to sleep beyond 6am. I've tried ignoring her but she just goes from whinging to yelling to screaming until we get her up. I can't complain too much though as it's not that long ago she was waking up 3 or 4 times a night and taking ages to settle - now she settles easily and always sleeps from 7 until 5.30 without a fuss (touch wood it lasts ).

maxxymoosmummy · 16/07/2010 09:22

he normally goes to bed around 8ish, maybe sometimes a little later. he has got himself out of his bedtime routine since its been light and hes got a bit older, which im not bothered about as it means i see him for longer in a day, and then when it does come to putting him down he goes straight to sleep nstead of talking / screaming / shouting.
altho he used to go to bed around 7 and still didnt wake till around the 9.30 mark. hes just lazy haha. if he could all he would do all day is eat and sleep.

tinktellyaddict · 16/07/2010 10:41

Quick 'check-in' from me too before meet-up. Have left mobile number on FB, so all set!
I think I'm really going to struggle with placing real names next to MN ones - it will be like meeting a second set of people .

What a lovely day
Thank you so much everyone at the meet up
Was thinking of posting a little message to each of you on FB but I'm going to cheat and post them here (lazy!)

Bumps - great to see J and O again. J is such a polite little girl and makes wonderful conversation. Great to see O growing up and he is v cute - especially when he was kissing Moosy's DD!

Giraffe - B seems so grown up! MEant to tell you I loved her jeans too with the frilly edged pockets

Star - Great to meet your DH and see the Star family complete! J is so well behaved (is he always like that as I'll be getting him to train O!) and C has changed so much and I love her cheeky side!

LBOT - I hope you do lurk and post occasionally! Was great to finally meet you and T. He was exactly how I imagined

Moosy - F was so content all day! Thank you so much for the cakes. What with that and the wonderful hat and trousers F was wearing, you've inspired me to think about making something vaguely creative myself!

Gruff - great to see you, Z and your DH again! Z is so cute - I loved it when he kept walking round in circles making himself dizzy! Also v impressed with his signing.

Diege - great to see you again and meet J and S - they kept O well occupied with sticks! Hope you enjoyed your weekend in London and your journey back is ok.

Sorky - great to finally meet you too and your family. Did you make it to the Tower of London?

essenceofSES · 18/07/2010 20:12

Tink - I'm a bit of your Center Parcs trip. Which one are you going to? Having been in Feb, we loved it. Funny, as I never thought I'd say that a few years ago!

Hello MMM and anyone else lurking

GruffaloSoldier · 18/07/2010 21:21

Hey all,

What a lovely day! Was so lovely to finally meet everybody!

Moosy - I too have been inspired by your creations! I might even dust off the sewing machine in the loft and give it a go!Very impressive stuff!

I think we should def try to arrange a huge get together with everyone somewhere central. It would be fab to have everyone all together!

Me and DH are exhausted after our busy weekend! Chilling out with a cuppa now

GiraffeYoga · 19/07/2010 07:33

Morning

Quick one from me

Morning Tink

Thanks for a lovely day yesterday. I was thinking of the way home what a fab group of little ones we have... Especially those who travelled so far to be there- Moosy, Diege, Sorky.

Moosy- your cakes were amazing. I ate my 2nd one on the train and really didnt want to share it with the small giraffe but she wasnt going just sit and watch great to meet you and F.

Diege- sorry we didnt get more time to speak, great to meet you in the flesh though. Your two older DDs are gorgeous.

Sorky- sorry we didnt get to speak much either... great to see the whole Sorky family down in london

LBOT- in case you stop by, it was great to meet you in person and meet T.

Bumps- your two have grown up loads since december, especially O. He is gorgeous

Star- great to meet Mr Star, he is lovely. You are a great family and Charlotte is gorgeous. I just wanted to cuddle her

Gruff- last but not least! Great to see you and Mr Gruff again. The Cub is so grown up now...

Ses- lovely to see you again and O looking sooo much like you these days. We love those geans too...

Looking forward to our next mini southern meet up - Star/Ses/Gruff and anyone else nearby

right- work, I did virtually nothing last thursday and friday

morning all, glad you seemed to have a great day yesterday had a quiet weekend here, as weather has been awful, and was expecting a lady saturday that then rearranged to today. so in again today.

M has cut 1 of his molars now, so waiting on the others to come out. he only has 8 teeth

hope everyone has gooddays despite it being monday and miserable. its gone very quiet on here lately were is everyone?

Moosy · 19/07/2010 08:53

Morning everyone,

Yesterday was lovely, it was so nice to meet everyone at last! It felt very strange though, knowing so much about you all but never having met, it was like meeting old friends, but for the first time! Glad you all liked the cakes too

Sorky, we met at last! It was so good to see you and all your littles Sorkies, shame we didn't have more time, but there will be a next time!

Bumps, your DC are so lovely, I could have taken them both home with me, J is so polite and O is so cute, I think Fizzy was quite smitten! Hope his lip's ok today.

Gruff, thank you for the tourist advice, I ended up walking down through St James's park to Trafalgar square where I sat on the steps and BF'ed Fizzy while watching the fountain - very nice! Oh and Z is so funny to watch, and he has such a serious look when he's concentrating on something, very cute!

Star, your family are lovely, your DC were so well behaved and C has a great little cheeky smile!

Ses, for feeling creative, it's really not as hard as you think, and it's such a nice feeling to be able to say "I made that", go for it!

LBOT, glad you made it, T was just perfect is his dungarees, there's nothing better than a dungaree-d crawling baby

Well today I ache from neck to toe from carrying everything on the trains! Last night I had black snot and black feet and was so tired I was in bed at 10! I feel like such a country bumpkin, life is so much slower here. You'll all have to come for a holiday here and see what I mean!

tinktellyaddict · 19/07/2010 09:44
