Meggy - so so cute

Has anyone else's LO who's further along than me, 35 weeks today, still been breach at this point and turned on their own. I read online that if you haven't turned by 36 weeks there is only a 2% chance of doing so and am getting really worried. An elective cs is my worst nightmare.

CSWS, LaTrucha - have you had anymovement yet?

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/05/2010 22:17

CS my worst nightmare too NGUE, though em prob worse than elective! No movement yet, but had moxibustion today with acupuncturist, and now have moxa stick which she says to use a couple of times a day for 10 days (though to stop if I feel baby turn obv!). My consultant was v relaxed about being breech at 34 weeks, but I guess it's not him who'll end up with the c-sec if it stays that way!

Lovely pics meggy - thanks for sharing .

MrsAR - bought rasp leaf tablets ready, and plan to start taking them in the next few days. No idea if they actually help or not, but I figure it can't do any harm to try!

Thanks runawaywife . Though I can't remember who actually came up with it.

Whoever asked about ages of existing dc, my dd is 4.3 and ds 19 months.

We need our stats ladies to sort another update soon!

j0807bump · 26/05/2010 22:22

meggy jimmy is gorgeous. well done

woofie you're moving too? i hate it we've got to be out the last weekend june. it's not as if we can try and get routine together then as our new place has hit a delay and we've got to squeeze into parents for a few weeks

thanks to all on DC 1-2 advice. we had a bit of a rubbish day today. DS seems so angry at the moment and mainly with me

only time for a quick catch up. gonna get early night as have to get DS to pre school 25 miles away by 9.00 and then back to the hospital for my pre op

NotGrownUpEnough · 26/05/2010 22:31

csws - let me know what happens, i've tried to find someone that practices it in my neck of the woods but am struggling. I've tried everything else though and still nothinf. Stubborn little monkey

MrsAR - I've started on the rasberry leaf tea capsules a few days ago and am not feeling any different, been having BH quite often anyway. I'm taking two capsules a day at the mo, and am going to rise to four next week. I'll let me know if i feel any different.

justbeme · 26/05/2010 22:40

Hi - I don't think the raspberry leaf tea made any difference last time round. O was still 11 days overdue, same as with DD1.

Can someone remind me when to start taking Arnica tablets please?

My Homebirth is looking less likely. The Midwife has said that when in labour Im to phone her and she'll come to my house to assess me, but I'm prob better off in hospital (due to the position of the fibroid) - she's happy to come too and will deliver the baby there. She's put on my notes for continuty of care due to my bad birth experience last time. However, she's got holiday coming up - so I need to get this baby moving in the next 6 days!!

justbeme · 26/05/2010 22:43

NGUE - can't remember if you've tried the inversions on the spinning baby website?? It seemed to help my one at about 36 weeks. I did "headstands" as shown on the you tube video for a few mins at a time off the settee or a toddler bed, maybe 4 or 5 a day for 2 - 3 days.

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/05/2010 22:46

Arnica 30c tablets - 2 a day 10 days before due date and 7-10 after the birth. Plus lots during labour itself!

NotGrownUpEnough · 26/05/2010 22:49

Thanks Justbeme, i've been trying them everyday. & the birthing ball, & walking, and some other things that certainly would be too much information if i told you

NotGrownUpEnough · 26/05/2010 22:50

what are the arnica tablets for? not heard of them before birth, though they were for healing after cs?

Saucepanman · 27/05/2010 00:05

mampam that's so crap, I am really sorry

I got home today, had my 3rd c-section monday- my 1st without complications, though still touching wood as I say that! Baby Gabriel was born at 10.09am on monday 24th may weighing 8lb 4oz, my biggest of the 4. He still looks weeny though! He's adorable, I am totally smitten and can't stop smiling. Off to bed now to feed him, will write more tomorrow or next few days.

congrats to greensnail on Alice Elizabeth's arrival

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/05/2010 07:38

Arnica is to prevent bruising and promote healing NGUE, for any 'injury', not just cs (jockeys use it quite a bit too!). V helpful with a natural birth IMO/E.

Congratulations on Gabriel's safe arrival saucepanman . Same weight as my ds was, and he was my smallest yet!

meggymegmegs · 27/05/2010 08:40

Congratulations saucepanman, am loving the name Gabriel. Glad the c-section was better than your others . Sounds like you're completely loved up, delighted for you!

