Welcome to the thread, before the thread, before the final thread where I give birth.

And in case you're needing it here is the Post-natal thread

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hope it is all happening Walnut. I too have mild cramps - which usually only make an appearance at night. Your husband must be a very happy man right now with all that bouncing.

Henrietta I'm so glad your baby has turned. That should make birth better.

I like the Arcadian news. Sounds as if it should be about Greek mythology for some reason. I'm glad that your sinusitis has cleared up - whatever caused it to clear up. My sinuses have been playing up occasionally, and are doing so right now, but I won't be praying I'm afraid. I wonder if ball bouncing would help. You know, I can't read my MW's writing either, and have given up trying.

Arcadie · 26/03/2010 16:17

I've got a luvverly new hair cut. At least 4 inches removed. Bbeeeeaaautiful!

Arcadie, maybe instead of football you should book yourself tickets to some one-night-only must see show/concert/whatever. Maybe sod's law will spring into action and the baby will make his/her appearance.

Anyway, good luck to everyone still waiting. Nighttime cramps def sound promising to me. It really can't be much longer for any of you. Really. It can't.

PacificDogwood · 26/03/2010 16:54

I am sure, I do not believe a single word of it, but felt the urgent need to share !

AfriBaby · 26/03/2010 17:08

Happy due date Arcadie - nothing much happening here either. Sigh. Sister coming over from Spain tonight though, hurray.

Waves to everyone else, resumes being a grumpy miserable cow and shouting at DH for no reason.

Henrietta · 26/03/2010 17:34

arcadie we need a photo of the new haircut 4 inches thats a lot. Glad yours worked out nice - better than my disaster haircut, though its behaving a bit better now.
quote ( actually I feel like a new baby but hey....)innocently asks does that mean YOU feel like you are a new baby or that you want one??? ducks and runs off.

Was feeling rotten this morn (embarassed myself by blubbing at MW apptmt) but feeling better now BHs still coming baby moving loads & griiiiiiiiiiiiinding in my pelvis. oh well hopefully here soon DH also on bouncing duty hope tonight even though babysitter service is most complicated tonight DONT CARE just waaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnt it to cooooooooooommmee join in arcadies stamp dance

Henrietta · 26/03/2010 18:14

PS Arcadie the thought of someone putting a needle that big that near my spine just well horrifies me, adn the risk of tearing (again) is higher with epidural, and that i need to avoid at all costs.

Rindercella · 26/03/2010 20:48

Very quick post from me.

Jasmine Anya born at 8.12am this morning - just 1 hour 25 mins after arriving in hospital (3 hr 20 mins total labour). Weighing in at 9lb 3oz. Absolutely gorgeous. We're now very happy, at home and doing well.

Will catch up with everyone soon. x

PacificDogwood · 26/03/2010 20:52

Yeah, congratulations, Rindercella! V glad to hear everything went well for you . Lovely names, impressive sized baby and you sound v happy.
See you on the other side soon.

MummyElk · 26/03/2010 21:05

Well done rinders!!! great news!

pacific at the link...How? WHY? HOOOWWWWW???? Are the midwives in Temple, Texas just shit unobservant?!! Hoooowwww???

Am lurking....but can't keep up with two threads properly. but completely thinking of you all.... and Arcadie and Afribaby i thought muchly of you today, it being the only day I've really remembered anyone's due date other than my own partly because it's my birthday I thought i'd also be pushing a baby out today. Am glad sinusitis is over for you RKD and that you have a lovely new haircut!

Keep going ladies you are doing a great job and if you are feeling a bit pregnant and fed up here is a list of my current ailments:
Hips are falling apart - SPD burns like a b@st@rd every time i move, left hip is dodgy as, right hip is wobbly
Stitches - are tightening and still sore
Afterpains - are worse this time (and breathe, 2, 3, 4)
Nipples - are just holding on
Pooing - still hurts, oh and that reminds me
Piles are protudingly painful.....
Bet you are all now......

as my DD1 would say "Come...On....Babies" March is nearly spent......

DrSkidaddle · 26/03/2010 21:48

congrats rindercella!

pacific - that surely isn't true???

arcadie - hope the haircut cheered you up

how miserable for those of you who are overdue but it can't be long now. my bets are on you being next henrieta (but please don' t hste me if you now go 2 weeks over!1)

Arcadie · 26/03/2010 21:51

Much cheered by the haircut and the glass of pinot noir that my friend just treated me to. Mmmmm Wine.

