Well found out this morning that I am pg!! 3 weeks and 4 days so pretty early days yet though!

Been trying for a fair while but first month using OPKs so would highly recommend them.

Will introduce myself anyway - dh and I both 26 with a 17 month old ds. Am so excited to be pg again even though it was a bit of a rough ride last time around!

OP posts:

Frizbe · 16/08/2005 17:48

Ps hope you don't mind me on here, but I'm sure bubba will be a March baby!

desperatehousewife · 16/08/2005 17:51

frizbe - many congrats - fantastic news! I'm thining that if I have an elective c-section I am likely to be end of February...so will have to leave this thread...OMG! Think I can stay with you though until 36 weeks though, cos they won't book me in for c-section til then.

Jackstini · 16/08/2005 18:06

So glad I am not alone - usually I blame the blondeness but now I have 2 reasons for being such a numpty

Jackstini · 16/08/2005 18:09

Oh Friz that's fantastic - so excited for you!!
Would miss your posts (& DHW) so don't you dare either leave this thread. Friz - you keep your legs crossed & DHW - just have to try and book CS for 01 March...

swiperfox · 16/08/2005 18:21

DHW - Have you mentioned to anyone (doc or midwife) that you are thinking of an elective cs? If you decide to have one, get in there as early as you can - I had to literally fight to get mine!! Luckily my midwife was lovely and put in my notes that I found my emergency cs and whole first birth experience 'a terrifying ordeal' lol in order to make them agree to let me have one. I had to go to see the consultant and tell him why I wanted it and he did everything he could to put me off and sent me home 'to think about it' DP told me I had to go back and stick up for myself or I wasn't going to get it so i had to see him again and basically demanded to be booked in!!
I'm not sure if it's like that everywhere but the consultants were definately very anti elected cs!!

desperatehousewife · 16/08/2005 18:32

blimey swiper! Yes I have mentioned it. I had what they have described as 'complications' (pre-eclampsia, induced, then undiagnosed breech leading to emergency c section), so she said I could have whatever I wanted. I did ask about laser key hole surgery but not sure she found that funny!

I am now waiting for appointment from hopsital to go and meet the obstetitian (not sure what one of those is) but basically will discuss with them pre-eclampsia and c-section.

oneofeach · 16/08/2005 19:50

Hello again everyone, I've got my scan next week. I'm having the nuchal translucency scan and I'm getting worried about it. I just want it over and done with so that I know everything is OK and I can relax and try to enjoy being pregnant (for the last time).

I have put on weight already. I actually bought some maternity jeans at the weekend although I won't wear them until I've had my scan (tempting fate and all that). The tiredness has worn off and I am feeling less sick as well. Anyway just wanted to stay in touch!

munz · 17/08/2005 09:35

dhw - ROFL that's a cracker that one wrong bank! lol.

DHW/Friz - u two best still post on our post natal thread cos U ain't leaving! lol. either that or have ur beanies on 1st march! lol.

hopefully the apt will go well today.

hope everyone's doing OK

munz · 17/08/2005 09:36

oh friz - were u gonna start a new thread? should we do one? for the second trimester, or wait till we all get to 12 weeks?

Lizzylou · 17/08/2005 09:44

LOL at everyone's PG brains...glad I'm not the only one!!! Have been awake since 3.30am, after having a nightmare and then being too scared to go to the loo to pee!!! What a wuss! I keep having bad dreams...is everyone else sleeping OK?
I am constantly knackered, but can't sleep through the night without waking for the loo/having a bad dream......
Am knackered!

RosiePosie · 17/08/2005 10:12

I'm not having bad dreams, but I am having extremely vivid ones which have very surreal storylines!

desperatehousewife · 17/08/2005 10:18

I'm waking every bleeding night for a wee. Fed up with it. Particularly as DS is waking at 5.30 every single morning! Grrrrr......

munz · 17/08/2005 10:39

er yes I do have weird ones I had on sunday where a zombie was chasing me all over town with a friend, then we went into a house by a stream and I cut his throat but he turned into someone I knew so we ran off, then he turned back into a zombie and chased us again, then I went and got married but it all went hideously wrong. weird! told DH he recons i'm a nutter!

either that or they're terrible erotic!

oldfool · 17/08/2005 11:07

Yes to the erotic dreams! Been having some really sexy dreams, but always featuring people I don't know! Daft thing is I feel I should know them but can't place them.. (spose it beats Zombies tho!)

Lizzylou · 17/08/2005 11:10

I confess to some pretty good "saucy" dreams too...problem is, I wake up after them too...!!!

munz · 17/08/2005 11:19

of - wish mine were they always feature either th postie (hmm!) or christopher eccleston - more often than not CE.

newgirl · 17/08/2005 12:09

Ooh christopher eccleston - now you're talking. I'm going to try and get him in my dreams tonight.

very funny posts today - made me laugh a lot. Glad to know preg brain and wee stops are the norm!

I had an emergency c-section last time and the midwife said I could have an elective if I liked but for some odd reason I said I'll see how it goes. I think I have gone in to a fantasy where the baby will pop out in my living room while I am watching christopher ecclestone as doctor who so there will be no need for hospitals and such like.

munz · 17/08/2005 13:42

well girls, been to the see the m/w today, and good news!!!! she heared the heart beat and the placenta and says it's a viable PG, YAY there's def something there, i'm not imagionin it!

CE - well ahem, that's why i'm in this position! lol, the finale was on and I jumped on DH, and ahem well relaxed!

Lizzylou · 17/08/2005 13:43

Fab news Munz!!!!

desperatehousewife · 17/08/2005 15:01

ah munz, that's fantastic news (not about christopher eccleston!)....you must feel so increcdibly relieved.

Just realised that I'm going to have to take my DS (aged 3) to my 12 month scan in a couple of weeks. Oh well, guess I'll have to tell him then!

Am so dog tired it's not funny!

Jackstini · 17/08/2005 17:20

Great news Munz
Hope other people's erotic dreams are better than mine - last weekend feathured Anthony from big brother!!!

desperatehousewife · 17/08/2005 17:28

pmsl! Shall be ordering some erotic dreams tonight. Can't remember any of my dreams at the moment....

RosiePosie · 17/08/2005 17:29

That's not as bad as mine, Jackstini. . . mine featured Greg from the Wiggles

desperatehousewife · 17/08/2005 18:09

oh dear god - what's happening to you all? Pull yourself together women - sort your dreams out!!!

Frizbe · 17/08/2005 21:33

I agree with DHW, the wiggles, come on and as for that oik off Big Bro....

PR and Lizzy Lou, I've been having vivid dreams too...not erotic mores the pity tho!

Oneofeach, nice to see your still around! don't forget us! let us know how you get on next week.

Munz OK then I'll hang around! my betting is delivery on 3rd March anyway, as dd was 5 days late, so bump might be too!
I reckon start a new thread when more people are at 12 weeks, unless anyones having dial up probs?
