Welcome to the thread, before the thread, before the final thread where I give birth.

And in case you're needing it here is the Post-natal thread

Hello all, I'm Arcadie's RL chum who treated her to the pinot noir last night, and I can confirm that the hair cut is as booooootiful as she is! Thank you for holding her virtual hand through this pregnancy, I know its meant a lot. I was almost the last due on my AN thread and its rubbish, but you WILL get there! Looking forward to hearing more birth announcements, you're so nearly there!

Give me a B, give me an A...

Awwwww- thanks guys. Pixie the wings manoeuvre is, sadly, a foot thing. But bless you for trying. Sleep well.

CappuCaz Always a pleasure to see you my sweet! Even if you are posing as my Mum....

Pacific Meredith has annoyed me since episode one. Apparently the reason why the show has so many stories about everyone else bar her is because the American focus groups who the network polled also found her tooth-itchingly irritating so chose to make the show more about other people. Keep the positive BH vibes coming. Not disappearing into a pit of misery at the thought that no baby will ever come out can only be a good thing.

Congrats LouBudd and Kay! They say Emily is such a popular name but I don't know of anyone called it... very pretty and so is Sophie.

My RL friend who was due on the same date as me has now given birth, she texted that Esme Jude has arrived. Would you say that is a boy or a girl? [thick emoticon]

Go go, go pregnant ladies go! (to the tune of Johnny B Good)

annamama · 28/03/2010 12:53

Oh it's a girl, thought so.

Henrietta · 28/03/2010 14:19

Arcadie I presume the eviction notice has been served therefore It thinks it has squatters rights [ come and join me doing some cartwheels seeing the DH bouncing didn't work last night, prob 'cos I went to sleep after (well wears you out)- well the last time they lasted all night just to tail off at 5am. getting BHs still today every 10 mins some fairly uncomfortable (no change there then), checked cervix about hour ago, seemed bit more stretchy etc. so something must be happening with them.
Went to church today got the you stilllll here...nice everyones looking out for you but feel like saying not my fault its Baby that wants to stay in there.

Congratulations, kay; lovely names again!

Just checking in so I won't miss Arcadie going into labour anything...

Henrietta, I bet you are on your way - or rather your baby .

Afribaby, how are you holding up?

to everybody.

PacificDogwood · 28/03/2010 17:38

DS1 is requesting a , so there:

AfriBaby · 28/03/2010 18:03

Evening ladies - still here, still no baby. Had some kind of contractions on and off since Thursday night, always tail off. Really thought things were kicking off this morning - incl. (sorry, TMI) fluid trickling down leg, but nothing since then - midwife says if it was amniotic fluid it would have continued. So maybe just (clear, odourless?) pee afterall . Arrgh. Sometimes a painful contraction or two, then everything dies down. Baby moving around like crazy.
Trying hard not to WAIT and just continue as normal, but it's hard. Sigh.
Loving all the baby news though - it seems there WILL be a baby at the end of this, not just a big poo/fart .

Anyway, another night of waiting/pretending not be waiting. Good luck to everyone else still waiting.

swingsofglory · 28/03/2010 19:49

Hello all,

Congrats to loubud and kay. I've not been around for a few days because...

I'm pleased to announce the arrival of Amy Rose at 10.19 on Saturday 27th March. She weighed in at 7lb exactly. I'll put more on the post-natal thread at some point in the future but suffice to say, I was 41 +5 days, thoroughly miserable and more or less resigned to being induced again when she decided to make an appearance on fri night/saturday morning. Labour was not too bad at all and we're back home, sleepless but very happy and having a great time.

Much love to those of you still waiting and see you on the other side soon.

Shroomer · 28/03/2010 20:01

I'm 42 weeks tomorrow, and going for my induction in the morning. See you on the other side...

BusyMissIzzy · 28/03/2010 21:07

Congrats Lou, Rinders and Kay1980; more lovely babies and lovely names

Good luck Shroomer, look forward to seeing you on the postnatal thread.. x

Waves and hugs to everyone else, especially those still waiting.

Arcadie · 28/03/2010 21:52

Shroomer Very very best of luck - for all I moan like heck both my inductions were lovely experiences that produced the world's most gorgeous children so I wish you a safe and enjoyable time of it.

Swings Congrats on Amy! Good to hear it's possible to go into labour naturally at 41 +! thanks for the encouragement.

Greek style Arcadian news
SERIOUSLY wriggly baby tonight. Lots of head knocking against bladder cervix. Some fairly powerful tightenings but NOTHING that feels anything like a contraction as yet. COME ON baby! Most people don't need chemicals to persuade their offspring out!!!!!

Good luck Shroomer!

Everyone else's babies: your mummies want you out... NOW! please.

Henrietta · 29/03/2010 11:17

I think I may be having mild contractions about 10 mins apart at moment so we'll have to wait and see what happens

Just checking in. Without baby.
I know with your first it can take ages, and I am really trying to remember that...another night with contractions, incl. more than 2 hours of contractions at 5 minutes apart...sun comes up, it all dies down. Arrghhh. Midwife appointment today, am max. 2 cm dilated. Grrahhh. Howl. Stamp feet.

Congrats to Swings, lovely name! And good luck Shroomer and happy due date Henrietta - hope those contractions turn into labour real soon!

Come ON babies, come ON.

annamama · 29/03/2010 13:29

Go Henrietta & AfriBaby!

Arcadie · 29/03/2010 15:05

Wow. Henrietta and Afribaby you go girls! It sounds like they're a-coming. Slowly.... but at least surely.
