Well found out this morning that I am pg!! 3 weeks and 4 days so pretty early days yet though!

Been trying for a fair while but first month using OPKs so would highly recommend them.

Will introduce myself anyway - dh and I both 26 with a 17 month old ds. Am so excited to be pg again even though it was a bit of a rough ride last time around!

Welcome swiperfox. (I have been lurking on your other thread so I thought you might be on your way to an antenatal thread.) Congratulations. Hope it sinks in soon.

I am really sorry that I forgot to post here that my scan did go well yesterday. Strong heartbeat and the right size for dates. Sorry for being so paranoid and thanks for putting up with me.

majormoo · 11/08/2005 09:52

really sorry BaggyBear. Thinking of you.

swiperfox · 11/08/2005 10:53

Blimey has taken me since yesterday to read this thread through and i'm still not finished!!!!
I'm a bit more composed today though than i was yesterday!! The positive result was a bit of a shock!!
ok i am 28, dp is 40. We've got dd who is 3.7 (xmas day baby!) and ds who was born last june.
As far as I can work out i'm due roughly 10th April but will be 2 weeks early for a caesarean which puts me into the end of March

So far I still feel like my period is about to start - a few dull achy feelings which is a bit of worry, but i'm sure i had that last time because i remember with ds i was convinced i was going to lose it. So far no sickness which already has me thinking its a girl lol

Last time I had really bad SPD so I'm really praying it doesn't start up again.

This is the first time I've been around other pregnant people through mine so I'm really looking forward to it!!

Lastly, big Congratulations to everyone else on here!!

spacecadet · 11/08/2005 10:57

omg swiper!, so you got a bfp!

swiperfox · 11/08/2005 10:58

I certainly did!!!

RosiePosie · 11/08/2005 11:15

Swiperfox - I had SPD in my last pregnancy, only in the last trimester but enough to make me virtually housebound. I'm just over 11 weeks now and have been pretty twingy already, so I suspect it's going to be a rough ride through this one too. Although I wouldn't wish SPD on my worst enemy, it's good to have someone on the thread who atleast knows what I'm going on about if I start to have a moan! I've stopped my daily walk to school, and am being very careful about keeping my legs closed in the hope that I can preserve my pelvis a bit ( my poor dh! ) - I hope the SPD fairy is kind to you this time.

munz · 11/08/2005 11:18

what did dp say swiper?

swiperfox · 11/08/2005 11:24

I hope so too RP - I'm dreading it! When i got it last time, I had to pretty much diagnose myself as the doctor didn't seem tp know what i was talking about!! In the end, my midwife sent me to the physio dept at the hospital to get a big belt thing which helped loads - still agony though!

Munz I had to text dp after I tested but he was in work so rang me when he got out. He sounded really down and worried about money etc, bless him. So when i went to bed i sent him a text saying 'aside from money probs are you pleased?' He sent back 'yes of course'
Then he woke me up when he got home to talk about it and was all happy and excited

Phew!!!!!!!!

spacecadet · 11/08/2005 11:25

wow congrats! how do you feel about it?

swiperfox · 11/08/2005 11:28

I feel better about it today now that I know dp is ok with it. I'm excited now It feels really strange though because ity wasn't planned - one minute everything is normal next second everything's changed!!!!
