Well found out this morning that I am pg!! 3 weeks and 4 days so pretty early days yet though!

Been trying for a fair while but first month using OPKs so would highly recommend them.

Will introduce myself anyway - dh and I both 26 with a 17 month old ds. Am so excited to be pg again even though it was a bit of a rough ride last time around!

Feeling ok, no sickness yet although my boobs are killing (and growing rapidly!) Bit nervous as I have a meeting later this morning with both my bosses. Not going to say anything yet but worried they will be able to tell as I am so excited! No real cravings yet - wish I had, preferably any excuse to eat cheese and chocolate (not together) Am looking forward to telling dh all the things I can't do anymore.....! any tips?! He was over the moon this morning - just gutted he had to leave me and go to work.

desperatehousewife · 13/07/2005 08:50

definately no lifting or shifting of heavy things. Which definately includes the hoover (!!!) and heavy shopping.

munz · 13/07/2005 09:02

morning girls,

big congrats jack, yes as DHW say's you'll DH will soon be moaning about u neglecting him, the house will be a tip and naturally 'the girls' will be the first ppl u tell stuff to! (ah the world of MN!) lol. I no longer carry the hoover/wash basket up the stairs infact I've started to just tidy around and then get DH to do the hoovering/duvet changes etc! - don't want to over exhurt now! lol.

hope everyone's doing OK, all pains etc have now gone, was lieing on the sofa from 7 last night and went to bed at 8.30 crying for no apparent reason, bloody hormones, boobs are still so sore.

friz - had the same problem with being sick! (althou not sure if it's wind or not lol, thou I did go yesterday!) glad ur lasagna was nice thou.

RP - how did it go with your mum? I ahd the opposite from mine, I told her and she said ok we'll wait till the dr's b4 we get excited, then that was fine and now she's ecstaic! (sp) lol. bless.

anchovies - good luck with your midwife apt, I didn't realise they worked on the w/e (community m/w's that is) I assumed it would be monday to friday. apparently ours does home visits as well which I think will be better for me as well.

tb - u have 7.5 months left yet for ur cravings to kick in hon! lol. (hopeing I get some soon thou!) lol.

munz · 13/07/2005 09:03

ooh yes DHW well done forgot that one, i've stopped carrying the dog food about as well (15KG bags) and he now carrys my shopping thru to the kitchen and packs it away whilst I sit and tick!

desperatehousewife · 13/07/2005 09:06

munz - what the dog does all that?!

munz · 13/07/2005 09:09

lol, we have 2 dogs a staff and a german sheppard, 15 kg badgs last em about 3 weeks 4 if I strech it out a bit (but then they're hungry and cry at me for feeding)

Lizzylou · 13/07/2005 09:09

I want sore boobs...

Just to feel a bit more "pregnant"!!! I'm not a masochist!

desperatehousewife · 13/07/2005 09:11

everyone feels things at different rates don't forget...i remember going bananas at 5 months when I still hadn't felt my baby moving and all my friends at antenatel had.

munz · 13/07/2005 09:15

oh LL i'll trade u any day, my boobs are killing honestly the loinger u don't have them acheing the better.

desperatehousewife · 13/07/2005 09:16

I don't remember this boob aching thing from first time round....i thought it only lasted a couple of days...but it's been 6 weeks! Ow. And I'm not a small girl either. I'm going to be carrying mine around in a wheelbarrow before long. God, dreading how grotesque I'm going to look!

Lizzylou · 13/07/2005 09:16

I know, but I have no sickness (I didn't last time) and just keep thinking...perhaps those tests were wrong??? As soon as I have my midwives appt and 1st scan I'll be fine!

anchovies · 13/07/2005 09:22

Congrats Jackstini

So glad you're feeling better today munz. I'm ridiculously hormonal too, poor dh can't do anything right!

Lizzylou, I said I wanted to feel pg last week and am now seriously regretting it! I know what you mean about feeling tired, I've got a toddler too and he's completely worn me out already this morning, roll on nap time!

Hope everyone else is feeling ok this morning and not suffering too much with the heat. I have got a big fan blowing right on me and am still too hot! I suppose I should be grateful we're not due in July or August, then I really would feel sorry for myself!

munz · 13/07/2005 09:23

LL - I think we all have days like that, but have to believe the tests were right, after all they are 99% or something isn't it? have u booked in yet?

DHW - he he he let me know where u get hte wheelbarrow from I think i'll need one as well - cos this over the shoulder boulder holder's starting to get a bit small!

anchovies · 13/07/2005 09:23

My boobs really hurt last time but are ok this time, they're just enormous!

