Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Chulita · 16/01/2010 18:34

alice, I was saying to DH that I don't remember being this tired with DD. I went out to the shops yesterday for less than an hour and I was absolutely shattered. But yes, I was much fitter last time!

cazzybabs · 16/01/2010 19:22

possiblemum - i always end up with hypertension...with dd3 I ended up in hospital for the last week with it having been something over 102...sigh

oh well within 10 mintues of giving birth it is back to normal

neenz · 16/01/2010 20:00

I am definitely more tired this time - obviously last time I didn't have twins to look after too but I found work harder than looking after them this week. I think it is because I don't eat quite as healthily as I used to.

I am absolutely shattered and I think today is the worst I have felt MS-wise. 10wks tomorrow - am I right that MS peaks at about 10wks? [hopes]

Doodleydoo · 16/01/2010 20:14

Cazzybabs - I too had ridiculous high blood pressure, my usual (and current pg bp is 90 over 60) in my last pg I got a reading of 160 over 120 at one point! I might add not for very long but did spend the last 3 weeks in and out of hospital. So dull............does that mean that I am going to be prodded more? Booking on weds so hope to hear about a scan date then....

Fruit - madness - have had pineapple, mango, papaya and orange fruit salad, really good.

Now off to have crackers and dairylea or some cheddar not too sure.

Doodleydoo · 16/01/2010 20:30

I went to bed at 6pm last night! I was so tired and feel much better today - think my MS is linked to being tired tbh as was shocking yesterday and has been quite good today. So much more tired than with last pg but then didn't have a toddler then poking me when I try and have a nap in the afternoon! Last night as a treat i put her into my bed (with me) to watch the "Simmie's" before bedtime - so I could get out of reading her a story...I am a bad mother aren't I!

SmileyMylee · 16/01/2010 20:51

Doodleydoo - I expect you probably will be prodded more with a history of raised BP in pregnancy. I always have high BP but it is normally controlled with medication. During pregancy it goes haywire (no idea why) but everything is always okay in the end. My highest was 220/163 (and that was whilst on medication )

driedapricots · 16/01/2010 20:54

i agree my MS is def related to tiredness. on the days when it's my 'turn' to get up with DD at 5am (ridiculous body clock she has) i always feel sicker. although it does seem to be easing, i'm 11+2.. hope that's not a bad sign...scan not til 26th.
i'm ashamed to say i bought some maternity jeans today...ok, so most of it is 'left over' jelly belly from DD1 but hey, i have an excuse to wear comfortable jeans again now don't i??!! to be fair they were from Gap (great sale ladies) and so are pretty tiny by maternity clothes standards...prob be out of them by 6 months!
am bored this evening, nothing on TV and DH being grumpy (3rd week off the ciggies) so we're in separate rooms ..ah married bliss eh

Doodleydoo · 16/01/2010 21:09

Smiley - bloody hell, don't think I will complain about my bp anymore, 220/163 I think I might die! I am more likely to suffer from Hypotension than hypertension on a regular day - I have been known to faint lying down....I think I am a weirdo!

I am already loving the excuse of maternity clothes - although have very few as I lent them to a friend and don't want to ask for them back yet but did buy some leggings that are just sooooo comfy. Also bought some jeans as I thought if I was going to spend a considerable amount of money on them i might as well use them from the word go. Actually I don't need any of them just yet (clothes beginning to feel a little tighter but I am between sizes generally so they are usually a bit loose) but the excuse for really comfy not sitting in a pair of jeans with a mad button digging in..........brilliant!!!

My dh is asleep on the sofa, do you think he thinks he is pregnant?

driedapricots · 16/01/2010 21:15

ha ha...yes, they do like to 'share' the experience don't they ;)

cakeywakey · 16/01/2010 21:51

I cannot wait to get my maternity clothes down from the loft - especially the Isabella Oliver stretchy jersey trousers I bought from Ebay. They are the most comfy item of clothing that I have ever worn.

Missus84 · 16/01/2010 22:32

I celebrated getting to 12 weeks tonight by having a (watered down) glass of wine with dinner - can't believe how tipsy I feel! The one upside of drinking so little is I'm now a very cheap date.

neenz - my sickness definitely peaked around 9/10 weeks. Hopefully it will be getting better now.

starshaker · 16/01/2010 23:36

well i have had a really nice day. Went shopping in glasgow and bought a couple maternity tops from new look, went to lush and got loads of lovely smellies and i got my millies cookies i have drempt about since monday (im weird i know). Met up with my mum and younger sis and we went for a really nice meal and to the cinema to watch its complicated. All in all a fab day. Now im totally shattered lol

girlsyearapart · 17/01/2010 07:37

That sounds like a lovely day Star. What was the film like?

