stac is it called mother and baby? The one I get is called pregnancy and birth as thats more relevant at the mo!

stac14 · 17/05/2010 18:15

yeah its mother and baby but has the same as contents pregnancy and birth, just if your lookin for something to read. I read 3 different ones

OP posts:
DesperateHousewife21 · 17/05/2010 18:20

Oh right I see I thought mother and baby would be geared more towards once baby is born. Ill have a flick through when I next go to tesco. I dont blame you reading 3 different ones, I love them and always read them in the waiting room when I see the mw too!

stac14 · 17/05/2010 18:28

there is baby stuff too but nothing wrong with extra tips.

I've had one of those freaking out days were it seems to hit you that your going to have a baby soon lol. Dont get me wrong i'm excited but nervous. Also a fair few bh's today, should i be worried? X

I'm shattered after a long day at work! Going to finish 2 weeks on wednesday! counting down the hours i think!

Thanks for all the support regarding last night's bathroom incident! Glad i'm not alone yes i was at home and even better DH was at work so doesn't ever have to know! Don't know why i don't want him to- suppose i feel unattractive enough with out adding to it! Although i have shared every other gorey detail

stac sorry to hear you've been having a bad day... i think we all have them- its going to be life changing! I find it quite overwhelming at times! with regards to the BHs- i've been getting them quite regularly, had 4 tonight that i can think of, they are uncomfortable and more frequent but not sore- spoke to MW in hospital about them and she said only to worry if they get painful. she wasn't concerned about frequency or length.

memphis you crazy lady! i'm sure bed rest doesn't involve trips round asda??? start taking it easy or we'll have to come round there and make you! lol!

MLIC whats the pram service?

TSC what happened with at the pool? i missed that story!

becky i think as this is my 2nd i wouldnt feel so overwhelmed or is that wishful thinking lol. Im glad you feel better and understand you not wanting dh to know bout what happened. Dp and i went to asda and when i got home he said i had leaked, i had sneezed and wet myself. I was so embaressed. One of the side effects of pregnancy all the books and people dont tell you.

dh i'm wondering if i should change my due date to 14th as thats when c-s is, what do you think? X

Thanks MLIC never like not knowing things! I can't wait to find out about all the local groups etc to meet mums as none of my friends have kids. Just need to find out about TSCs pool incident then i can sleep-lol! Was that your first time there?

oh stac that sounds awful! lots have people have told me it'll happen but doesn't make it any easier when it comes to your own dignity! going to work my pelvic floors like crazy from now on!!!

DH thanks for doing that- I always like to look at when everyone is due and where they are from! nosey!

memphis83 · 17/05/2010 21:53

becky i know i shouldnt have gone but was thinking as dh was with me i would be ok but ive learnt my lesson now! im also waiting for tsc to tell about swimming incident!!!
stac i think everyone is going to be having leak problems, there is a girl i know of that thought her water had broke as she had been dribbling for 2 hours, she went to hospital and they smelt her trousers as waters apparently have a certain odour to then be told it was wee and that the baby was lying on a muscle that was stopping her hold it in! i dont know who would be more mortified her or the midwife that smelt her trousers the worst part is im actually friends with her dh and it was him who told the story like it wasnt humiliating enough for her!!!

stac14 · 17/05/2010 22:10

becky i dont usually leak, think lo is pressing against my bladder so when i sneeze the baby bounces off it and some comes out. Its a riddy lol

memphis i've heard of that, it was on obem apparantly it smells sweet. Lovely subject lol. Take it, its back to bed for you? X

tsc I have just nearly choked on my toast laughing and my pelvic floor was certainly not strong enough to cope with that! Have you been back since?

Went to my 3rd NCT class last night and one of the couples were not there as they had their baby at the weekend. She was due on 3rd July.....eek! He was a good size though, 5lb 1oz and all are ok but freaked me out! I now think that I need to finish getting sorted! I think I'll do my bag this week when I was going to leave it until 35 weeks.

