CSWS - did you see this?

Still forever and forever even until my due date. Tired, heavy, you all know the score.....

Congratualtions on the new arrivals!

MillyMollyMoo · 19/06/2010 17:13

Hello June Mummies/Mums2B

Just caught up on all the new babies, congratulations to everyone, beautiful names too.
My little fella arrived a day early on the 14th, feeding beautifully and we're all smitten.
Take care and lots of baby out vibes to those still waiting xxx

myhandslooksoold · 19/06/2010 18:41

Hello
Congratulations to all the new mummies- I've really enjoyed reading your stories.
Its my due date today so really hoping it won't be long- can't sit very easily with the bump pressing on my legs!
We had a nice family day- went out to a gorgeous restaurant for a tasty lunch and then spent the afternoon together- even doing the supermarket shopping was enjoyable (!?)
So me, DH, DD and DS are all now chilling and occasionally shouting "come on Connie it's time to come out!!!"

roundabout1 · 19/06/2010 20:22

Congrats sunwoshipper & playftse - I love hearing the news of these lovely new babies.

I can't believe Lauren is a week old, think the hormones & tiredness is taking it's toll as feeling particularly teary last night & today. Last night kept thinking this time last week I was in labour etc & unlike with dd1's birth when I relived each drawn out hour of it as it was only 2.5 hrs I was sad that I couldn't do it again. Makes me sound a bit of a loon probably but it felt so natural compared to last time it makes me feel that's what my purpose is as a woman but dp says def no more babies! Yesterday had to go back to the hospital for Lauren to have more bloods taken. I have anti e antibodies & they have affected her so having regular bloods taken to check anaemia & jaundice levels. It felt really good to be back there even though it was a different ward. I had such a positive birth experience & staying in 3 nights never came across any problems. It makes such a pleasant change from my previous hospital experiences.
My nipples are sore now too, thought it was all going too well. Lauren sleeps most of the day but is awake pretty much hourly/half hourly in the night. When I'm tired & feeding I probably don't perservere for the best position & latching on & in the daytime I'm waking her up to feed her & she struggles to latch on then at all, so not surprising that my nipples are sore. Will have to make more of an effort re positioning tonight.

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/06/2010 20:52

I hadn't spotted it LaT, so thanks for pointing it out .

Congratulations MillyMollyMoo - do you want to share any more details (name, weight, how the birth went etc)?

chestnut100 · 19/06/2010 21:08

Daisy Belle born at 17.02 on Wed 16th, weighing in at 6lb14oz. Induction began at 9am due to waters going the day before, epidural in by 10, pushing by 4pm (after a few touch and go C-Section moments when baby had some scary heart decelerations), and out in the world by 5. She is gorgeous and we are settling at home. persevering with the breast feeding, although finding it hard going, and very painful! Had a fairly bad tear, so the pain from the stitches are not helping my over all mood, but generally totally in love with my baby! I can't believe she is mine and that I don't have to give her back to anyone

Congrats to all the other new mummies; hope all those still waiting are keeping in good spirits?

AlwaysHopeful · 20/06/2010 08:48

Please can I have some breastfeeding advice?

Have put a thread on here One full breast and one empty one - HELP!

gaelicsheep · 20/06/2010 09:37

Baby girl, Robin, born yesterday am.. 6 ib 14 oz. Only just got to hospital before started pushing and born 20 mins later! More detaiils when home.

madamefreckle · 20/06/2010 10:42

Hello everyone and congratulations to all with new bundles! - I haven't had a proper catch up yet but can't wait to read through all your posts when I have a bit more time.

After my induction on 16th, I FINALLY had my little girl on the 17th (16 days late) - ended up being a water birth and everything went swimmingly! She is called Emma and we are totally besotted. She was 6lb 6oz and is feeding like a trooper to make up for lost time.

Only negatives are my boobs are like bombs and I feel like i have, at least temporarily, lost DS. He is quite non-plussed by Emma and is just tending to stay away from us completely. Hopefully things will settle down soon.

GibberingGinger · 20/06/2010 13:57

Congratulations on all the new arrivals. Hope I got the updates correct.

Anyone got any suggestions on a new thread title?

Alwayshopeful, hope you get some good advice, I'm sure there are lots of people on the feeding threads who can help.

fillybuster · 20/06/2010 15:12

Massive congratulations to playftse, chestnut100, gaelicsheep, earlyonemorning and madamefreckle ! Phew, what a lot of babies, all at once!!

Did the whole castor oil and curry thing but still no indication from fillyflump that it is remotely interested in coming out....lots of cheerleading from the dcs and dh ("more flump less bump" struck us as fairly catchy ) but all to no avail.

So am fairly resigned to being induced tomorrow morning at 41 wks - they would let me go longer if I asked but I don't really see the point as the baby is approx 8lbs 7oz already and firmly back to back and unlikely to move - so leaving it longer would just make it even harder to get the baby out. Plus, I'm now fairly resigned to the fact that I'll end up on the labour ward anyway, so there's not too much point in arguing about starting off there....

Shame though, as I was rather hoping #3 would be factionally easier than numbers 1 & 2

Hey ho....

