Hi Giraffe yep I will be there on the 18th. I get into Victoria so will be walking to GP... Ses are you still goint to Victoria? Shall we meet there?

I will have DD and DS so will probably get in a bit early so we can watch the changing of the guard first.... DP may even come as well but I am not totally sure of that yet. Sorky & Deige are your dh's going to be joining us for the picnic? or will they be doing something else?

Diege · 08/07/2010 11:42

Just a quickie from me - working through the a-level scripts- got up at 5am to get cracking, and feel sooo sleepy now...
SES that sound a wonderful weekend - I am very jealous! I'd settle for Nath
BUMPS, working in the area I'd say there are no plans to change the admissions criteria. Mature students need as you say access/NVQ level 3. Certain courses need practical experience (eg.social work) but obviously not midwifery. I can check with my sister if you like (she's a midwife who's in charge of students admissions at uni) but I'm 99.999% sure you'll be fine. Sounds a very doable plan to me! Oh and on dh front, no it's just me and older dds for London. Dh will be at home with dd3 and ds
GIRAFFE, could you managae a little nap? Think of the warm, cosy duvet...

GiraffeYoga · 08/07/2010 11:44

Diege- your baaaaaaaaaaaad now Im eying the sofa and soft fleece blanket nearby....

I am sending the same vibes back at you

Hope the scripts are going ok.

Afternoon, home from DD1's nursery sports day, she won the dressing up race!

Ses- yes starting TTC from my next cycle, am on CD13 of current cycle so not long at all! I'm on the pregnacare and using OPK's for this month, expect to see OV tomorrow.

Diege- sadly I can agree how bad your phone is! You should get a new fancy one! has my has my texting lesson helped at all?

Hello everyone!

GruffaloSoldier · 08/07/2010 15:35

Hello

GY - are you still up for going together on train to wagon meet up?

I was thinking about bringing DH too as he would be a great extra pair of hands - I dont fancy my chances of having a conversation for more than 5 secs at a time because GC will be running off I think he would only come if other partners were there. GY - I think he would be helpful with getting children and buggies off trains and things??

CANT exciting about ttcing, currently we are on CD12 so GOFfing will be starting tonight

Great plan LB!My DH has NVQ level 3 and is in a good senior management position, he will be working towards level 4 from Sept.Even if you change your mind further down the road, there are always alternatives that you can do I say go for it!

Big news here is we have finally taken the plunge and going to sell the flat. Have set the wheels in motion! Will still be a little while to get things moving but we have found a house. Its perfect (its rental) and I am trying to organise to go and see it but agents havent rang me back yet!

Im also seeing a lady about a job next week. will be 9 hours ish a week and we are going to try and work it around DH's job with childcare. (luckily he does the rotas)It is very good wage (self employed so I set my own fee)The only problems is that things might be changing a bit at DH's work so its a bit up in the air but Im feeling a bit at the mo!

Hello to all Ive missed

News here is

GruffaloSoldier · 08/07/2010 15:44

cantmummyhaveabreak · 08/07/2010 15:59

Hello everyone

All still very much up in the air at the moment, and still can't say much, I'm not on the FB wagon thingymebob, else I could have told you all.

I know it's being cheeky because I haven't even caught up on here, but I am after some advice, I've started a thread but not really much in the way of answers yet, wondered if you guys might have any? Thread is here. It's nothing to do with the secrecy BTW!

Am hearing lovely weather for you lot down south I am bloody freezing!! And it is grey and miserable, warm (except me!) but not a nice summer's day by far!

Anyway, I shouldn't be on here, will still keep checking back xxx

tinktellyaddict · 09/07/2010 17:31

hi nj trying to work out secret
going to your thread to look now will see if i can help~!!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 11/07/2010 11:19

Morning!! I'm feeling super lazy!!

DD2 now has her 7th tooth too, and can climb stairs!!

Have cleared out DD2's wardrobe, anyone need summer rompers in 6-9? (next, current season, barely worn) or 6-9 cooler weather bits?

tinktellyaddict · 11/07/2010 11:44

thanks for asking but dd2 in 12-18 mtnhs clothes
i luv sorting out bits

next have there autumn winter clothes onling to look at and buy already!!!
eyeing them up already

Starshinetiger · 11/07/2010 11:53

Was about to come on here and wonder at the tumbleweed - thanks for brushing it aside Cant and Tink. Desperately need to have a clearout here too Cant, but the list is just so long it's exhausting thinking about it!

Thanks, but no need for those bits here. Are you not tempted to put them as a bundle on ebay?