Boos75 · 17/01/2010 08:37

Hi ladies,

Am afraid I'm going to be leaving you

My early scan on Weds evening showed the baby measuring too small and no visible hearbeat (by my dates, which are 95% certain of I was 7.3 weeks then). The Dr said it didn't look good and advised another scan on Monday. I didn't want to pay out for more bad news so called my GP who got me an appt at my local EPU yesterday.

The sonographer measured the embryo the same as it had been during my Weds scan and she was v.negative and said she thinks it's a mmc. However, the nurse I saw afterwards was more cautious and wants us to go back in next Sat for a final scan to be certain. I know she's just doing her job and wants to make sure it's completely conclusive but the waiting is going to kill me as I know this pregnancy isnt't going anywhere and we want to move on and start again soon.

Anyway, best of luck with all your babies and hope the morning sickness ends soon. xx

bouncingblueberries · 17/01/2010 08:40

doodleydoo whatever gets you through the day at this stage is acceptable in my book! I'm really struggling by bedtime too and have been fobbing ds off with 1 medium length story and one super short story rather than his usual choice of 3 long stories!

driedapricots I'm dying to get to the Gap sale for a pair of decent jeans. The annoying thing is I work on Regent Street in London but the Regent Street Gap don't do Maternity - grrr. Will have to trek up Oxford Street instead. Maybe I can persuade ds to take a trip up into London today...hmm, there's a thought!

Think my ms is starting to ease a little too - I think it is meant to peak at around 11 weeks and I'm 11+6 today.

Have a lovely Sunday everyone!

girlsyearapart · 17/01/2010 08:41

Oh Boos

Sorry to hear that. Hope you and your Dh are coping ok.

bouncingblueberries · 17/01/2010 08:42

Oh Boo I'm so sorry

girlsyearapart · 17/01/2010 08:43

Driedapricots- Kew retail park or Kingston have the mat range.

possiblenewmum · 17/01/2010 10:47

Crazzybabs, Doodledoo and SmileyMylee - thanks for sharing about the your BP issues too, its a bit reassuring to hear i'm not the only one with that worry. My BP is normally 140/86 or something similar but was lucky on tuesday it was 128/78 when i was at the MW and typically when i've been monitoring at home over recent weeks its been 137/80, however, pre-pg it has been known to get as high as 160 / 105. Just hope i don't end up in hospital with it further down the line or with an emergency CS! My mum said she had hypertension in her PG with me at the end but had a natural birth so am hoping all will be ok. Worrying is only going to make it worse really as my BP will go up!

Sorry to hear about Boos - hope you are well supported. Its sad this thread has seen so much bad news.

Rubena · 17/01/2010 11:29

sorry Boos75

cazzybabs · 17/01/2010 13:04

Boo - so sorry!!!

ElusiveMoose · 17/01/2010 14:10

So sorry, Boos . Must be agony waiting for that final scan. Look after yourself, and hope to see you back on here soon.

Funny that everyone's suddenly thinking about maternity clothes at the same time as me - that's the great thing about antenatal threads, I guess. I went shopping yesterday and got a pair of jeans and a long denim skirt in the JoJo Maman Bebe sale. I actually let out an audible sigh when I tried the jeans on - I had forgotten that they are the single most wonderful article of clothing in the world. Guess that explains why I didn't stop wearing the last pair until about a year after DS was born .

Chulita · 17/01/2010 14:20

Sorry Boos

And to all of you with easing ms - binned my morning cuppa again this morning...such a waste! If I keep doing that, DH might stop making them for me [how will I ever get out of bed emoticon]

sparkle101 · 17/01/2010 14:30

Sorry to hear your news boos

There has been far too many losses on this thread.... not fair

sparkle101 · 17/01/2010 14:34

Have just had a thought on how things change when you are pregnant....

Before I was pregnant I would enjoy a nice long hot bath with some scented candles and a nice glass of wine to chill out and relax....

Now - Have just has an adequately warm bath, where I sat with my sea bands on eating my melon pieces to stave away the ms with a bucket besides me just in case it didn't work. Sexy!!!!
