I'm so BORED

george32 · 04/07/2005 15:25

Oh Sweetheart, me too.

Only 2 hours to go!!

When I'm at homing with a new-born, whinging because I'm so tired, please remind me of my dull dull days at work

sweetheart · 04/07/2005 15:26

lol Do you think you'll miss work then??? I can't wait to be at home. Infact I might give myself something to do and find out how many days away it is..........

ninah · 04/07/2005 15:27

yeah it's a poor call being at your desk when there's stuff going on at home that you NEVER get time for

Arrghh! My knee - the one in which I had to have a ligament reconstructed years ago - is playing up. I think that pregnancy hormone, relaxin, is causing it. Grrr.

Caved and had to have a Coke today.

Mondays suck.

sweetheart · 04/07/2005 15:33

yep - totally agree ninah. Dh and I have both been busy this weekend and as a result my house looks like a war zone. Relised at 10pm last night that neither of us had thought to wash dd's and dh's uniforms for school/work!!! Bloody nightmare!!

Anyway, I have 132 days left til I go on maternity leave which equals 94 more days at work. That doesn't actually sound that many WOOHOO

sweetheart · 04/07/2005 15:34

pmsl!!! Mondays suck

I'd agree with that

expatinscotland · 04/07/2005 15:36

Sweetheart
Great idea! I need to count how many days I've got left as well.

george32 · 04/07/2005 15:37

Good idea Sweetheart.
Only 14 weeks left for me if I leave as soon as I can. 10th October is D Day I think.

I think I might miss the company of the people at work (although they are all pretty much out today). I'm worried that I might become a bit lonely once I'm a SAHM.

Expat, I couldn't agree with you more.

ninah · 04/07/2005 15:39

yeah maybe ignorance is bliss but I CAN'T WAIT! the only thing keeping me going is mat leave and better still NEVER coming back (tho dp is now freaking about £)

OP posts:
george32 · 04/07/2005 15:40

98 days but only 70 days at work left!!

Is that right? If I'm due on 29th can I really leave on 10th October? Anyone good at this kind of thing?

ninah · 04/07/2005 15:41

trouble being really bored is it saps your energy too so you are fed up all day and shattered in the evening
I have visions of taking the babies to the beach and spending the evenings painting (well you can remind me of this later on only don't rub it in!)

OP posts:
sweetheart · 04/07/2005 15:42

george, do you have any friends with children? I'm quite lucky that my SIL is having a baby in Spetember and my bf has just had a baby too so I'll have lots of people around me.

I still intend to try and join a mother and baby group or something though. I didn't keep in touch with anyone from antenatal last time round but I'm hoping to make some friends at my refresher courses.

You could always try finding some MN'ers local to you on other antenatal threads. I know the old June thread had lots of meet-ups which turned out to be a fab idea.

ninah · 04/07/2005 15:44

expat a coke's not too bad, surely! sorry about your knee. I walked up 5 flights of stairs today and nearly fell over had shaking muscles!

sweetheart · 04/07/2005 15:50

george - according to the Tiger website - the earliest you can start your mat leave is the 9th October. I take it you qualify for additional maternity leave!!!

Well here is a link to help you out

sweetheart · 04/07/2005 15:51

ninah - thats why I like the loola and creatis car seat. The creatis is a lay flat car seat!!!!

ninah · 04/07/2005 15:52

OP posts:
