Well found out this morning that I am pg!! 3 weeks and 4 days so pretty early days yet though!

Been trying for a fair while but first month using OPKs so would highly recommend them.

Will introduce myself anyway - dh and I both 26 with a 17 month old ds. Am so excited to be pg again even though it was a bit of a rough ride last time around!

How about a stats list? Write down all your details and I'll try and get enough brainpower together to collate it all into one post. I'll start:

Rosieposie, aged 30 - due date Feb 28th with # 3. ( I decided to join the March thread as I was 8 days late with both other babies )

Chamomile · 03/07/2005 19:32

Last time when I rang the midwives I wasn't offered a booking visit till 12 weeks anyway so I am not planning to contact them for a few weeks.

munz · 03/07/2005 19:33

munz - due 11th march #1 (2 prev m/c incl one last cycle) off to dr's on fri for reassurance.

Frizbe · 03/07/2005 19:49

Hi all, hope your not feeling too icky today

My stats are, me 30, DH 40, no 2, dd is 20mths, due either 28th Feb, 2nd March or 4th March, depending on cycle?! docs said they'd probably go with the middle date of 2nd March, but will know better after 12wk dating scan!

LexyB · 03/07/2005 19:51

Am going to do the same as RosiePosie and join this thread as well as Feb 2005. Had a scan this week that made me 4-5 weeks and although by my dates i made myself due 15/2/05 I must have concieved late in my cycle ( first cycle after miscarriage in April so not surprised it was longer )Have now got a dating scan arranged for 9th August so will get a date then but at the moment its end of Feb, beginning of March.
Me 38
DH 29
DD 18
DS1 15 ( but not sure if he will get to 16 - I may kill him first - Teenagers !! )
DS2 13
Step daughter 9
DS3 10 months

toothyboy · 03/07/2005 21:08

Me 34, dp 36 and ds 2. Due March 1st. Hello to those joining us!
Munz, do you mean MIL is implying some sort of blame if something goes wrong?

munz · 03/07/2005 21:16

tb - no jsut that it's mine DH's and hers was how I read the message.

toothyboy · 03/07/2005 21:21

So she's trying to muscle in where she's not necessarily welcome?

Chamomile · 03/07/2005 21:34

My stats.
I'm 41, expecting No.3 March 7th
DS1(5) DS2(4) M/c 2 yrs ago

expressmummy · 03/07/2005 21:41

hi can i join this thread please im due i think on march 10th how early can i have a scan i had a miscarriage in may this is my third baby i have a ds whos 7 and a ds whos 4
this pg feels different and i think alll will be ok but would like a scan to put my mind at rest.

Chamomile · 03/07/2005 22:08

Hi expressmummy. At my hospital you get a dating scan at around 12 wks and an anomaly scan 20 wks. You wouldn't normally be offered an earlier one unless there were problems like bleeding.

munz · 04/07/2005 07:46

well it's not that, it's just this one will be our first and both of our parents first grand child (as long as everything's ok this time) so i'm feeling kinda all 'no it's my baby i'll do things my way and I won't be bullyed' if that makes sence (althou I am grateful they care so much if that makes sence. I suspect it's me being over sensitive at the mintue.

(tested again last night still BFP so i'll take another step in from the door if u don't mind!)

oneofeach · 04/07/2005 10:02

Hi all, I just wanted to introduce myself. I had my BFP last week and I am due around 6 March. I am 35, I have DS 4 and DD 20 months. I am sooo excited!! It doesn't feel real at the moment and I don't think it will until I have the scan. Best wishes to everyone

Frizbe · 04/07/2005 11:59

Hi to oneofeach and expressmummy

Munz, you have a big slap on the wrist for testing again, I thought you were giving all your tests to CP!!
I wouldn't worry too much about dh's parents, they're probably just as excited as you! is dh an only child? just a thought as I am, and I've never know my mum to be as bouncy, as when they first laid eyes on dd, although dad took a little longer to come round, he now wants dd to stay with them full time he dotes on her that much! I've obvously said no, but don't object to the odd weekend, so I can have a break!

Express mummy, some hospitals give an earlier scan if you've been having probs, its usually your doc who refers you (although I only know about this from reading otherpeoples posts!)

Well I'm feeling sick today, but have just shovled down a ham sarnie so hope that will do the trick....

munz · 04/07/2005 13:16

sorry ES I didn't welcome u, hiya nad welcome, and OF ello!

friz - I am - she's having my last two, a thermometer and a vid I was sent on fertility awareness. it's all packaged and stamped for sending tonight! so this month it's sticking! and my other friend's borrowed my persona so no going back now! lol.

RosiePosie · 04/07/2005 13:40

Hi everyone, well I'm six weeks today and I just feel horrendous. The nausea has been building gradually, but hopefully today it's reached it's peaked - surely it can't get any worse? So, the thought of feeling like this for the next 2 or 3 months is just apalling, but I've done it twice before, so I know I'll get there in the end. It lasted until 11 weeks with my DS, but until about 17 weeks with my DD . . . groan!
I'm collecting all the stats and will post them all once we have a few more people join us. Welcome and Hi! to any newbies.

Frizbe · 04/07/2005 20:36

I'm still feeling sicky too rosieposie....blurgh....didn't feel sick at all last time with dd, so hoping all is well in there/theres not a multiple in there! argh the expense if there is! still be very happy tho

toothyboy · 04/07/2005 21:03

Still no symptoms for me! I had a tiny amount of brown discharge (sorry!) this morning at about 10.30, but nothing since so am not too concerned. If I get any more I think I'll get to the midwife sooner than I intended just to check all is OK.
Hope everyone else is feeling OK!

expressmummy · 04/07/2005 21:08

hi all i went to the docs today and he told me that its early days didnt check my blood pressure or anything and asked if i was sure i was pg not my usual doc a locum i burst into tears and walked out does anybody know of any private hospitals around birmingham that i can pay for a early scan i have a midwife app on friday i am thinking about complaining about the doc he really upset me

munz · 04/07/2005 21:24

em - normally an early scan is at 6 weeks at the earliest, if you're really worried how about going to your EPU at the locak hospital/ A&E and making something up so they will give u a scan - sounds bad but I suspect most ppl do it, and it will put ur mind at rest.

failing that try to see your normal dr.

expressmummy · 04/07/2005 21:29

thanks munz i want to wait and keep positive but i feel on edge all the time i was never like this before and i know worrying is not going to me any good i need to chill out and stay positive.

toothyboy · 04/07/2005 21:36

EM - hopefully your midwife will be a bit more sympathetic and supportive to you. Let us know how you get on on Friday.

expressmummy · 04/07/2005 21:46

thanks for yr messages im sure i will be fine im just being daft im sure we all feel this way until we see our little beans on screen for the first time.

Hope everyone feels good not to sick

majormoo · 05/07/2005 13:27

My friend has just paid for an early scan at a hospital in London as she was worried-it cost her £100. There must be places you can get it done in Birmingham for a similar price if you want to. Everything was fine for her by the way.

My stats are:
Me:31
DH:32
DD:nearly 2
Due date: 2nd March

Lizzylou · 05/07/2005 13:27

HI, can I join you all?
Am 5 weeks now, have done about 7 tests (few were -ve, but was prob too early to tell!) but had a large resounding "Wit Woo look at me" line today so feeling like I must be! It is the first month we tried, which was the same as with DS (almost 16mths)...pregnancy calendar says due date is 6/3/06, which was spookily DS's due date!
Feel absolutely fine, no nausea (had none last time) but have lost my appetite! Which is highly unusual for me!
