DesperateHousewife21 · 15/05/2010 16:30

Hi all,

I feel v lazy, I havent done anything today except the food shopping with DP. We came home, had lunch, he was watching the F1 on tv and I fell asleep for 2 hours.

I felt v strange in the supermarket though, quite faint and light headed, I think it was because I had eaten breakfast about 3 hours before going and nothing else

Still waiting for your bump photos ladies, mines so old now I might post another, more upto date one!

Gracie123 · 15/05/2010 17:07

Mmmmmmm..... we had gyspy toast a couple of days ago. DS loves it. The trick to making it delicious is to add lots of vanilla and pumpkin pie spice. Yummiest breakfast ever!

Hello everyone!

I finally got out of the house and got to the shops - honestly the first time I've been shopping in over 3 months. It's a bit of an effort to get to shops from here so it's a big thing! DD spent the whole time on DH's back going 'ook! ook!' at absolutely everything! I picked up the moses basket too - it's so cute, this one.

I think I'm going to start sorting my hospital bag and then go to bed and catch some zzzzz's.

Good night!

DesperateHousewife21 · 15/05/2010 21:34

chulita that moses basket is lovely and well done on getting to the shops!

Wonderstuff · 15/05/2010 22:08

Anifersgirl you really don't need to worry about this LO - the risk with Rh- is that antibodies will develop which would be a threat to future pregnancies, obv. if you are planning on anymore its important you get the jab. I'm very certain this is my last preganancy so refused antiD at 28 weeks.

V.funky moses basket chulita

Went to Toys r Us today with dd - OMG I've never seen her so excited - got her a new playdoh set - her old stuff had all dried out and it keeps her occupied for hours.

Babes is really active this evening my tummies wriggling all over the place.

Had restless legs last night - going to try to cut out all caffine - including chocolate after 2pm, see if I can stop it - had it loads with my last pregnancy - just horrid

Wonderstuff · 16/05/2010 07:44

Morning all - looks like a nice day out today. DH is really down today - he is so worried about his mum and dad and not doing well at work so far this month (I could not do sales, such a rollercoaster). Amy torn between getting him to empty the storage unit as planned (which is costing a fortune and money is gonna get tight really soon) or saying sod it lets go to the farm or something, try to cheer him up. I hate seeing him so down and I know me being a bit crap about being pregnant isn't exactly helping - wish I was one of those people who just bloomed and sailed through the whole thing.

Whats everyone else planning on doing today?

beckyg123 · 16/05/2010 09:28

Morning!
Feels like i've been away for ages! Still quite sore after my fall down the stairs. Ended up calling maternity on friday as started getting pain up side of bump and accross my back- they took my in and did a trace. It was so reassuring to listen to baby for 30 mins and let the MWs decide that bump and i were fine! since then baby has never been so active! think i must have knocked s/he out of their comfy position and now its constant wriggling to get back i love sitting watching my belly move

chulita i love the bedding from boots! so bright and cheerful!

wonder i think i will really enjoy playing playdoh more than LO! used to sit for hours with my mum! sure she used to make it herself? Hope you manage to cheer your DH up today!

I'm having a quite day today just pottering- might make a lemon cake

Gracie123 · 16/05/2010 09:51

Becky home made play doh is really easy to make, and there are plenty of recipes online. Never feels quite as nice as the real thing though, and it makes your hands really dry (too much salt). It is cheap though...

DesperateHousewife21 · 16/05/2010 10:28

Morning everyone,

DP and I are going to my mums after watching F1, then on to his dads for dinner this evening.

31 weeks today! have been re-reading the mumsnet preg book. I read the whole book before I was even pregnant so have been going back through the relevant bits and started reading the 3rd trimester section last night and have been reading up on pain relief for the birth and all the funny stories from other MNetters.

I think DP and I have also agreed on the middle name James for LO. SO he will be Dylan James ooh I like it alot more seeing it written down!

wonder going to the farm sounds like a fun plan! Hope you manage to cheer your DH up somehow though, its horrible seeing them miserable.

becky YUM lemon cake! Might have to save me a piece of that

Wonderstuff · 16/05/2010 10:51

Lemon cake sounds like the business - I'm so suggestable with food at the moment - minute something is mentioned I want it. Raining now so going to do boring storage, will feel better for having it done though.
Our nursery do homemade playdough, is a nightmare to get off shoes! My mum says she couldn't buy it ready made when we were little.

DH Dylan James is a lovely name. We have toyed with Dylan, and Griff and Danny.. I want to wait til lo arrives to make a decision (which could be a recipe for disaster we'll see) I couldn't get used to dd's name when she was born, called her baby girl for months and months

beckyg123 · 16/05/2010 12:30

well girls, cakes out the oven- will i put the kettle on? everyone welcome
Smells great!

