still breech Bum down legs and arms to the side and head up. Still have to see consultant next Friday. Oh well, the heartbeat and everything else was okay so that's the main thing!

Elf1981 · 01/09/2005 13:04

How many of us still have breech babies?

I'm concerned - I think that the baby has "dropped" as my bump is a lot lower than before plus my bladder is now constantly irritating me and my ribs feel a bit more pain free. If the baby has dropped in the breech position, can they still turn around??

Lexie100 · 01/09/2005 16:14

Thankfully baby no longer breech and placenta moved so things are looking up. Hope other babies move soon

Finally ordered my pushchair and car seat. We now have the count down to whether it arrives in time.

Hope all are well today. Sooo pleased it's not as hot as thought i was melting yesterday

I am interviewing a mothers help on Tuesday who will hopefully be helping me with ds1 for the first six weeks (and doing the ironing).

We can't really afford it but we can't afford for me to stop work either (I work from home). I am not too worried about qualifications as I will be here the whole time but I don't know how I am going to cope with someone else in the house at this vulnerable time when I will be barking mad probably.

It is nice to have the opportunity to worry about such things I suppose. I was really jealous of my SIL who had a maternity nurse last time for a week although the nurse in question would have made GF look like an attatchment parenting queen.

nervousmum2be · 02/09/2005 12:44

my baby is definitely still breech!

Have developed an itchy rash in the crook of my right arm following my blood test pre-anti D jab on Tuesday. I saw my GP this morning who said dhe didn't think it was anything to worry about, but it's driving me mad! This heat's definitely not helping!

Oh, and 35 weeks today

Lexie100 · 02/09/2005 13:29

I know what i had to ask: skin tags. I have now got two in my groin (to be polite) and they are quite red where they rub against my knickers. Anyone know if they can be removed or do you sit it out till after the little one in born.

mishmash2 · 02/09/2005 18:47

Well, you will never believe it.... I need to join the August thread as have beaten you all to it and gave birth last Sunday night to a gorgeous little boy called William! I was still at work so hadn't even started my maternity leave but my waters broke on Monday night (10 days ago) and so had to stay in hospital until they could induce me. They waited until Sunday so he was 34 weeks + 3 but I also had to wait for a cot in the neo natal unit and delivery suite as all were rather full! Anyway, was induced but after a while William was getting rather distressed so had an emergency c/section and out he popped absolutely perfect but rather small - 5 lbs 1 oz! Luckily was kept with me in hospital rather than in the neo natal unit and I came home on Wed night! Now getting used to the 3 hourly feeding but he is soooooooo cute! I can't believe it has happened so quickly - and that I had no time off!!!!

I'm still very keen to hear all of your news and birth annoucements so will obviously still check on you all!xx

nervousmum2be · 02/09/2005 19:11

Congratulations! You must be so happy

I'm looking foward to my arrival in the next few weeks too - i wonder which one of us will be next?!?

SusiS · 02/09/2005 19:44

omg
congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
glad you are home already and take it easy

big cuddle for william!!

BigBumpBonnie · 02/09/2005 19:49

WELL DONE!!!! Gosh I can't believe one of us has graduated already. What fantastic news and so glad you and little William are doing so well. Massive Congratulations!!!! (pity you didn't get a few weeks maternity leave rest beforehand though! )

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 02/09/2005 20:32

OMG!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Welcome to little william!

This is quite scary - we really are on the homeward stretch!

hester · 02/09/2005 20:37

mishmash!!!! Huge congratulations to you and welcome to baby William. What a shock for you - but I'm so glad all went well and he is healthy and beautiful.

Can't believe we have our first graduate - how scary and exciting is that?!

YOKEFLEET · 02/09/2005 21:12

Mishmash - congratulations on the birth of William, good to hear that you are both doing so well (scary as well as we are now all so close!!!)
Not been on online for nearly a month as we have had a move from Yorkshire to South Wales in 4 weeks flat!! I wouldn't recommend moving when you are 34 weeks pregnant!! ah well we have now been in our new home in Swansea for a week and my dh starts his new job on Monday so hopefully things will start to settle down just in time for our little bundle of joy to arrive!!!!
I was 35w last Sunday and my new mw came to see us on Monday (home visit on a bank hol, I was amazed!) seemed v. nice she did all the usual tests but has also sent me to the hospital for some blood tests and urine test(even though she checked the urine and all was fine on Monday) any ideas why? As far as I was aware all my bloods had been done in Yorkshire and she saw all my notes/results etc?
Anyway I will stop waffling on and hope to catch up with you all again soon.

Redtartanlass · 02/09/2005 21:17

grin] Congratulations Mishmash, at least you will be able to have that wee drink on your birthday now. Wasn't William due then??? Panicing now...better buy some baby stuff, ust in case!!!

shama · 03/09/2005 05:33

Hi everybody,

Congratulations Mishmash.
I still have 10 days to go before i start my maternity leave...looking forward to it.

I just realized yesterday that the left side of my tummy is slightly more bulged than the right side. Is that normal? Does it signify anything?

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 03/09/2005 07:50

Dont panic shama - it will jsut be the way the baby is laying!

Re bloods YF - i had some more taken this week - probably just routine.

Off in search of a HUGE changing bag today because with 2 kids in reusuable nappies etc my bog standard mothercare one is only just big enough for jess's stuff!

BigBumpBonnie · 03/09/2005 08:44

ooooh mishmash, i've just realised William has got the same birthday as me!!! It's a great day to have a birthday, often falls on a bank holiday weekend, the weather's usually nice and the best thing is when he starts school his birthday will be in the summer holidays (virgos are fab as well btw )

Yokefleet, glad your move went ok and good to have you back. Don't worry about blood & urine tests they are prob routine and seeing as you now come under a different authority they are probably keen to do their own tests.

Hope everyone is feeling well. I'm looking forward to going to the hospital on Friday to see what's going to happen. Just starting to realise that if Ruby's still breech I will opt for a c section which will probably take place 2 weeks after as I'll be 38 weeks, which means I could have her before the months out (then again that's not a patch on mishmash!)

nervousmum2be · 03/09/2005 10:54

Me too BBB - if i end up with a c-section, Boo will be born in 3 weeks time. Mind you, i'm convinced that He's going to put in an early appearance. Maybe i've been influenced by what my family said last week about their babies all coming earlier....only time will tell!

Finding it virtually impossible to get comfortable in bed now, even with my new long sausagey pillow. Still, all these sleepless nights must be good preparation for a few weeks time

Have a good weekend Everyone x

Piggiesmum · 03/09/2005 11:48

Congratulations Mishmash and little William.

Glad to hear you are both well and home already

YOKEFLEET · 03/09/2005 12:37

Thanks for the re-assurance ladies! I can't believe that we are heading into the last month!!

Jockey · 03/09/2005 14:37

Mishmash - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! So glad that William is ok (love the name by the way).

I am now rushing out to get the contents of my hospital bag!

mawbroon · 03/09/2005 17:17

Mishmash - just back from a week away in the highlands. Congratulations I am glad that you are both ok. Makes it seem real for me now, although I still have 8 weeks to go!

I had a very relaxing holiday and am just tempted to hand in my notice at work on Tuesday when I go back. They only want a weeks notice and I have a couple of days holiday to take which would mean I would only have to show up at the office for a couple more days.....

triceratops · 03/09/2005 19:28

Congratulations Mishmash and welcome to your little boy.

I am so jealous, I can't wait to meet my own little bundle (although if she takes after her brother she will be huge and late).

Joseyjo · 04/09/2005 10:13

congratulations mishmash!!!

i have finished work now and have been soo busy that i haven't had a chance to log in. shall we add a column to the stats thread with actual birthdays, weight etc? let me know if we fancy it.
also, i have been given a date for my c-section - 21st September. I am soooo excited. terrified as well, obviously, but mostly looking forward to it. i am now frantically washing everything and i suppose i am now allowed to make up the cot soon. i still don't have a single nappy in the house, but they are supposed to be delivered next week!! it doesn't seem feasible somehow that two weeks on wednesday i am going to be holding a baby!!
anyway, will stop raving like a mad person and go and eat more.... seems to be my favourite occupation at the moment.

ooh also meant to say - i am having SOOO many braxton-hicks. every time i stand-up, sit down, lie down, bend-over etc etc i get a rockhard bump that i can't bend over and that makes me breathless. i have checked that it is not a problem with the mw, but blimey it is restrictive. anyone else have this problem?!!!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 04/09/2005 11:39

This is getting all a bit scary now! Need to pack my hospital bag this week in case anything happens mid-move as knowing my luck could possibly happen if i dont pack a bag!

Hope im back online pretty sharpish after the move so i can keep up to date with all these births!