OP posts:
desperatehousewife · 13/07/2005 09:32

i don't think my could get any bigger humanly!

oneofeach · 13/07/2005 10:47

Hi everyone, I too am scared that the tests have been wrong! I am getting waves of nausea, my boobs are sore and I am exhausted by 2pm but I still don't quite believe it! I rang the docs today to check if I do have to see the doc before I can see the midwife and I do, and I have to give a sample for them to double check if I am pregnant. Now I am worried that I won't be! I know it's so silly, it must be all these hormones. For those of you feeling yuckky, lemon and ginger tea was good for me last time.

Lizzylou · 13/07/2005 10:50

I am ringing the docs today, put it off a bit cos I loved my old docs last time but we have moved and the new doctor is, ummm, a waste of space! There is a reason she was the only doctor without a waiting list in a 5 mile radius!

Jackstini · 13/07/2005 15:44

Thanks for all your congrats! - obviously not telling too many peeps at this early stage so it is great to tell someone! Thanks for your ideas on jobs for the DH too I got through my meeting without my bosses guessing anything. Nervous about seeing them next week though as I am flying over to head office and worried about such a long flight (11 hours)

OOE - I too was worried about my tests (am I aren't I) but a friend recommended the digital one. It is soooo much better to see the word "pregnant" come up on the little screen rather than trying to decipher those lines & dots!

Good luck at the docs for you & LL - I am hoping to get in tomorrow or Friday

munz · 13/07/2005 15:46

ooh jack that's the ones I used - amongst others! so much better to see it in black and white.

Frizbe · 13/07/2005 15:57

Hi Jackstini, glad you found us

Munz, hope your feeling a bit better?

Hows the sickness anchovies?

Hi to everyone else as well!

Well I've been feeling grotty all day, bar two hours this afternoon, poor old dd was running rings round me this am, whilst I lay on the sofa, going mummys feeling ill and blaming baby bump (as bump is now called) so she kept coming over and kissing my tummy bless her, awww...
Mum came over today and helped out with dd for a bit, which was bliss, so I could continue lying down feeling very icky.....however I had to take dd for her swimming lesson at 12.30, and bloomin eck, if I'd just told the teacher, I may have to leg it and puke, when I got in the water and felt fine for a whole half hour! must be something to do with weight and sickness??? odd I know, but I really did feel great for half hour! and to be honest, haven't felt as bad since, phew! must make note to go swimming everytime I feel rancid!!

Lizzylou · 13/07/2005 16:00

Have rang docs and don't have to go to the doctor at all, have a midwife appt for two weeks time...am v relieved!

I have to say, Frizbe a nice cool swim sounds very appealing at the moment!

desperatehousewife · 13/07/2005 17:41

Finding dealing with a 3 year old very difficult at the moment, particularly as he has turned into devil child!

I have not much patience for him - poor boy.

He fell asleept in the car at lunch time today when we were out so I went to a drive through Mcdonalds and got myself a quarter pounder with cheese, chips and an orange juice...snaffled the lot whilst he was asleep!

I NEVER have mcdonalds - I was like a woman posessed - I HAVE TO HAVE ONE ! Went down a treat.

Managed to not introduce the evils of maccy D to DS yet! Sure it won't be long though if I go on like this.

munz · 13/07/2005 18:18

DHW shame on u not waiting till DS was a awake! (sounds like the sort of thing I do - in fact it is! lol, mac'd only happens in this house when DH is away!)

friz - yes feeling much better today thanks, not half as hormonal (I think it helped to tell the girls in work)

lets hope CP is joinin us soon!

Ags · 13/07/2005 20:33

Have just checked in - not been in since Monday and am definately going to have to keep up more. So much happening and lots of new people to congratulate. CONGRATULATIONS!!

Rosie, my complete stats are Ags, age 33, dh 38, ds 22 months, due date March 3rd. That is lovely to be able to see who everyone is at a glance. Great idea.

Have been feeling a bit off the last two days. Big shock for me as had none with ds. No vomiting but off my food which is unheard of but ravenous too. Very strange.

Very interested to hear if anyone has experience of sickness and the sex of the baby. Have heard you are more likely to be sick with a girl? ANy first hand experiences to share?

Frizbe · 14/07/2005 09:51

Well Ags, I wasn't sick at all with dd, had a day of both ends going, (sorry TMI) but reckon that was a bug I caught at work, bar that nothing, this time I've been really nauseous for the last two weeks, but I brought some ginger ale yesterday, so thanks to who ever recommended that (may have been the feb thread?) as it works a treat and I'm feeling virtually normal again So we reckon its either a boy or twins (argh!)
