bonkerz · 24/07/2005 13:42

i got::

Bonkerz: STRONG AND BEAUTIFUL JUST LIKE BONKERZ!!!

goldenoldie · 24/07/2005 18:45

Bonk - anything 120 - 140 and is meant to be a boy, and 140 - 160 a girl. Did not work for me, both h/b are always over 140 and I've got two boys on the way. Apparently the h/b thing only works for the last two months - but by then you know what you are having anyway................

dramaqueen72 · 24/07/2005 19:10

well the heart beat thing di work last time for dd, she was always high....so i do wonder over my little bean in here whos often around 143-kinda stuck in the middle
felt my first big proper kick today wonderful to feel and be reasure, but of course now i am waiting for another one please!

bonkerz · 24/07/2005 20:19

yikes so maybe the dreams i have been having lately about fred being a girl are a premonition! Im still convinced its a boy and so is dh! Will hopefully find out on 24th!!
Eaten well again today, felt queasy all afternoon but not been sick.
Have another hectic week with 6 mindees again this week! Ds turns 5 on Tuesday.
Tomorrow it will be a year since i lost my first baby. Have already had some tears today and im trying to arrange to do loads tomorrow to help keep me busy. I know im lucky to have fred etc but cant help thinking what would have been. Have the due date of baby number 2 on 8th August too so not gonna be an easy few weeks for me.

sweetheart · 24/07/2005 20:53

Bonkerz,

I'm sorry to hear what your going through. I've recently passed my last due date too so i can understand what you are going through.

I am reading a good book at the moment, it's called Pregnancy After A Loss and it's written by Carol Cirulli Lanham. It was given to me by a friend who had also lost a baby.

She goes to our local SANDS group but it's something I didn't feel I needed. I'm quite open about my feelings and find it easier to talk to family and friends about our baby boy. I didn't think I was the sort to need self help books!!! I have to say though, it has been comforting to know that other people have been through similar emotions to me and having spoken to my friend about her experiencesI have been able to feel better about my own.

If you ever need to talk about your loss I'm here for you.

I'm 21 weeks today by the way - YEAH!!!!!

bonkerz · 24/07/2005 22:38

Thanks so much sweetheart for your thoughts. I get alot of support from you girls on mumsnet and thankfully have some great friends who always listen to me and let me cry. Have warned them all i may need a shoulder and an ear tomorrow so they are prepared. It doesnt help that i lost dh and my first baby on the same night 4 years before that i was in labour with with ds. Just seems cruel cos i will never be able to forget the date.
Will stop there cos dont wanna bring the thread down although i know many of you on here have been through what i have and will be here if i need you i also feel this thread has bought us all luck and confidence and i dont want to spoil that!.

Morning everyone.
Bonkerz big {{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}} for you today. I hope that the day passes quickly for you.

Very of everyone feeling kicks. Still nothing here but I am on 17+4 so a bit behind. The heart is still thumping away. Counted the rate last night, 140, so puts me right in the middle of girl or boy rates! I'm 2 weeks tomorrow to my scan too Nemo. Can't remember, are you finding out the sex?

Managed to stop the house looking like a pig sty at the weekend but knackered myself out so back to being sick & headachy again today. Having a morning at home to see if I can shift it.

Just done the slogan thing......."That's handy Harry! Stick it in the George!!!"

Nemo1977 · 25/07/2005 11:02

sweetheart · 25/07/2005 11:47

Morning all - blimey it's quiet on here today. We must all be being extra efficient at work

Bonkerz, I will be thinking of you today. Hopefully today will pass without too much sorrow and tomorrow will seem brighter. Please feel free to talk if you need to, I think I can safely say we are all here for you.

Well, I've put it off for long enough - the sight of my love handles has finally pushed me over the edge so today I'm off for my first gym visit in 3 months!!!!!!!!! Going to ease myself in with a half hour lunch time visit and see how it goes - wish me luck ladies.

If I'm not on this afternoon it's coz I passed out at the sight of the treadmill

Nemo1977 · 25/07/2005 11:50

pmsl SH thats brave of u...lol
I havenbt been near a gym in years so dont intend to start now.

MEant to say before that i was looking at pics of me 20wks pg with ds and i looked a lot bigger even though this time i feel bigger...why is that?????????

scully · 25/07/2005 12:08

Kangel, hope you're feeling a bit better today and had a more relaxing weekend. The chinese calendar was wrong for my friend but right for me last time so that sums it up, 50-50 chance of guessing it correctly!
We had a lovely weekend, went to Lenny Kravitz concert on Thursday night which was great, always nice to have the occassional 'adult' night without our dd! & LK is very easy on the eye, apart from enjoying his music
And then on Friday we headed down to Dorset for 2 nights camping. DD's first time in a tent and she loved it, I think the fish and chips and 'pink' icecream she had for lunch on Sat left more of an impression though

MINNIE1 · 25/07/2005 12:33

bonkerz

You'll Look a Little Lovelier Each Day with Fabulous Pink Minnie!!
P-P-P-Pick Up A Minnie!!

starrynight · 25/07/2005 14:20

Well, I skipped off to next this morning & there were rows and rows of maternity stuff - my eyes were goggling. I bought 3 tops and a pair of trousers for £20! Not bad! (well, quite bad considering I don't really need them...)