Can't believe how hot it is here this weekend. Had a lovely day here yesterday - park in early morning before it got too hot, coffee in our villagey bit of town and then just chilled out here all day and had neighbours over with their children for a bbq for teatime. Both DC were so tired come bedtime. Then watched both parts of the Grey's season finale we had V+d last night - oh my gosh it was so stressful! I nearly came out of it with a heart condition myself MIL phoned when we were about 20 mins from the end and I was so into the programme, I passed the phone to DH and told him to tell her we'd call back - goodness knows what she thought we were up to!

Subject of more children came up with neighbours yesterday and for the first time, DH wasn't absolutely categoric in his No! Think it's just a maybe if everything came together right for us, but we're also very happy with our gorgeous 2DC, so we'll see what the next couple of years brings - still gives me something to plot about when I am doing boring spreadsheets at work!

Right, roast nearly ready - took the DC to Tescos this morning to get invitations for DS' birthday party and left DH at home cooking roast. DD fell asleep in the trolley going round - that's the consequence of disturbed nights' sleep due to 4 - yes, 4! - premolars coming through at once at the moment and taking their sweet time about it too [grr]

cantmummyhaveabreak · 11/07/2010 17:31

Afternoon. Star- can't really put as a bundle on eBay since they put a max p&p of £4... So if it comes to it I'll split into small bundles and put on eBay.

DH is going for half with a friend after work, so just me and the kids for tea. His will get put in the oven for later, couldn't be doing with cooking twice!

GiraffeYoga · 12/07/2010 07:26

Morning

Monday again! it comes around so fast....

Just a quick one from me.

morning

hi ladies

mum over today

Starshinetiger · 12/07/2010 10:31

Morning all. Am sooooo tired... DD another disturbed night - blased teeth! She was so hot too - progress was that she only had milk once last night, despite waking 3 times - first time resettled with nurofen, second time with water and finally at 1am with milk, but she took ages to go back off to sleep , so I slept from 1.50am 'til my alarm went off at 6am. Yawn - am mainlining black caffeinated coffee this morning in an attempt to keep me on track with weight watchers - but I could so scoff some calorie-laden sugary thing from the coffee shop at work right now!

Am off to a snooker legends event with DH tonight - get to meet the players beforehand - Jimmy White, John Parrot, John Virgo and some others - am fearful I will fall asleep during the match though!

Aaaagh - nursery just called. Got to collect DD.

sorky · 12/07/2010 11:12

Snooker always sends me to sleep! 4 molars sounds utterly brutal Star still, I suppose it's 3 less teething episodes to have isn't it?

Glad you enjoyed your break Ses, sounded lovely!!

Very excited for Bumps, midwifery is a very noble profession. I bet you love it :D

I'll post my number to the fb page in a minute.
The lovely Mr Sorky will be there to run after the rabble, so additional manliness would be appreciated.
Dont want him to feel like he could be eaten by Harpies ;)

I'm the wrong side of 35 today, ho hum....

GiraffeYoga · 12/07/2010 11:50

Happy Birthday Sorky

Sorry for bad night Star, and having to collect DD. Hope she is ok.

Morning tink.

Sorky - I will drag bring my DH along too then.

GY - I will FB you so we can arrange train times etc...

Urgh I need to lie down, back later!

Diege · 12/07/2010 16:09

Hello! Just popping in to say hello, very busy with marking.
Happy birthday SORKY!!! You're in your 'pre-40s' now as they say
STAR, I used to LOVE snooker - went to watch all the televised tournaments when I was a teen with my dad - used to love watching Jimmy White, Kirk Stevens , Cliff Thorburn...I am a teeny bit Bad luck on nursery call though
Well riding on sat was great (I am still walking like John wayne ). Got my canter, and also did a sneaky test beforehand after all (clear bfn and af arrived today...). Panicing a bit, as my cycle has really shortened (26 days now) and worried that luteal phase is buggered...(about 10-12 days). Anyway, gives me something to obsess about
Will be back over next few days - have been posting on wagon fb so up to speed - dds are almost hysterical with excitement )

GiraffeYoga · 13/07/2010 07:41

Morning

Sorry you are feeling poorly Gruff. Im sure you will be better for sunday.

Diege- sorry for AF and shortened cycle.... hopefully your body is warming up ready for something significant. Glad you enjoyed the riding though.

Think we might have #3 in our NCT group pregnant! She wouldnt say anything but went red and was all quiet when we normally discuss it every time.. will see if anything is confessed in the weeks to come.

working at home today. I REALLY have to get back in gear following my holiday so please tell me off if you see me here.

Good luck with the scripts Diege.
