CazEM Fraid that's 2-1 for the boys for Aug 7...

Hello bluecheese...you are taunting us with your name. And to echo the comments earlier, what is with the variable appetites....no interest in food > mad cravings? At the moment, its suggestion & coveting other people's food choices that's driving me crazy not actual cravings...a friend mentions he had a good Chinese in Soho at the weekend, I want a Chinese. Chulita bakes cookies, I need cookies despite a whole tub of homemade brownies sitting there. Who had the faitas last night? Well, that's my dinner for tomorrow. I really do need to have a quiet word with myself.

weehector · 25/03/2010 22:23

Night, night Elusive, I'm off to bed now too to dream about my little, curly, blonde haired boy...

In fact, hugs all round. I'm feeling the need to spread the love tonight. (sorry to those rolling their eyes, sticking their fingers down their throats..I'll revert to a sullen Scottish girl manana).

CazEM · 26/03/2010 07:18

weehector - it was me that had fajitas and very yummy they were too! Hope you enjoy them today!

Had another one of those nights where I woke up yelling out with horrible bad cramp in my leg again. Always the left leg.... suggestions anyone?! It couldn't have been that late cuz DH was still up but I've never heard him run up the stairs so fast! Haha!

Yay last day in work before a fortnight off! Horray horray horray! Can you tell I'm pleased?! Haha! Hope it goes quickly! Got my lovely pregnancy photographer coming tonight for my next session! and just got a chicken out to defrost during the day so Roast tonight!

Can't remember who has scans today (7.am pregnancy brain I'm afraid!) but lots of good thoughts coming your way. Will looking forward to hearing about it later!

Have super days everyone!

Chulita · 26/03/2010 07:41

Morning all! DD only woke up at 4:30 and she resettled within 20 mins - bliss! I actually slept last night, thanks for all the sleep vibes!
I'm trying to get excited for breakfast, cereal just doesn't cut it. I've really lost my desire for food (doesn't stop me eating thought). Strange that a month ago I was having 2 brekkies! Oh well, might slow down the growth of them bingo wings.
caz, pregnancy photographer? I'm danged if I let anyone photograph my ballooning body Have fun!
Good luck for scans today!

CherryPie3 · 26/03/2010 08:54

Morning All!!

Glad you finally got some slep Chulita - you definitely needed it love. So glad yourr dd is better - it's such a worry isn't it??

Oh, and thank you muchly for the choc chunk cookies - I'm gonna bake them tonight!!!!

WeeHector - Awwwww ,you sound so gushy and lovely , congratulations on your little man - happy baby planning from today

Nikalah - Sorry I didn't congratulate you yesterday - I wasn't sure if you'd confirmed your lo is a girl or whether you just referred to bump as a girl . Soooooo CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

blueberries/cazzy - last baby here also but I have to say I'm not sad about it. Well, maybe a tiny teeny bit but I'm more excited to be completing my family (and not having SPD again after this!!). We're gonna be a little bit unbalanced tho - we're lucky that we have a dd and ds now, so this little one is gonna make us a bit outnumbered one way or the other.

cazzy - Sorry about your roof - how pants is that!! Is it a big huge job??

Alive and blueberries - Hope you have lovely scans today . Let us know how they go xx

CazEm Toffe Ice-cream yummy!! You do realise I now need some don't you

Cherrypie Thanks for the congratulations - and I can not believe the driver this morning! Some people are just unbelievable!

Chulita Thanks for the recommendation - I've ordered so hope to get going next week! Very exciting.

Good Luck for all the scans today. I'm off for the weekend - so have a good one x

LCRLCR · 26/03/2010 11:00

19 + 4 - when will i feel my LO move? First baby - are you all feeling yours now?

:-(

Chulita · 26/03/2010 11:30

LCR I didn't feel DD move til very late on - it was well after 24 wks (I remember cos I was still throwing up at 24wks and was wondering why I felt so rough but couldn't feel anything!). If your placenta's anterior/in front you won't feel so much either. I'm 23wks now and LO has been kicking heaps today but my placent's anterior so I feel it all near the bladder...lovely!
When's your scan?

vix206 · 26/03/2010 11:36

LCR this is my first and I started feeling little movements at around 18 weeks, now I'm almost 20 and I get regular kicks/punches at very regular times during the day. Apart from my bump I'm pretty skinny and the midwife says she thinks this is why I feel it so early on. Its a lovely feeling, for me to begin with it was hard to distinguish between baby moving and gas bubbles, but every day it gets much clearer and more obvious

My new symptom is crazy aching right leg at night time, if I lay on my right side. It aches from my buttock all the way down to my ankle, from what I have seen online its totally normal but horrid. Hoping my left leg remains ache-free!