NizzyNoodles · 27/05/2010 08:48

Congratulations saucepanman on the safe arrival of Garbriel!

NotGrownUpEnough · 27/05/2010 08:53

Comgratulations saucepanman....what a beautiful name!

LittleRobbo · 27/05/2010 09:18

Many congratulations saucepanman

RnB · 27/05/2010 09:25

Congrats Saucepanman!!!

I'm getting all emotional hearing about all these babies

Me next PLEASE

MonkeyMargot · 27/05/2010 09:47

Well done saucepanmam! Great weight and great name too!!

Another homeopathic thing to try is Clary sage oil to help kick things off. I think you add a few drops to your bath. It doesn't smell all that nice though....

CSWS I am thinking of booking in to see acupuncturist to help prevent an induction. DH is seeing one at moment, and I'm considering it. He says it is really relaxing .

AlwaysHopeful · 27/05/2010 10:00

Is this all correct? Please feel free to change or add schecduled CS dates in if you like...

LaTrucha · 27/05/2010 10:35

Mosrning ladies, and welcome to the world baby Gabriel. Lovely name.

Meggy - Jimmy is gorgeous. If you don't mind me saying, he reminds me of DD at that age. Same wide-awake look.

I would take Arnica or Raspberry leaf but I feel so sick and my tummy is very upset that the thought of swallowing anything I don't have to is not welcome. I'm sure they're great!

Baby boy is turning his little tummy room upside down constantly, so I have no idea where he will end up. I thikn he keeps lifting his head to turn transverse, but I really hope not. Thanks for asking NGUE. DD turned from engaged and cephalic at 37 weeks, so I guess there is always hope (and the reverse, which is why you'll find me on all fours a lot!)

Totally sick most of the time now and not expecting it to go away really. Ho hum.

On my last ante-natal thread I was one of the first to have my baby. On this one, it looks like I'll be amongst the last. You ladies are going to have to put up with a very impatient LaTrucha, I'm afraid!

MrsAlwaysRight · 27/05/2010 11:47

Congratulations saucepanman love his name!

Had 38 week appointment with Dr today. All seems ok with baby. Still head down. Dr guessing it is a boy which is what the Midwife guessed at the last appointment - we shall see! Have definately got Carpal Tunnel Syndrome so am now sporting a very fetching wrist splint!

I used Arnica with DD1 and think it definately helped with recovery (had episiotomy). Will be getting some this time as well. Going to give the Raspberry Leaf tablets another go this afternoon and see if it has same effect!

goodname · 27/05/2010 11:52

Congratulations Saucepanman
Meggy your baby is gorgeous, thanks for putting photos up, I really cant wait to meet mine now. I like the name Jimmy too, he suits it.
Suzy hope yr dodgy stomach leads to labour, mine is still dodgy (and I have period like cramps) but no sigbs of labour sadly.

herewegrow · 27/05/2010 12:29

Congratulations Saucepanman

Mampam good luck for tomorrow!!

MrsDmamee · 27/05/2010 12:31

congrats Saucepanman and welcome baby Gabriel.

is it my turn yet feel like june 29th will never arrive and im sure it will be more than likely july before my LO appears!

Summerhols · 27/05/2010 13:15

Hello June ladies. I am enjoying reading about the new arrivals and hearing about the new little ones. Hope everyone who is still due are feeling OK and not too uncomfortable as we get towards the end!

I am now freaking out slightly. As a first time Mum I think I have been slightly in denial about what is about to happen! Please reasure me that I am not the only one or completely mad to only just start realising that a) I have to give birth and b) afterwards I will have a baby to care for!

Do not feel prepared at all...think I will go rearrange things about in the baby's room to make me feel like I am doing something proactive!

roundabout1 · 27/05/2010 13:42

Saucepanman - congratulations - love the name

summerhols - you are not alone, this will be my 2nd & yet I feel less prepared than for my first. Have defintely been in denial. People keep saying oh you must be so excited & I feel bad as that's one emotion I don't feel. Don't get me wrong I do so want this baby but it just doesn't seem real enough to get excited about.

Does anyone else's baby keep engaging & then popping out again. Apparently it's common with 2nd or more pregnancies but it's so uncomfortable. Keep thinking at least the discomfort is getting somewhere & then baby just pops right back up again & I'm back to having the heartburn again.