Can't wait for TP Tuesday - am convinced i've gone up!

starrynight · 25/07/2005 14:21

My slogan was: Get Serious. Get Becky. hmm.

sweetheart · 25/07/2005 15:15

Well I went - it didn't kill me

Actually feel better for having gone!!!

george32 · 25/07/2005 16:15

Sweetheart I am in awe of you!! I've just cancelled my gym membership, for the time being, as I am just too lazy to go.
Keep thinking of swimming but that seems to be as far as I get, just thinking about it!!

Starry, I'm sure I've grown too. I seem massive so I might cheat & measure tonight.

I'm feeling an urge to do more shopping.....anyone seen any nice tops? Also need a bra that is cut a bit lower at the front than my colossal M&S ones. Going to buy a new swimming costume too as that might spur me on a bit.

sweetheart · 25/07/2005 16:22

george - with regards to bra's (and this is open to all of you) are you buying maternity bras and have you stopped wearing your normal bras???

I am usually a C cup but as my waist expands so does my bra size and I'm not on the last hooks of my 34" bras. I really don't want to start wearing those disgusting maternity bra's yet!?!?!?!?

Has anyone else done away with the wonder that is underwire?????? I just can't bring myself to do it

george32 · 25/07/2005 16:54

OMG!!
My normal bras went out of the window weeks ago. I'm onto my 3rd set of maternity bras. I'm up from a 32D to a 34F!!! I think I'm spiralling out of control, who knows where they will end up Please someone, tell me it's not just me...........
I'm looking for a maternity bra that doesn't come up to my chin as some of the tops I have are cut lower than the bras.

starrynight · 25/07/2005 17:08

I bought 1 maternity bra in the size at the time as I know it will change. I have done away with underwire (sadly). I got the mothercare maternity bra which is cut really stupidly high and is very unsightly. Can't be bothered to fork out for a pretty one though as it will be in use for such a short time.

The mothercare thongs are stupidly cut too, and I hate them.

dramaqueen72 · 25/07/2005 20:25

s/h be careful wearing underwires, as your milk ducts grow you can get complications from the underwires, if i remember correctly
I went to john lewis and got a fairly nice white maternity one there george. also got one of elle macphersons too, much prettier than some. have you looked online? prettier ones seem to be out of the shops, what about bravissimo? they had some when i last looked, tho didnt get one from them yet.....
dh and i decided if all is alright on aug3rd scan we will buy some baby clothes to celebrate. had awful dream last night that baby was not alright at all and not formed properly woke up crying.............these vivid dreams can be horrid!!

bonkerz · 25/07/2005 21:42

Evening all, thanks for the kind thoughts again. today has been hard and im not sure i have looked after my mindees brilliantly today due to my state of mind. Thankfully all my friends remembered and so did dh which helped. had a good cry earlier on and have listened to fred 3 times today. Have still been asking 'why me' etc but have tried to take comfort from the little strong baby that is growing and moving inside me. My ds turns 5 tomorrow and it is tainted by my memories of last year. Am really going to make an effort for him tomorrow though.
Have to ring docs tomorrow for test results and hopefully the water infection will have gone but today have had very thick mucus discharge so think i still have thrush although am not as sore. Fingers crossed no more anti biotics!!
On the subject of bras, i have taken to wearing sprts bras that are not underwired and are very comfortable although not exactly sexy but thats the least of my worries!!
NEMO:: Cant wait to meet you all on 10th Aug, will sort out details soon babe but just not in mood for talking at mo cos dont want to bring you down with me. Love ya tho.

goldenoldie · 26/07/2005 08:32

Bonk - I'm with you on the bras - I've been in huge sports bras for the last couple of months, just as much support as maternity bras but half the price - if you know where to go.

MINNIE1 · 26/07/2005 09:06

On the bra front i went from 32D to 34E and i am in a comfi wire bra!! When i was being fitted i asked the lady in the shop about maternity ones and she said i have the one for ya and came with this one.. Her daughter is pg and she swears by them so i tried it on and never looked back. It has a low cut as well.
Will get the name later as i am wearing it and it would look a little odd if i wiped of my top now!!!!!

TP Tues who is first up?

starrynight · 26/07/2005 09:40

I am waiting til i've eaten a bit more then I'll measure - even a 1/4 of a sheet will be an achievement after all these weeks of nowt.

I've gone up from 36F to 38DD (so just round the middle I think ). My, we are all well endowed ladeeees on here aren't we I'm just going to leave the bra if its OK and get measured at 36 wks for a feeding one.

Ooh, I went round our local birth centre on Sunday and have decided to book in there. Planning overnight care for kids over Xmas anywhere but our house was a nightmare so we have scrapped the homebirth plan and gone for the birth centre. Its looooovely, each delivery room is ensuite and has its own pool/birth balls etc. I can't wait (for now!).

scully · 26/07/2005 09:49

I've been wearing my feeding bras from last time, for ages now. Both pregnancies they are the first things to grow out of control. At this rate I will need new feeding bras that are bigger, when my milk comes in and I take on cow like proportions
Something to look forward to........
Must try and remember to do the tp thing today, haven't managed to yet, on previous Tuesdays.