Cherrypie, what a pants thing to happen - the guy sounds like a total idiot.

Good luck for all scans today, I'm counting down the days to mine - 13 to go! Sooo want to know whether we are pink or blue!!

LCRLCR · 26/03/2010 11:39

I think I'm hyper sensitive to any kind of sensation in the tummy area wondering if it's baby but I guess I have to be patient and hope for a kick or a punch soon! Is it a very light feeling or is it forceful even now?

Scan is next Wed - my parents will be here form Ireland so I'm hoping they can meet their new grandchild in utero! That will put my mind at rest for sure to see LO again

xx

Chulita · 26/03/2010 11:43

Lol, by the end I was wishing DD would stop kicking but it's nice when you know they're just so little and squiggling around in there!
Not long til the scan though so that's good

cherrypie, what a cock! for you, glad you can do something about it though!

I'm not hungry but I really want to eat

Alicetheinvisible · 26/03/2010 12:12

We are having a boy!

vix206 · 26/03/2010 12:33

Congrats Alice!!!

LCR, for me they are fairly gentle but very noticeable, like little taps and pops. But they started like rollercoaster sensations, it mainly just feels like little taps from the inside now, quite low down just above my pubic bone.

I feel it more when I am hungry, not sure if that's the baby demanding food!!

ElusiveMoose · 26/03/2010 12:36

Congratulations, Alice! What is it in the water on this thread - so many boys?!

pamplem0usse · 26/03/2010 13:08

Hello all!

Sorry been AWOL a bit. Need to get 10,000 words written by the end of next week :s.

Congrats on the boys Alice an Elusive and Nikalah on your little girl (I hope I've got those right!!!).

I've got some exciting Tuesdays to look forward to -- next week I've a baby shopping trip planned and the week after my scan! So I'm holding onto those things to help make the hard work more bearable!!

Feeling quite stress as this is work for my 'Upgrade' which is basically a hoop you have to jump through if you're doing a PhD. If I don't pass it then I risk effectively getting sacked :s which means no maternity pay (instead of the £1200/month for 9 months + 3 months unpaid that I should be getting). Tres stressful, even though I know I pass.

Cherry I nearly forgot, boo to the idiotic driver. Were there no witnesses? Oh well the fact that he wouldn't give you his insurance details already incriminates him!

Sxx

pamplem0usse · 26/03/2010 13:12

Oh and Elusive I haven't been risking blue cheese but I'm absolutely desperate for some. There's a Nigel Slater recipe that sounds very similar to yours which is spinach, cream and blue cheese (healthy eh?! well at least there's some iron in it!) and I was wondering whether it would be OK. I don't usually get the sauce to boiling hot temperature (just melt the cheese in) but I'm thinking if I do that it might be ok?)

ElusiveMoose · 26/03/2010 13:25

Yeah, that's what I reckon Pamplemousse. I just simmer the sauce for a couple of minutes, and I reckon that should do it. BTW, best present I got after DS was born was (somewhat surprisingly!) from my FIL. He arrived in hospital bearing a big bag of goodies from the Maison Blanc patisserie, including loads of blue cheese and parma ham pastries (everyone else who brought me food tended to bring cakes and chocolates, which was nice, but I'd been stuffing myself with those for months!). He's a real food-lover himself, like me, so I think he really appreciated what I had been missing .

bluecheesefiend · 26/03/2010 15:27

Oh CherryPie, what a horrible morning you've had! I remember someone once telling me it is a crime to leave the scene of an accident so if you report him with his registration number he might get a visit from the police, which should make him feel appropriately wankerish, don't you think?

Some more info for my little entry - is baby #1 and I had a 15 wk scan which was fine and dandy.

ElusiveMoose - that sounds like the best gift ever!!!

bouncingblueberries · 26/03/2010 16:10

Will catch up proprly later but just a quick one to let you all know scan went well but baby kept it's legs firmly crossed! So we're Team Surprise after all! Just glad everything in right place and surprisingly happy that we'll get a surprise when our little shy baby is born