OP posts:
Henrietta · 27/03/2010 02:10

Well nothing happening here but every time I lie down baby's trying to turn again and I don't want it tomove from a good position into a bad one again, so hence the silly 'o' clock posting. Also DH managed to fll asleep before I finished my drink & got upstairs so the bouncing didn't happen.
Now got heartburn - m own silly fault for having a hot Indian...dinner that is...(not some drafted in help) so having some hot milk to ease seeing Im out of gaviscon as the chemist wouldn't take their gone-off gaviscon back & I didn't get round to getting anymore.
wondering if anythings happening with any of you others.

annamama · 27/03/2010 11:07

Congrats Rindercella, Jasmine is beautiful name! You must post birth story when you have time...

Mmm wine... I'm enjoying the odd glass too, and PATE! Oh and sleeping on my back. Slept on my front the first night after DD2 born but now impossible due to milk filled boobs.

Sorry, don't mean to make you ...

For some reason I suddenly got piles too, about 3 days after birth they came from out of nowhere! (Well I guess they came from out of my bum.) However they seem to be getting smaller now. I talk to my DH about almost everything but I think this is embarrassing! Had to tell him though as he had to go pick up Anusol for me.

Thinking of you girls! Also, a RL friend who was due on the same day as me is still waiting. Babies, come out! NOW!

LouBudd · 27/03/2010 14:52

Hi ladies,
Sorry it has taken me a couple of days to get on here. Just to let you all know that Emily arrived on Wednesday evening weighing a massive 10lbs 8oz. She arrived very quickly which was a bit of a shock but we are both well and I will post a full birth story on the post natal thread.
Keep positive everyone still waiting. It's just around the corner. Will be thinking of you all.

PacificDogwood · 27/03/2010 15:56

Congratulations, LouBudd, glad you now have your little girl in your arms - or not so little - wow! Well done you. Looking forward to hearing the full story on PN thread.
.

Anybody else have anything to report? You know you cannot just go away and have a RL and not report to us, don't you?!

Hope you are all well and not too fed up with the waiting room.

Henrietta · 27/03/2010 17:06

Congrats Loubud
wheres everyone else???

Arcadie · 27/03/2010 17:24

HI PAcific. I have no twinges, niggles or the slightest inkling that my baby is even thinking about coming out. I have had an afternoon in bed and then nesting as DH took the kids out. Yay me,

Well done LouBudd Can't wait to join you on t'other side.

Hi Henrietta How's it going?

Pacific See the thing is I do get really quite strong BHs about 20 mins after I've taken one of the tablets so I believe they are real. They just don't bring on labour.

I know I'm only a day overdue but it does feel like this is going to be a very very long wait. Sorry Pixie I'll do what I can to speed it up....

OP posts:
MummyElk · 27/03/2010 21:01

Well what shall we talk about to ease the time passing then?

I'm watching Dorothy - the sad thing about it all is that DH is actually more excited about this series starting than me - which leads me to wonder if the lack of sex recent events in our lives have upped his gay factor....

I would much prefer a tap dance please. If you can do those clever wings manoeuvre I'll be realllllly impressed.

I've been watching Casualty. Girl gives birth whist on paper round. Ends up with inverted uterus. Bugger....It's total crap bilge but I've watched it ever since I was tiny. Just gave up on Holby a few months ago as I was bored rigid with it. However give me ANY American medical soap and I'm there. House, Scrubs, ER, Grey's Anatomy. Anyone got the box set of series 3 of Grey's that they fancy lending a fat southern tv addict fellow MNer?

Can't believe you've all got babies to look after. Want to meet mine. After a glass of red (again ) I think that labour might be a bad idea so he/she can wait until tomorrow..........

OP posts:
PacificDogwood · 27/03/2010 22:20

Maybe those strong 'BH' are actually doing something for you, Arcadie? You never know...

Just watched 2 episodes of Scrubs on Comedy Central - v funny , love the Janitor!
And Grey's Anatomy, excellent stuff, but Meredith is beginning to annoy me.

Night, night, I am off to bed whenever DS4 stops rooting.