New thread title suggestion: June babies have started to pop, who will be the last to drop?

goodname · 20/06/2010 16:05

Wow things have been really busy on here. Congrats on all the new arrivals. Nice to hear another Fergus has come along. Hope the induction goes well tomorrow Filly.
Very jealous of anyone getting 5 hours sleep at night. I seem to average about 4 per night but not all in one go. Also have completely given up trying to get Fergus into his own bed. I do put him down in his moses basket during the day when I do not care so much if he wakes up and sometimes he sleeps fine in it. Took him to the cranial osteopath on Friday and his wind/colickyness have improved hugely since then. He seems much more contented and have not had much screeching in the night since then. He is also feeding better from both sides now.
Last week he managed to put on 13oz and he has grown 7 cm in the 3 weeks since his birth so am slightly worried I am going to create a giant baby monster, nice to know he is thriving tho.
GG amazed you have time to update the stats on here with twins and a DD too look after. Does your DH have a lot of time off work to help you out? If you need a hand sometime, maybe I could help as I only have 1? Feel quite lazy compared to you really
Was really dreading DH going back to work last week but it was fine in the end, did not get much done but did get out of the house a little bit each day and get some washing done. Its amazing what constitutes an achievement when you have a newborn.
Poor DH has put his back out moving furniture yesterday and is now sadly not much use as he cannot lift the baby which is rubbish, also I have to look after him and the baby too.
Hope all the new Mums are doing well and getting some sleep, but hope you are not all getting more sleep than me

MonkeyMargot · 20/06/2010 16:08

Quick birth announcement!
Twin boys arrived 17-06-10.
Atticus Fox born at 14:26pm weighing 7lb 8oz and Rafferty Bear at 14:47pm weighing 7lb 14oz. 2 big boys!
All went really well - 6 hour labour and normal delivery!
More soon
xxx

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/06/2010 17:57

Congratulations madamefreckle, gaelicsheep, chestnut and monkeymargot!

Monkeymargot your boys have such amazing names! Atticus and Rafferty both fall into the category of names that I would love to use but would probably never quite have the nerve to. I did suggest both to dh though, just in case he was up for it! Fabulous weights and hurrah for a normal delivery .

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/06/2010 17:59

Just told dh the names of your boys and dd (age 4) overheard, and said that she would call them Foxy and Beary .

Summerhols · 20/06/2010 18:01

Congrats to all the new births, wow there are lots! All the names are lovely too, what good taste we all have

Good luck Filly for tomorrow, I am sure all will go well and I will look forward to seeing your birth announcement soon.

My DH and I went crazy in the garden this morning, weeding, chopping back and then decided to knock down a wall. Diversion tactics to take our mind off over due baby. However I have since been getting mild twinges so fingers crossed all that activity has helped things get started. Though I am doubtful.

I wonder if anyone has given birth on fathers day? That would be nice, I had gone to the effort of getting a fathers day card for DH - so unless baby shows up in the next 6 hours it will be stored for next year.

GibberingGinger · 20/06/2010 20:02

Wow, MonkeyMargot, you have done amazingly to produce such great sized babies! That is almost 16 lbs of baby. And a natural birth as well - I am in awe.

Goodname, don't know how I find time, but SCBU put the twins in a 3 hour routine (they SO do not do baby lead feeding in that place) and I've kept them in it. One advantage of being stuck in there for 2 weeks . I'm still only getting about 4-5 hours sleep at night though as well. Just takes ages to feed them both, and then DD is up early in the morning. Cheers for the offer of help, I think I'm fine at the moment but I'll maybe eat those word when DH goes back to work on Wed.

Filly, good luck with the induction tomorrow. Some people seem to have had quite good induction experiences on here, so hopefully yours will stick with the trend!

Next thread to be called JUNE BABIES HAVE STARTED TO POP, WHO WILL BE THE LAST TO POP? Will go set it up now. Thanks Filly

bubs1 · 20/06/2010 20:03

Oh my god, cantsleepwont sleep - 5 days! I thought the point of induction was to get it out! Did they just do the stages slowley then??

GibberingGinger · 20/06/2010 20:08

last few messages only - new thread at JUNE BABIES HAVE STARTED TO POP, WHO WILL BE THE LAST TO POP?

roundabout1 · 20/06/2010 20:10

Congratulations monkeymargot - love the names & 2 really good weights - you must have felt huge in the last few weeks carrying that weight around.

Congrats also to earlyonemorning, madamefreckle & gaelicsheep - sounds like you had a similar birth to me - pushing when got to labour ward, dd born less than 30 mins later.

filly - sorry to hear the castor oil didn't work, hope it wasn't too awful trying it. Good luck for tomorrow, at least the waiting will be over then x

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/06/2010 20:26

Thanks for the new thread Ginger - just linking to it here.

NEW THREAD

bubs - they tried 4 or 5 lots of pessaries over the course of the first 3 days, which did approximately nothing, then I had to wait 36 hours for there to be a room free in delivery for them to break my waters (was a busy month, but then this month seems to be too!), and then I didn't want to rush onto the drip, so when nothing happened after 4 hours of dancing around the delivery suite, I went back to the ward for the night, and then went back to delivery for the drip the next morning. I had ds just over 3 hours after starting the drip, with my official labour being classed as just 1 hour 10 mins!!

bubs1 · 27/06/2010 19:34

Update: Little girl born 22/6/10, 7lbs 14. No name still!