Haven't had any boob leakage though had a random pain on Sunday which made me yelp. Dh came running asking what the matter was and all I could say was "it feels like a crab clamped my nipple" it was really quite painful for only about 30 seconds. Random.

I have to get my arse in gear and get to work! Have a good day ladies x

memphis83 · 18/05/2010 09:17

stac yes back to resting for me, i also saw that on obem and i was a bit horrified that they smelt her trousers on there too!
tsc oh that is brilliant! poor you, i love your dp's reaction mouthing your minge!! your a brave lady staying at the pool for swim session!!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 18/05/2010 09:52

stac yeah you could change your date, as its a planned c-sec you know it'll def happen on that day no matter what.

becky no probs! Im very nosey too lol.

Ive bought a birthing ball off ebay, its lilac and comes with a pump and got it for about £8. Looking forward to bouncing around on that soon!

A friend of mine gave birth to a BEAUTIFUL baby boy yesterday afternoon. They have named him Finley and he was 6lb. Her mum (DP's dad's partner) sent us a pic message last night and he really is such a lovely sweet baby. It makes me even more excited to have my LO.

Jojobil · 18/05/2010 10:14

Good morning Just got back from school drop off - it's a good 20 + minute walk and towards the end I was like a duck! I wonder how much longer I will last My pelvis was killing me and I had to hold my back with my hand. I am really really huge now. I am putting a new picture of bump as it's unbelievable! I am size 10-12 normally! 33 weeks today

Got a little baby sponge, brush and nail clippers on the way back.

DesperateHousewife21 · 18/05/2010 10:28

jojo lovely bump pic!

Ill take another one of mine later and put it up. You can all tell me if you can see the difference!

stac14 · 18/05/2010 12:58

tsc that was hilarious and your very brave to have put it on here lmao. Think my dp would leave me sitting there and said nothing. The worse i have done is put washing powder in the fridge but i found it before anyone had seen.

jojo i can't see your pic at the mo, this is playing up. Have you been given date of your section?

memphis i'd be the same if i was to stay in bed. In fact due to my pelvis dp is making me rest, i havent sat in the sitting for the past week. Its bloody head doing!

dh yeah i might change it. Good bargain hun, when will you get it? My neighbour had a baby girl and shes totally gorgeous

firerise i feel totally unprepared too, need to get my hospital bag sorted. Everyone keeps saying i'm going to go early and i'm bricking it lol

Hows everyone else today? X

OP posts:
Jojobil · 18/05/2010 13:16

stac the Head Consultant said at 39 weeks so it would be around the 29th of June Just 6 weeks away. I am having another meeting on the 15th of June and will confirm the date then. It's all happening!
My hospital bag is all packed, appart from my going back home clothes, toiletries and slippers. I'll have to wash babies things before too. Everything is ready from cot, changing table etc... And I have sorted a nanny to pick DD fro school in July too. We are all set and organised But I guess we will be one of the first to have our LO?

memphis83 · 18/05/2010 13:53

stac lol at powder in the fridge i boiled the kettle this morning and poured it over my cheerios rather than in the mug!!! maybe it was payback for laughing at tsc's thread!!!
jojo love the bump pic!!!
dh that is a good bargain ive got a ball in the shed i think its about time i got mine out, as ive got this wedding in june i needed a dress and with being ill i didnt want to spend £40 on dress in case LO is early so i got one on ebay from next still with £40 tag on and i got it with postage for £10 so i can splash out on a nice top and shoes that i can wear after as well, i love a good bargain!
we have bought one of those mini basinette travelcots for at mums house but we will have it here in living room for 1st couple of weeks i put it up last night so our dog can get used to it and then put a toy and blanket in it and my dh thought i had gone completely mad!!! maybe i haveim not sure

stac14 · 18/05/2010 13:54

think it is you jojo unless anyone goes early lol it's so exciting. Wish i was as organised as you. I need to get a move on x