Yeh i do remember the salty hands from the playdoh! and the were always funky colours coz she put food colouring in it!

DH i'm a week ahead of you and 32 weeks today! I'm in awe at how far we have come and its slowly dawning on me that this might actually happen for us! I loved reading my book at the begining and couldn't wait for another week to be over so i could read the next bit- TBH i haven't read it for ages now! might sit down with a cuppa and cake later and have a read!

DesperateHousewife21 · 16/05/2010 13:05

Thanks wonder I really love the name, just hope it suits him, Im sure he will grow into it as they say!

becky Im the same, Ive got into the routine of reading the relevant week in Emma's Diary every Sun morning, then checking baby centre and askamum.com when I turn the laptop on! Then through the week all the various baby clubs Ive signed up to send me an email about what LO is doing this week

Firerise · 16/05/2010 15:31

Hello!

Becky All this talk of cake has made me seriously jealous. I think I might ask dh if he will go to the shop and buy me some!!

Really like Dylan James dh, it has a lovely ring to it.

Not a lot to report here other than total lack of sleep due to a really sore point at the top of my ribs and evil heartburn.

We've been convinced for months that we're having a boy and for no particular reason we have both changed our minds this week.

Yay, dh is putting his shoes on to go and get cake so I had better put the kettle on!

X

beckyg123 · 16/05/2010 16:01

Enjoy your cake firerise mine was great! even have enough to take some into work tomorrow

DH i love the name- we hadn't even started thinking about middle names! Tried to ask DH about it earlier but he just shook his head and said we have plenty of time to decide! typical man!

Chulita · 16/05/2010 16:22

Hmm...cake! I would make one but we've got rhubarb crumble leftovers in the fridge so that'll have to do. Definitely going to make custard with it tonight though.

DH has decided that with all my dizzy spells I'm now no longer allowed to drive. It's not a bad idea because they do come completely out of the blue and I have to have a sleep to sort me out. He's going to sell our little run-around and use the family car to get to work...anyone would think he didn't trust me! Trouble is it leaves me stuck in the middle of nowhere - the only place to go is a car spares shop or the thrift shop...I'm going to go mad! Good thing we're moving in a few months. I'm going to tell him to get lifts every now and then so DD and I can go and feed the ducks or something. I am irritated though cos I hate not being able to go places

DD has this thing for maracas at the moment, quite an annoying sound after a while!

memphis83 · 16/05/2010 16:43

hello ladies, im back from my stay at mums i slept til 1am then was up all night so im very tired!!!
all this talk of lovely food, we're having a chinese later as a treat im too zapped to cook!!
dh i love the name! has a nice ring to it, its so hard to think of a name while hormonal when you know he will have that name for life one of the names i like a few people say its too 'ethnic', ive just resorted to calling them small minded racists! (the name is otis by the way)
chulita i feel your pain with the no driving, my doc has stopped me and its driving me mad as we moved further from my family so im stranded when dh is at work! i love the moses basket! i want some unusual blankets and sheets but im struggling to find them, i bought a blanket fron mamas and papas but it was £30 so i wont be buying more!
talking about week by week diaries i used to lie for fridays to get out to the pub but now i live for fridays as thats when my weeks go up oh how times have changed!! i like the e mails i get from hipp organic!!

stac14 · 16/05/2010 19:30

Evening all, all the cake sounds fab. I got some lovely strawberries so have put sugar over them and have lovely squirty cream, can't wait yum.

Funny you all talking about having to give up driving, the pain downstairs is getting unbearable. Seriously considering phoning the physio again, doubt theres anything she can do right enough.

How has everyone been? Had a nice day yesterday, have to order cotbed online will do it tomorrow. Just want to sleep lol. Everyone having a lovely lazy sunday night. Can't believe lo will be here 8wks on wednesday. Starting to stress bout whats to be done. dh my cousins name is dylan john sounds similar to your name both lovely. I'm not giving lo a middle name it took long enough to decide on her name lol. memphis i wouldnt have said otis is ethnic and even if it was its your decision. I like it, not that my opinion matters lol x

memphis83 · 16/05/2010 20:36

stac i agree with the name, im not bothered where the name originates, which when looking it up is europe, we also like dexter as another choice we are waiting til we see what he looks like as i keep changing my mind!! im jealous of your bump! my bump hasnt really changed in past month due to being ill and now its got scars from the laproscopy to go with it! i would be proud your bump, i feel embarrassed as i worry that people will think im small due to me not eating much to keep a figure not because ive been ill! ive just had strawberries too but now i want cake 2!!!
