Well found out this morning that I am pg!! 3 weeks and 4 days so pretty early days yet though!

Been trying for a fair while but first month using OPKs so would highly recommend them.

Will introduce myself anyway - dh and I both 26 with a 17 month old ds. Am so excited to be pg again even though it was a bit of a rough ride last time around!

Hi all,
Not having a good day today, started geting pains in my stomach last night, woke up this morning and had a very small bleed, phoned early pregnancy unit and managed to get another scan tomorow morning. Feeling realy low and pissed off, this is my third bleed and im only 9 weeks. Cant wait for the first three months to be over its going so slow. Anyway bleeding has stoped i still have morning sickness (hopefuly a good sign).
I hope you are all ok and not feeling too sick.

desperatehousewife · 11/08/2005 14:28

fingers crossed marne. take it easy today.

x

marne · 11/08/2005 14:30

Thankyou, got dh running around doing evrything!

majormoo · 11/08/2005 14:40

Good luck tomorrow. Definitely carry on making the husband run around after you.

I know what you mean about the time going slowly. This early bleeding is so scary-I am worried almost every time I go to the loo.

Hope everything is OK.

Jackstini · 11/08/2005 17:09

BB just saw your news {{{{{hugs-a-plenty}}}}} winging your way
Cadmum - so pleased everything was ok
Marne - hang on in there and take it easy

I have been for a spa day today and even though couldn't do the sauna/steam stuff it was so bloody lovely to just sit and read a magazine and have a pedicure. Feel the best I have done for weeks - highly recommend it to you all!!

oldfool · 11/08/2005 18:41

Well I've had my booking in with the midwife. Feels really weird to be back in the system after all this time and didn't help that she was running 20 minutes late. Just got to wait for a 12 week scan and assorted bloods.

My boobs are still really sore and rock hard. Other than that I've had no other symptoms. I was really sick with all my other children but this time nothing apart form a bit of nausea at 5-6 weeks. Feels like I've just imagined the whole thing really. On the plus side I seem to have lost 1/2 a stone, unless the surgery scales are wrong.

Anyone else still getting the low pains like a pulling?

Frizbe · 11/08/2005 20:37

Lucky you re the weight old fool! our surgery scales weigh about half a stone heavier than my ones at home although the midwife also agrees with me that they weigh heavy, I reckon they should get rid of them!!

Baggybear {{{Hugs}}} so sorry for your loss

Marne, take it easy mate, hope all is ok for you.

munz · 11/08/2005 22:50

marne - good luck tomorrow, try to get some rest.

OF - yes I do I had pains across my pelvic area on sat/sun and put it down to wind (tuggin sorts of pains) then today i've had a dull ache this afternoon by my apendix scar, no bleeding or anything but again put it down to wind, althou it does concern me. DH is as unhelpful as ever with his take some parocetamol (sp) - well no I want to go to the EPU but he doens't think there's any point - bloody men!, not long till m/w's visit and I can ask her what it's all about.

just finished the harry potter book - v sad.

Jackstini · 12/08/2005 09:26

Had my scan date through this morning and is not until 8 September I will be 14 weeks then - don't want to wait that long but I know I am just being impatient !!

munz · 12/08/2005 09:30

of - how long did ur midwife visit take? did u ask about the pains?

swiperfox · 12/08/2005 09:35

How are you marne? Hope you managed to get lots of rest

I feel like c**p today!!!! I feel so sick and still keep getting period type pains which i don't like - makes me nervous!

I'm debating whether or not to go to the doc or wait a while...I'll hopefully get a dating scan at 12 weeks but that's 6 weeks away yet...so long!!

Munz you can always ring someone and ask if you are feeling unsure..go with your instincs - sometimes it's better not to listen to the dh's lol they haven't got a clue!! (Can you tell mine is being useless??!)

Do any of you have any good remedies for the sickness?

Hope you are all well

munz · 12/08/2005 09:37

sf - try ginger ale, I found it helped in the early stages (althou mine's not been particually bad) i'm sure most of what i'm feels natural anxiety and worry,

10 weeks today - YAY double figures!

Jackstini · 12/08/2005 09:39

SF - or ginger biscuits work too
Munz - I am 10 weeks today too - woohoo!!

munz · 12/08/2005 10:21

woohoo - happy 10 weeks!

marne · 12/08/2005 10:41

Good morning girls,
Just got back from having the scan, all was ok, baby is growing fine, could see head and body but looked like a blob to me, still not sure what caused the bleeding, could of been left over from implantation. The pains i had( a few of us have had) could be cauced by a cyst which you have on one of your ovaries which we all have until 12 weeks.
Anyway still feeling sick, dh wants me to make him a bacon buttie as he has been running around after me since yestaday morning.
Hope you are all well.

munz · 12/08/2005 10:57

oh so relieved everything went well for you.

I didn't realise we had cysts till 12 weeks.

when's ur next scan?/apt?

marne · 12/08/2005 11:04

The cyst gives of chemicals until the placenta kicks in.
Next scan will be at 14 weeks, dont know if i will go to this as it is a dateing scan and they have given me a date from the scan i had today. Is to many scans bad for the baby or is it all safe?

Frizbe · 12/08/2005 11:46

You'll be fine with another scan Marne, better to go, as keeps a good check on baby, plus they may be able to see the placenta better and check all that's ok too.

Munz, yeah 10 weeks

Well made a prat of myself in Boots today ladies....burst out crying after forgot to hand over my boots card, and then they refused to credit the points, ahem I blame pregnancy hormones.......was rather a lot of points tho....could have shopped somewhere cheaper if it wasn't for the points....grrrr....

swiperfox · 12/08/2005 11:58

Frizbe - bless - have you got your boots receipt? ususally if you take it in with you next time and say that you didnt have your card with you for that purchase, they will put them on for you

Cadmum · 12/08/2005 13:24

Oh my goodness do I ever feel horid today.

I have been up for two hours and have been sick 5 times. How am I going to get through the next two weeks? I have tried the gingerale and ginger biscuits but to no avail. Any other brilliant suggestions most welcome.

We are supposed to be off to a friend's cottage on a lake this week-end but I am having trouble staying verticle let alone packing. Hope this feeling eases as the day goes on.

How is everyone else coping? Hope you are all well.

munz · 12/08/2005 13:29

cadmum - i've also tried dry toast (nibbles) and dry buscuits ie digestives.

did u see TL's thread for u in chat about the doppler?

RosiePosie · 12/08/2005 13:40

Orange lucozade Cadmum. I've drunk gallons of the stuff over the last few weeks. I've still felt horrendous, but it's helped me stay vertical rather than horizontal. Don't know if they sell it in Canada though. . . .

Jackstini · 12/08/2005 13:42

Cadmum - could also try bananas - something to do with them having B vitamins. Or my SIL is using those seasickness bands with some success - good luck

munz · 12/08/2005 13:51

quick question girls, on my pregnacare box it says to take it all thru PG and BF, but the dr and mothe&baby website say only take it for 12 weks - so which is right?

incidently if u take pregnacare i've just found out (after buying it in boots for 16/17 months) that it's cheaper in wilkos at 3.33 for 30 days supply.

Frizbe · 12/08/2005 14:27

Thanks for the tip Munz! have just run out myself!

Swiperfox, good idea, must remember to get different checkout girl tho, and make sure hormones are in check before getting there.....argh!

Cadmum, have you tried a good old bacon sarnie, I know you can get fairly decent bacon up your way, unlike that awful stuff in the USA! or how about some decent cheddar cheese can you get any of that?
