Well found out this morning that I am pg!! 3 weeks and 4 days so pretty early days yet though!

Been trying for a fair while but first month using OPKs so would highly recommend them.

Will introduce myself anyway - dh and I both 26 with a 17 month old ds. Am so excited to be pg again even though it was a bit of a rough ride last time around!

DHW -LOL not getting picked for netball - u mena u actully did it in those hideous little skirt things! (give me basket ball anyday - least u didn't have to wear a skirt and have someone shout 'travelling' at u all the time!) - I think I spend too long on here that's what it is really! lol.

friz - ooh fruit shorties - oooh I love those esp dunked in tea - hmmm! I can eat a whole pack to myself! hope the sickenss passes soon

anchovies - hope u start to feel a bit better soon as well hon.

I've developed a few aches and pains in my lower abdomen (the right sides) later this monring/afternoon, althou i've been busy packing orders etc up so I think i've done quite enough of the packing for one day and intend to sit on my arse for the rest of the afternoon talkin to u guys. been to the loo loads of times and thankfully no bleeding but still a bit watchful of these pains, hopefully they'll go away - all my fault for thinking I can carry on as normal and lift etc.. so from now i'll wait for the new girl to start and she can do all the lifitng. - god thaht feels so jack thou, still don't care beanie comes first.

anchovies · 12/07/2005 13:37

ha ha "travelling" that has really tickled me! God I hated PE!

Take it very very easy this afternoon munz, defo get the new girl doing all the hard work, you're "with child" and need to rest! I know what you mean about going to the toilet, these early weeks are scary aren't they.

majormoo · 12/07/2005 13:40

I do feel sorry for those of you feeling ill, but I am also stupidly a bit jealous, because other than being a bit tired and having the odd bit of dizziness, I don't have symptoms.

Last time I am sure I felt quite nauseous in the early weeks. I suppose I did live in london then and was getting on packed tubes everyday, whereas now am in less busy Brighton, but all the same I can't help worrying!

Ags-by the way when I called my doctors they made me an appointment with the midwife. I did not have to see my GP. I was surprised the midwife saw me so early (about 5 weeks)-I don't go back til 12 weeks for my next appointment and my nuchal scan.

munz · 12/07/2005 13:44

they are v scarey - I will be resting for the rest of today don't worry - start as u mean to go on and all (hense why i'm still sat here chatting to u lot!)

PE - god I hated it as well! (that's why I did a second language at school cos it got u out of PT each week!)

majormoo · 12/07/2005 13:46

by the way Munz, definitely take it easy. Buy a pack of fruit shorties (I'm not sure what they are by the way-I've been going for Viennese whirls) and have a cup tea and boss the new girl around!!

desperatehousewife · 12/07/2005 13:47

majormoo - i was in london with my first preg too. I am in brighton now also! You are due just before me!

munz · 12/07/2005 13:52

MM - i'd love to but she don't start till friday - typical! lol, and even then she's 'higher' than me said like that cos i'm accunts manageer and she's office manager. (and on 5K more a yr than me - Might have to start making grumbles about that)

Frizbe · 12/07/2005 14:59

Ah ha! see I've got you all hooked on Fruit Shortcakes! yummy! have to say they're the 1st sweet thing I've fancied in ages, I seem to be very savoury this time around.....lasagne for tea I think!

munz · 12/07/2005 15:07

ooh friz - don't I haven't had that for ages, with a few chips and garlic bread - ooh my mouth's waterin now - we're having bangers and mash tonight. Think i'll have to do a big lasagna when BIL is down next month.

RosiePosie · 12/07/2005 15:25

bless you anchovies, and you've managed chronological order too , now I feel very stupid, I blame the hormones!

majormoo · 12/07/2005 15:59

Desperate housewife we will have to meet up in Brighton sometime.

Only 1 hour left til I finish work-hurrah. Should not be stuck in an office in this weather

desperatehousewife · 12/07/2005 16:25

MM - are you coming to the August 5th lunch time meet up?

majormoo · 12/07/2005 16:45

I can't as no baby sitter for DD. Next time there is an evening one or a weekend one I will though.

Cadmum · 12/07/2005 16:59

Thanks for the lists! That helps. I am expecting #4 for the record. Perhaps I am mad?!?!

anchovies · 12/07/2005 19:50

Rosieposie, don't be impressed it took me ages I am so sad!!! You're still in charge, I can't face an hour of - and # again, bet you knocked yours out in no time!

OP posts:
Frizbe · 12/07/2005 20:27

Cadmum, your certainly not mad!! just temporarily insane I think is what we should be called, afterall, who actually wants this sickness and then you know what happens when you give birth....argh! pass the drugs please

Good job on the list anchovies

Bet your bangers n mash we're lovely tho munz I only just managed to eat my lasagne, as kept feeling sick, dh had to drag it out the oven and eat with dd, whilst I lay on the sofa, spooning it in, when I felt like I wasn't going to barf....feel ok again now tho? just don't get it....kept feeding myself all afternoon n still felt like pap.....

RosiePosie · 12/07/2005 20:45

Yes anchovies, it took me very little time - that's why I made so many mistakes! Next time I will wait until the kids aren't running riot in the next room and I'm able to concentrate a little better. My mother is staying for two nights whilst my dh is away this week, she has been here all day and I still haven't plucked up the courage to tell her, and now if I tell her tommorrow she's going to moan that I didnt' tell her today! I think I'm going to chicken out for the time being. . .

toothyboy · 12/07/2005 20:56

Mmmm - just had pizza - I am considering it as one of my cravings; although bangers and mash is my all time favourite meal (and has been for as long as I can remember), so perhaps that could be also be one. I'm definitely a savoury kinda girl! Any other ideas for good cravings??!!!

Btw - didn't have any cravings last time and felt cheated - so am planning to make them up this time!

anchovies · 12/07/2005 21:29

Just had a phonecall from my midwife, am so pleased cos it is the same lovely one as I had last time! Apparently all appointments are now done at home, got my booking appt a week on sunday, bizarre but I'm very pleased!

Having tuna steak with cous cous for tea, nothing I want less in the world but I left dh to choose and cook so it's my own fault! I want pizza or lasagne! As far as cravings go I am totally a savoury person except when pg its very strange!

Good luck with telling your mum rosieposie, my mum was not impressed that I didn't tell her the second we found out bless her!

Congrats Jackstini...how are you feeling?

I have no sickness or anything at the moment, feel tired but that could just be the heat and a toddler....wish I could feel more "pregnant"!!!

I do crave cheese, anything cheesy in fact, but I always do and am just giving in a bit more now I am eating for 2!!!
