OK so i know its a few months away but who cares!

So heres to US and our BABIES!!
May our bumps grow and our tiredness reduce.
May our beans Kick and our nurseries be sorted!
May our scans be amazing and our remaining months be filled with positivity and calmness and last but not least
May we all hold our babies in our arms and be filled with unconditional love for our much wanted and treasured little miracles!

they also said that i can take the futher12 weeks as unpaid if i wanted but i would have to organise that nearer to the time. we dont get holidays or anything like that and this mat leave thing is only fairly new so i think i picked the right time to start my brood!!
il have to work out how many days iv got until my mat leave date cos itll seem like less time to wait that way!! i think iv got 14 weeks to go...

sweetheart · 15/08/2005 16:42

george, My companies policy was basic mat pay. We have had two pregnancies before mine and they both got basic pay.

I went and asked that they reconsider their policy for me and put a case together as to why I deserved it. Luckily they agreed. It was a bargaining process and we met roughly half way - I could have asked for full pay!!!

Why don't you try asking - the worst they can do is say no!!!!!

morning all
not been on past couple of days cos not a lot to say...feeling completely miserable at the moment wiht the lack of sleep as I cant even catch up. Been awak from 1-4 am then ds decided 5am was time to get up and play so feeling a little on the brink of tears as its over 3 weeks since I had a full nights sleep....or even more than 2-3hrs a night. Sorry to moan all but as I say not a lot else I can think about. Nemo kicks so hard now aswell and constantly seems to be on the go Dh has been able to feel him for a couple of weeks.

george32 · 16/08/2005 08:44

Nemo, I'm so sorry. You must be exhausted

scully · 16/08/2005 09:04

Hopefully the lack of sleep is a phase that will pass soon, Nemo. You would think it would happen a bit later in the pregnancy, when we are enormous At least when I'm tired I come to work and grump at everyone, and don't have dd to deal with........
I finally remembered the tp thing last night, and I am 8 sheets!

ninah · 16/08/2005 09:18

sorry nemo
I am tired and a bit fed up too, how this middle part drags, doesn't it!

scully · 16/08/2005 13:18

Is everyone busy today??
I'm feeling rather hormonal......lucky people I work with
Going for a walk outside now, I'm sure getting away from my desk will help!

Nemo1977 · 16/08/2005 13:47

Hi all thanks for the sympathy it helped...ds has just been asleep from 10.30-1.30 but of course the phone rang about 5 times and the bloomin builders chose then to come and dig and lay tarmac outside out house then the roller thing came so not slept...sigh feel like someone is against me..lol With the lack of sleep and the blooming starts of spd im miserable so not good company..lol

Hope everyone else is ok and promise i will stop moaning now

Nemo1977 · 16/08/2005 14:33

Bonkerz it does sort of feel real but scarey...still cant picture a little baby in the back seat..lol I actually havent put the pram down so can see it in the dining room in an attempt to make the whole thing real..lol

bonkerz · 16/08/2005 14:37

just keep pushing it around your dining room!!!
Must admit that i have taken to sitting in the newly decorated nursery and cant imagine a baby in the cot let alone breastfeeding in the chair!! What are we like??
In 6 months we will all be like, why couldnt we visualise all this!! Oh and we will still be tired!!

Hi all,
Nice buggy Nemo.

Well I've still bought nothing for the baby but I have managed to order a new bed for me & DP and have picked out a new wardrobe & bedside cabinets (so no more sleepless nights worrying about where to put clothes!). Have arranged for someone to measure up for carpet and have DP ready to sand & varnish the floor in our bedroom. I've even picked up some colour charts so the boys can decide what they want doing to their room.
Finally feel like I am getting somewhere

Off on holiday to Cornwall on Saturday and then I have another week off the following week and I can't wait. Only 6 weeks (that is 36 days) to go at work once I get back - WooHoo !!

sweetheart · 16/08/2005 17:42

Guess who passed their exams!!!!!

I'm SO CHUFFED !!!!!!!!!!!

george32 · 16/08/2005 18:45

Sh, congratulations. That is brilliant.
Does that mean you can just concentrate on giving birth in Dec now then?

Oooh, nearly forgot TP Tuesday. Just raced off to the loo & measured and I'm still 8!!

How can that be? Bonkerz I think I'm the same as you with the bump moving under my ribs as I'm struggling to bend down properly now so it must be getting bigger.

sweetheart · 16/08/2005 18:47

unfortunatly not george, I still have 1 exam left to sit. It's the first week of Dec eekkkk!!!! I'm just hoping I'm not in labour for it!!!!
