Evenin' all.
Congratulations Playing! I think 21 month gap sounds fine. Mine are 2.5 years apart, but my brother and I were 17 months apart and my Mum said that was fine too. You only know what you're used to after all. How exciting - is this officially our first wagon sibling? (I mean, second wagon baby to a Wagoner?)
Well, Thursday is the evening DH and I are both in together (apart from Sats and Suns). DD is in bed (but rubbish bedtime feed because she only had 50mins nap at nursery today , so she'll wake up in about 30 mins and want some more to take her through until...?), DH is reading DS stories - which is a novelty. For past few months DS has always wanted me to read his stories even when DH is home, but I guess because I took this children to my Mum's last weekend that DS feels he hasn't seen DH this week really.
So, anyway, point of story, DH and I are sitting down to talk tonight . I need to get my head round whether or not we're going to have DC3 and what that means for me work-wise - staying where I am, looking for part-time nearer home, giving up work to be a SAHM (which I'm not at all sure we could afford, but we might be able to try).... So, am excited at the thought of planning the next couple of years out (I am such a control freak planner!)
Nat - tomorrow you should get your paperwork - yay!!!
Kayz - so sorry that you and DH have decided to split, but glad that you have reached this decision amicably. Really hope it works out for you both and the boys. Thinking of you.
MMM - walk sounds lovely and your DS just sounds so gorgeous.
Diege - sorry for sickness with DS. Hope he is fully recovered now and the DDs don't get it.
Ses - wow, what a lot going on for you and DH. Like Gruff I have a friend who moved to Oman a year or so ago and she loves it out there, but then she doesn't have children or partner, so is different. But, one of my NCT friends (from 2nd time round) just moved to Jordan last week with her DH and their 2 children. Got an email from her yesterday to say that they are settling in well, children have taken it all in their stride, have found soft play places, etc. Think Gruff's suggestion of starting a thread on MN Living Overseas is a great idea. Also, am happy to ask my friend what ex-pat community is like and if she has friends who are over there with children what their experiences are.
Well, had dreaded first call from nursery this afternoon - DS had temp of 38.5, so I left work straight away and said they could give him calpol. So, picked him up and he's full of beans, no different to when I normally pick him up and has been same at home
Rugby - glad you had a good day with DD yesterday and got lie-in today.
Right, sorry for those that I've forgotten. Oh, by the way, I don't think I'm any busier than any of you and certainly less busy than some, I obviously just manage to make my life sound chaotic and manic (what was that wagon word? Hectotic!!)
