I know, that's what I meant! I mean when you've had Fred you'll never face them!

well lets hope so hey!!! sorry am really slow on the uptake recently!! Takes me a while to click sometimes!

bonkerz · 13/07/2005 07:51

cant believe i killed a thread like this one yesterday!

Well girls, the power of positive thought and mumsnetters never fail to amaze me. I HAVE STOPPED BLEEDING!!! Have had nothing all night and am relieved, to say the least! Am yet again VERY sore and itchy so thrush is obviously still there but am going to leave using anything till ive seen the midwife tomorrow!

Felt fred kick (or punch) 3 times last night, definately him and not wind! Was so lovely ended up laughing and waiting for it again! Lets hope i feel more today! Am so relieved cos felt ds alot earlier than this! but then judging from the scan on onday the poor bean hasnt got much room at the moment anyway!

Another day of nothingness for me {yawn!} Maybe i will watch some videos??

Anyway hope you girls are all ok and dont talk too much cos nemo and i cant keep up!

MINNIE1 · 13/07/2005 09:25

bonkerz,
Great to hear the bleeding has stopped and Fred is ok. Hope this is the start of a joyful pregnancy.

Done all the house yesterday top to bottom.. OMG i have really found my energy. DP even helped a little. Great to have a clean house again.

I forgot about the TP but will nip to the loo here at work.. Will have to find out what i was the last time first.

How are you all today??

sweetheart · 13/07/2005 09:40

Bonkerz - thats absolutly brilliant news - you must be soo pleased!!!!

I'm really really bored already and it's only 9.30!! I get the feeling today is going to be a looooong day!!

george32 · 13/07/2005 10:04

Working from home today - Hurrah. No sick making tube.
Was awake at 4.00am thanks to DP snoring and then he has the audacity to have a go at me for waking him!!!
Bonkerz, I am so pleased that the bleeding has stopped and that you are feeling Fred wriggling around

ninah · 13/07/2005 10:34

morning all
Good news bonkerz!
did you know for thrush you can apply (plain, live) yoghurt locally? if you can't use anything else this may help you
Just had call from nursery to say ds temp 38+ they are going to try and cool him down otherwise it's hometime for me and hometime for him, so if I'm suddenly gone you know why

sweetheart · 13/07/2005 11:49

ninah - I'm so jelous!!! I wish I could sneek off home early.

I might later - got yet another headache. I think it's the weather

ninah · 13/07/2005 12:39

yup off at 1
quick stop for blood test and then home, yeh!
(I know I should be more concerned about poor ds, but all I can think is time at home for us, hurrah, and if he improves we'll go to the beach!)

OP posts:
ninah · 13/07/2005 12:58

I hope your DS is OK Ninah.
Have a good afternoon.
How is your headache SH?

sweetheart · 13/07/2005 13:52

ninah, hope your ds is OK. My dd was sent home from school on Monday only to ask 5 mins later if she could go out and play on her bike. Have to say we are more mean and told her if she wasn't well enough to go to school she couldn't go out and play. Mind you if we had a beech nearby I'm sure we would have opted for that too

Headache is a bit better thanks george. I popped home for lunch and had 45 mins snooze on the sofa. It amazing what a little extra sleep can do. I only wish I could have stayed there.

I'm feeling a little anxious today as I haven't felt so much movement over the last couple of days. If it persists I'll phone my mw. Have my scan next week though so I don't want to bother them too much.

How is everyone else this afternoon???

Thomcat · 13/07/2005 13:59

Hi girls

Sorry not been around much, horrendously busy at work, it's maddern than mad and my best mate has moved in with us after her boyfriend asked her to move out so been busy in the evenings too.

Have my first appt with midwife this Friday, late afternoon.
Really looking forward to meeting her anf getting to know her etc.

I'll be 17 weeks tomorrow. I ahven't felt mole move yet. Is that weird, should I have felt it by now?

sweetheart · 13/07/2005 14:06

Hi TC - that you haven't had your first appointment yet!!!

I wouldn't worry about not feeling anything yet. It's generally anytime between 16 and 20 weeks. Sometimes can be as late as 24 weeks for some people.

expatinscotland · 13/07/2005 14:25

SO glad to see the end of this bloody heat! Hope it doesn't come back.

Wee one is squirming around and kicking. Went to see doc today, she remarked that I'm quite big for 17 weeks. I thought the same myself. I'm a small-framed person who was not very big when I got pregnant, but wee one is a definite bump now. More active at night but was moving quite a bit this morning. DH can feel him/her booting if he puts his hand on my tummy.

GP thinks my breathlessness is panic attacks. I think I'll have a glass of wine before bed tonight and see if that helps me sleep better.

george32 · 13/07/2005 16:32

SH, very that you can nip home for lunch.
I was wondering if it might be the heat has stopped your little one from wriggling so much. I'm only guessing as I have zilch experience at the moment but thought they might react in the same way we do.(ie, lie down with nothing on and moan!!). Hope all is OK anyway.
Expat, I'm with you on wishing the heat gone. Usually love summer but just can't stand it at the moment.

TC, I'm 16 wks tomorrow and not a flicker here. No bubbles, no fluttering, nothing. I think it must be the thick layer of chocolate that is making me less sensitive

Nemo1977 · 13/07/2005 16:37

SH i wouldnt worry about movements hun i was feeling them but they have stopped past few days. I think its because now the babies r right under bellybutton..only way i can find heartbeat with doppler is to put it either side of bellybutton which is the most cushioned part of ur body

sweetheart · 13/07/2005 16:40

George,

I wonder if it's the heat too. Whenever I put my hand on my tummy it stops moving so I don't think it likes any extra warmth!!! I have felt a few movements, just not as many. I gave my belly a shake in bed last night and it jumped about a bit so I'm not too worried!!!!

Nemo, my buba is still very low down in my pelvis. It doesn't seem to be coming up at all. Yesterday my ubic bones were agony. Had to lie on the sofa all evening as walking and even sitting up were painfull.

sweetheart · 13/07/2005 16:41

george - it takes me 2 mins to get home and 2 mins to get back so I can get about 45/50 mins sleep during lunch if I really need it.

It's done me the world of good today!!!

Nemo1977 · 13/07/2005 16:43

SH i have had all the soreness etc but had it with ds and turned into mild spd just not this early..lol Feel like an old woman and cant move very quickly and aches like my joints are out of place...just normal softening of pelvis tho.

sweetheart · 13/07/2005 16:45

my SIL had spd with her pregnancies. I'm hoping it's just my bones getting used to the weight. Dh seems to think it's something more but I'm not so sure.

I hope not anyway - SIL was on crutches with hers!!!

george32 · 13/07/2005 16:48

Oh wish I was due at the beginning of Dec. You guys keep worrying me with talk of what is to come.......softening of the pelvis!!!! Oh I'm so not ready for this!!

SH, your journey sounds like bliss!

george32 · 13/07/2005 16:48

Go on tell me........spd???
