snap on the belly button iggy! The top half overhangs...

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 28/04/2010 09:35

yep - dat is what I haz.... well sexy innit

skihorse · 28/04/2010 09:39

iggy hahaha but a camel toe is an integral part of the look, non? I'm not wholly convinced wrt the back-handed compliments about you "suiting the maternity look"! My bellybutton is more in than out still except when I'm lying on my back.

My jeans are still good because they sit under the bump which is bliss.

cossie Awww, bless you - Artie's not going anywhere for a while though - especially not in red cycling shorts - and especially if she's got a cock.

CurlyCasper · 28/04/2010 09:43

iggs 'tis a source of much amusement for husband. Weirdo.

Off to find food.

OP posts:
VoilaAnotherGimlet · 28/04/2010 09:46

re bellybuttons - that means your baby is cooked!

Sorry for flying visit yesterday - it's that special time of year beloved by accountants where several weeks of work gets crammed into two weeks or so. I heart my job.

Actually I find it hard to think about anything properly at the moment and am quite often off with the fairies trying to imagine this time next year instead. Which ironically may well be the time when I'm longing to come back to work....

Anyway, just wanted to say hellooo as should press on - we are Going Out tonight which is Very Grown Up and Exciting. Just hope I am still awake at 9.30 unlike last night.....

carrotsarenottheonlyvegetable · 28/04/2010 09:48

Good link pony!!!

My tummy button is lost in the folds of my fat belly. Nice.

Maternity clothes - my Bounty book says in week 27 I may be getting to the stage of having to wear maternity clothes. FFFFS. I've been trying to buy nursing tops for maternity wear but mostly I've now grown out of them even though they're loose in the belly.

mas I understand the but what's the point - you want to give birth under a bush? The facilities are there, sort of, so use them and don't be embarassed - you're there to try to improve things for people and that's what counts.

Baby has turned round - back to back I think - as my bump's gone soft and soggy. Or I've eaten too much ice cream!

cos your baby will leave you and get a job, certainly. And not a moment too soon I promise .

Poor little LC had to come home early from school yesterday with a HUGE bump to the head from falling in the playground. I've never seen such an egg. He's also bumped his poor little nose. Close watching last night led me to decide no problems as such (perfectly aware etc, no headaches, vomiting, eye problems) but reminded me that now's a good time to consider a first aid course for babies and children? I did one at school and always remember the thing about waking a person with a head injury after a few hours of them going to bed to check they're alert and ok following a story where a child had died of a slow bleed having been put to bed after badly bumping their head. Not sure that LC could be said to be "alert" at 11pm last night but he was certainly pretty miffed at being woken up!

iggypiggy · 28/04/2010 09:54

ski in theory the non stretchy bit sits under the bump too... but it = fail at the mo... and re: backhanded compliments - I fink they are really saying my normal clothes are shit

cossie Am even freaking out at idea of nursey/ childcare when have to go back to work... nothing as far ahead as leaving home!

iggypiggy · 28/04/2010 09:57

VAG I iz not ready for it to be fulled cooked

rots my mum is a&e nurse and whenever I fell of my pony/ horse she would come and wake me every few hours to check... not that I was grateful at the time

Cosmosis · 28/04/2010 10:22

I haz head buried firmly in sand re childcare. I have list of childminders for area. That is all.

we have a friend who makes his own cylcing shorts. They are not attractive

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 28/04/2010 10:54

Love that link pony - shall send it to boyfy who is a keen cyclist, but not as keen as Cos's friend, who Makes His Own Shorts. Crazy loon! They must be quite something.

mas so glad about the scan! That's fab news. Especially seeing the heartbeat! It's a great feeling. As the others said, dates are tricky at this point - later ovulation than you thought could well result in the difference, as well as a possible few days for conception and implantation. I had 3 days taken off my date at my first scan, though my calculations were based on certain SWI knowledge, but I chose not to argue the toss with the doc, but rather to meekly accept his verdict

Ski I am pretty sure that G&A is not something that they have in this neck of the woods, considering it to be some kind of barbaric relic of the 50s or some such thing. It's bad news I know. I have been mulling on it too, but had not struck on your brilliant solution of getting in my own supply. Love the idea of you rolling back in from the bathroom after a few surreptitious puffs.

carrotsarenottheonlyvegetable · 28/04/2010 11:01

iggy good mother

first aid inc for babies

I'm going to see if I can get a group together for training with the local NCT.

iggypiggy · 28/04/2010 11:26

Would v. much like to finish work now... so over it...

CurlyCasper · 28/04/2010 12:20

hear, hear.

Made the mistake of venturing into AIBU. Phrasing of OP irked me at first, even if there was a valid point in there. Now responses are getting on my wick and I am resisting a rant... Must stay away!

OP posts:
skihorse · 28/04/2010 12:35

The trouble with AIBU curly is that the response so frequently needed is "FFS, don't you have anything better to worry about? Seriously? No gardening to do? Clean behind the cooker? GAFG!". Or maybe it's just me who becomes exasperated at the hopeless.

iggy I think it's jealousy that you have tits AND a waist - they'd like to see you in a muu-muu on a permanent basis!

I haz probably just commited career suicide. 2 hour meeting with country director and I went and sent a snitty email afterwards (slagging off my immediate director). Just TRY firing a differ in this country!

On the plus side, jailbait is playing golf with some of my colleagues later. He plays off of 5 which I understand is like saying "Well I've ridden Badminton but I didn't win of course".

skihorse · 28/04/2010 12:39

switty Fo sho? I will have to raise the issue at my next meeting. Failing that will have secret stash in the loo and vodka in my water bottle!

CurlyCasper · 28/04/2010 13:02

apparently our preggo bodies are "distorted" and "disgusting". Check out the comments at the bottom of this story.

(And DVO needs some better pants. Glad to see she's piling it on her arse too)

OP posts:
CurlyCasper · 28/04/2010 13:08

And OMG check this. Never mind a 6lb baby - here's a 6lb horse!

OP posts:
skihorse · 28/04/2010 13:19

curly Have you looked at her preggo fashion on www.very.co.uk? I thought some of it was OK, some most dull. I haz already seen tiny hoss and it upset me.

Ponymum · 28/04/2010 13:23

caspy Stay away from AIBU. That way madness lies.

I am all of a muddle. MrP has been offered another job. Not the first time this has happened. (Yes, I get muddled a lot.) Only the interesting thing about this one is that the guy making the offer added, 'Oh, by the way, I'll be away on research leave for 2 years so you'd be very welcome to have our house while we're gone.' Very nice, you might be thinking. Well yes, especially when you hear that it's a frickin' 16th CENTURY JACOBEAN MANOR HOUSE and 'we wouldn't charge market rent, it would just be great to know it was in good hands.'

I'm thinking, forget whether the job is any good or not - I want the house! PESH advice?

CurlyCasper · 28/04/2010 13:25

pony Tell him he's taking the job and the house or you'll leave!

OP posts:
skihorse · 28/04/2010 13:28

pony Does the house have stables & paddock?

CUNextTuesday · 28/04/2010 13:28

PESH commune!! We'll ALL move in!

Cosmosis · 28/04/2010 13:29

In other news, I must finally have a bump because someone who didn't know I was preggo asked me about being preggo. Hurrah! Of course that it actually because I look distorted and disgusting - although try telling TGO that

iggypiggy · 28/04/2010 13:30

email is down at work - am at a loss...

cossie please to show us a pic

CurlyCasper · 28/04/2010 13:31

Not bad stuff there ski. But I agree it's a bit plain. But quite affordable!

congrats on the bumpage cossie!
